Jiyyd Rumors
-
Rumor has it that a man appeared during a demon attack wielding a sword awkwardly, his other arm held fast in a sling and wearing no armor and was charging into battle, until some woman in armor quickly sent him back to town. Supposedly he went like a dog with its tail down between its legs, and would later be heard often, grumbling and sometimes yelling about "TEN BLOODY DAYS!"

_A calm, red robed monk from the East passes on news to citzens of Jiyyd: should they see a blue mage, they are to ring the gong to alert a talking tree that lives near Jiyyd to his presence. The mage commands fire and rats.
How many believe, make sense of or follow her words remains to be seen…._
OOC: Fun stuff, Andelas.

_News the Dark enchantress appeared inside jiyyd again. It is not widely known what she wanted but it was in her normal mood.
Also news that once the now depressed leigonaire wog heard she was inside jiyyd he walks stright up to her, says something and shes kills him on the sopt. He is then seen later walking out of jiyyd looking annoyed and evan more depressed and heads west_

The slender elf Eluriel is conspicuously visible in Jiyyd as she seeks out a great many people and says the same thing to each of them. Everyone she has seen trying to help the poisoned dryad and everyone she considers a friend of the wilds she makes this request of;
Please, when you visit the dryad’s tree in the spider woods make mention neither of her nor of it and better still that no indication of their location is made. Tis perhaps best not to leave gifts for her and even to remove any you should see there lest they draw attention to that area.
If questioned any on this matter, her answer is but one word hissed with revulsion. Drow.

Vertus Dahl the Kossuthan Orator Priest hears of troubling earthquakes in this part of narfell and goes to speak with Vroka about concerns of the powers of the elements and to discuss matters of faith.
He then goes to speak to the legion about whether they think the orcs are responsible for these disturbances of the elements.
He spends much time in prayer close to a roaring fire in the queit borders of the town in prayer to his lord for insight on the cause of these disturbances.
-
Fires dot the plains in the night as the orcs continue on their patrols. Vroka reports that another wagon carrying healing supplies has never made it back to Jiyyd with the goods. It was expected a few tenday ago and she is worried the orcs have ambushed it as they have others in the past. Chants of "Grag the Coward" can be heard from the orcs in the plains. Those who understand the language can hear the chant coming from the plains as if taunting the Legion general.
-
Small tremors can be felt through Jiyyd from time to time following the recent events. Townsfolk still talk about the earth opening up after an earthquake rocked the town. Large creatures made of fire and rock emerged from the hole created, but were fought off bravely by several residents. Vroka seems to be spending a lot of her time in prayer these days and rumor has it that she was seen cleaning an old suit of armor a few days ago.

Some kind of magical powers make an Orc appear and dissapear inside the gates on Jiyyd…everybody seemed to be quiet confused...and suddenly lighting storms fall on Nathander Steel and the Jiiyd Guardsman and make them dissapear...after some time of confusion, a bunch of orcs (about 30) "appeared" directly inside the gates of jiiyd...they were quicly defeated.
5 strange portals apperared and beetlees, skeletons, and orcs, appeared throw them. After beeing them all defeated, someone had the explendid idea of sending Gonnar throw the main portal....
A sorcerer called Lortaine casted inv spell on him, and he went throw the portal...after some minutes waiting Gonnar appears again...
It seamed the portal was an uncontolled magic portal which teleports people and monster here and there...random...
Someone heard Gonnar asking the magic portal for some food...curiosly, some fish and coocked food appeared magicaly in front of him some seconds after he asked for it......

Another swarm of elementals strikes Jiyyd…..though this time not of air and water, but of earth and fire. The sky is dark, but the town is illuminated (and some buildings conflagrated) by raging fires and shaken by rumbling earthquakes. Another offering is made to the Seldarine, and the storm abates, leaving behind it charred defenders and a delerious and heatstricken elven priest.
-
Drelan can be seen describing the storms too many as evidentally he has weathered two. They always come about like a very bad thunder storm, then elementals begin to appear around the well, in greater and greater strength until the storm finally finishes. What seems to be the end of the storm he doesn't know, but he warns all when engaging the water elementals within stepping distance to hold their breathe's and to create greater distance as soon as possible or they'll drown.
The most recent one had very strong winds knocking down most that did not seek shelter in the eve of a building or near a tree.
He also scoffs at an elf's claims that "some crazy pirates or sailors" are causing the storm, saying that is highly unlikely as several of these ilk also engaged, some falling in an attempt to protect jiyyd.
Not a one of these odd storms has passed from what he's seen without there being casualties, and should be engaged with all caution.

Raryldor doesn't seem to mind the puddles, more than happy enough to plot down right in the middle of one and look at the sky
-
_Another storm swept into Jiyyd, sending thunder rumbling in the skies and lightning crashing to the ground. Trees lost many of their leaves as the fierce winds left them cold and naked.
Another rift opened to the plane of air, elementals swarming through, the the most common sized near felling many defenders, and the largest doing so.
It was many hours of battling in the windswept conditions before the priest of Corellon, Raryldor, managed to make an offering to Aerdrie of the Seldarine to close the rifts. His prayers were answered, and Jiyyd was safe once more - though the elven cleric was left without a cloak.
The next days, the ground remained saturated and filled with puddles. Those in Jiyyd were advised to wear thick boots, waxed against water._

Vrocka and Finnius discover that a newly mergent illness can be treated in the early stages with Remove Disease where as earlier cases must have been too advanced for such to work. It usually takes Fenberries made into a paste and consumed to keep the symptoms from returning, wheher it is an early stage or advanced stage form (which was found to be treatable with Clarity and Restoration or better only) The trouble is the early stages are not disgnguishable from a common cold. So few owuld seek help in time for the simplest remedies to work. Vroka senther findings out in letters to other healers around Narfel should they encounter this sickness too.
Word from Pelt confirms Vrock's fears, it is far more wide spread then simply Jiyyd and it doesn't even have a name yet. For simplicity'sake she refrers to it in her nots as Clover's Curse, since the stories of its origins seem to revolve around some little girl named Clover..

The man locked in iron mask could be seen visiting the temple. He went inside then simply walked off.
-
The screaming in the Temple stops, the room unlocked and empty. A young acolyte girl has gone missing.

@16ada74c3d=Vortext:
The sickness of the children grows. Now another victim of some arcane malady lies in the healers hut, tended by the gentle hands of Vroka. Mirkali consulted and tried many paths that Vroka could not but none showed any effect save that of remove fear.
A possible lionkage to Clover has been theorized but nothing solid concluded. What was discovered was that fenberries seemed to at least hold back the development of the disease. This seemed to the concept that the game of 'fruit basket' with clover might have had a secondary effect.
The trio of Gonnar, Sy, and Jerr set out to find some fenberries to see if they could aid the healer. A day later they arrived back at the hut with three baskets, each carefully labelled.
basket 1. Collected just before dawn, harvested with an adamantite dagger. Location was on the hill just outside the temple of the four winds.
basket 2. Ground variety found in the pixie glen of Norwick. Again harvested with the dagger. Time was midmorning.
basket 3. Climbing variety found on the cliff edges in the spider forest. Harvested with a normal dagger, just after sundown.
Each of the baskets were clean and carefully labelled and jerr dropped them off, hoping for the best. He comes and goes from the healing hut, always looking a bit concerned . . . but distracted.
After a few days, Vroka has a few things to report in the progress of her two patients. The boy, Henry and the man, she has come to fknow as Alvaro, both seem to be recoperating and reovering from their illnesses just fine. But only after she used up all of the fenberries of the third basket tot reat them in conjunction with castings of Greater Restoration. The fienberries he tried from the first wo baskets didn't seem to have any effect at all and she had tried them first.
The casting of Clarity as , the bard Mirkali had suggested toher, proved to take hte fear slant away from their manifested dreams but without Restoration theman stilll reerted back intoa comtose state, manifesting whateer he was dreaming around him as real. He managed to manifestt what Vroka could only guess to be his family, a rather disturbing sequence of scantily clad women. That is whee Vroka drew the line much to her colleague's disappointment and she tok ot casting Restoration upon the man. Vroka did start treating Henry with Claritya s wel too though until she could experiment through the basekts of fenberries.
Alavaro never head of this Clover girl, while Henry appears to be one of the playmates Clover was seen by a few playing around various towns and cities around Narfel with. Between talking to the two Vroka is pretty sure there's way more where they came from and isn't sure that alll the Fenberries in Narfell could cure them all or which of the details knownof the Fenberries from the third basket made them work and the others not. If it was the location or such, then there was some real hurt to come stilll.

…::Nathen Wingates, Kara Du'Monte, Lilin Roger, Evendur Mildsilver, Mirkali Vragnorich, as well as many more were seen on the rock just outside of Jiyyd, speaking of both casual and serious conversation. After roughly two hours of casual speach, there was an orc attack! With large sniper orcs, large axe holding orcs, and large magi orcs. There were no tiny orcs::
::The folks retreated further back into town, and defended accordingly. When barraged with catapults of firey death, the group of valiant, do-gooder heroes decided to take the fight to the orcs. Alas, rumor has it that when they came back, there were talking about duerger, and not orc. One can only wonder, the tiny possibility that the orcs might of been running away from the duerger, who were raiding the orcish territories?::

Legion Major Mog and Yolande were seen talking with a young lady by the Jiyyd wall in hushed tones but when onlookers came over to see what was going on the three of them quickly left for the Legion Hall. Some 15 minutes passed before the three emerged. It was said Mog's left hand was covered in fresh blood and look quite distressed with Yolande trying to reassure him. The unknown lady quickly disappeared. Rumor also has it that a sizable pool of blood about the size of a plate was found on the Legion hall floor.

Another storm rocked Jiyyd the other day. The storm's fury didn't quite match that of the previous storm, however there was one alarming incident. A hin mage of some power launched a lightning spell into the storm, causing a chain reaction of lightning arcs in the clouds which culminated in a powerful blast hitting the ground, slightly burning the mage.
The mage along with a few others then sent multiple lightning spells into the clouds. A massive reaction of lightning arced through the clouds and blasted downward in two powerful strikes which badly hurt the gathered crowd, resulting in one death.
