Between shamen and ghouls

  • One evening, a party of young men and women headed out the gate, apperently under the lead of the crossbowman in Sails colours.

Those gathered to head out were him, Ailil, three humans two of whose names were Cade and Maynard ((Summoner, yours didn't introduce himself at the fire, right?)), an elf named Celuril and a halfling named Pellin.

When they departed they were joined by the young but capable Raghnild and Tiggles, and the more quiet human had left.
At their departure, the crossbowman said to Rando that he wouldn't return with danger trailing them, which Rando found very funny, apparently.

Night turned into day, and day was coming to an end, Cade and Celuril had already returned, without any apparent sign something was amiss.
Then the adventurers returned, bearing tales of shamen, an assassin and a grenadier, all by the edge of the woods.

More frightening though, was the tale of undead, crawling out of the ground before their very eyes, several ghouls had appeared, and even stronger ones.
The party retreated then, only to turn back when the crossbowman and Tiggles didn't follow them out.
Not an hour later, all but Tiggles came out of the woods, but they were wearing a content smile nonetheless.

The crossbowman was triumphantly wearing a shaman hammer at his side, giving praise to his comrades for slaying it, as well as all the other creatures.
But most of all, he seemd content at not having to drag people back to town, and even more so over not having broken his word to Rando.

((Big thanks to DM PartyKiller, having a shaman using hit and run on us was interesting, to say the least :winks: ))

  • Good thing indeed since Fred is gone. .

  • Rando is near the gates when they return

" sounds like you ran into a bit of trouble…. glad no one in your party needed freds services. Damn Gobs."
