_Hmmm….? Sure you can sit here, just so long as you buy me a drink. You want to know if I know about a young man named Theo? Well yes, I do happen to know a little about him. Well you've come to the right place.... well not the Boar's Head Inn, though its a fine enough drinking establishment. No I mean you came to me, old man Tippin. I know a little bit about almost everyone around these here parts, and a bit more besides that. Where's that drink you said you'd get me? Ah. Here comes Lana with the finest Ale this dive has to offer. Much thanks to you friend, even if it is just ale.
But where was I? Oh yes, Theo. His real name is Thelonius Lockewood. Quite a mouthful if I do say. He's a woodsman of sorts. If you ask him, he'll tell you he's from Lenchford in Damara, just on the other side of Rawlinswood, but if you ask me... by the way of another drink, something stronger than ale... I'd tell you different.
I knew you'd keep 'em coming. Hey Lana, don't forget that my friend here is buying for me. Well, my late Brother's Sister-in-law's Cousin was a neighbor of the Lockewood family. Did you know that boy was named after his father? I think the elder Thelonius was a monk, or a minstrel, or something.... Anyways, my Brother's Sister-in-law's Cousin does not live in Lenchford. Theo may have come from Lenchford, but that's not where he's from. He's from the Dales. Archendale to be more specific. Archenbridge to get more to the point, though that's the only town in that Dale.
For another drink, I'll tell you what Theo did in Archendale, but it better be Grog. Anything else tastes, and feels, like stale water at this point..... Ah, you are a curious one, aren't you? Well, he'd rather not you knew this.... heck, he'd rather not you knew he was from Archendale.... but he was a Scout for their Army. Mostly he piddled around Archwood, but he survived a few skirmishes with Sembians across their borders.
Why's he here now though? Well, I don't know for sure. But I do know that Archendale is a might unfriendly place. They don't like outsiders, and on account of that, they are down right paranoid when it comes to spies. My guess is that he got framed, if he was not in fact, a spy from a neighboring Dale, or perhaps another nation. Sometimes the wizards there put a geas on real spies to perform a mission for the Dale against another nation. Now wouldn't that be interesting? What would Archendale have against the poor, meager folk of Narfell? Well, I wouldn't know about that.
Really that's about all I know about him, other than he says he worships Shaundakul, and has the tattoos to prove it. But how much of that is true, and how much of that is a convenient cover for something else? Though he claims to be a wanderer, me thinks he'll be here in Narfell for quite some time._
