My parents are mad at me again. I swear I didn't do what they said. I told them it was the ghost in my room. They are punishing me by forcing me to help clean the stables. I hate cleaning the stables.

    Journal Entry #2
It's been almost 2 weeks since the ghost has not been around. I'm so happy for it. I'm also very excited because today my parents said they were going to be sending me to see my brother Jacob. I can't wait! He's been training as a Knight of Torm and has been absent from home for 3 years now. I miss him alot and can't wait until I can see him!

    Journal Entry #3
My brother is doing very well. He gave me a necklace and said it had magical powers on it. I don't believe him but I kept it anyways. It's very pretty. He said he only has one more year left of training before he becomes a squire under an existing Knight of Torm.

    Journal Entry #10
It's been three months since the ghost was last around and tonight it showed up again. Luckily though I was able to clean up the mess it left behind before my parents found out.

    Journal Entry #21
Some healers came to the house today. They said that dad was suffering from a horrible disease and didn't know how to cure it. Their magic wasn't working on it. I'm going to be travelling away with mother as the healers think it may be contagious and don't want anyone else to get sick.

    Journal Entry #25
My father died today. Mother is very sad, and I am too. My brother hasn't heard the news yet as he is out on a quest with his mentor. A messenger has already been sent but my brother probably won't be able to make the funeral.

    Journal Entry #27
My brother was able to make the funeral. He said he was teleported by a powerful magic user. I am so happy to see him after so long. After the funeral was finished my mother presented a sword to my brother. It was father's sword, she told him.

    Journal Entry #64
My brother's Knighting ceremony is today. He's finally going to be a Knight! It's so exciting and mother is so very happy after being so sad for so long. It has been almost 5 years! What makes it even more exciting is that I get to begin my training as a Knight today too! Today my mother told us everything about being a Knight. She told us many stories about father, and about herself. She was also a Knight. I didn't realize the historical significance of it all until today.

    Journal Entry #73
I was kicked out of the training grounds today and forced to work the fields for the next month. I have failed in my training and the ghost from home followed me causing lots of problems. I'm really upset and there is no one to talk to about it. All the kids think I'm funny and have funny ideas. I think they are just stupid. I can barely lift the swords for practice and when I look at the armors that the Knights wear all day I get exhausted. I still have my brother's necklace though. Having it with me keeps me strong.

    Journal Entry #75
I received a letter today from my brother. Him and his companions are going to be arriving at the training grounds today. I can hardly wait! Nobody believes me that I have a brother who is already a Knight. I can't wait to prove them wrong.

    Journal Entry #78
My brother and his companions were here today but didn't get to stay long. They had a wizard in their company who gave me strange looks all the time. They also had this really funny short gnome with a big hat and fancy clothes. He was so funny. I didn't get much of a chance to see my brother, but he did say hello and gave me a few pieces of candy from an exotic land to the south he had visited. He said he was on important business and couldn't stay very long. He also had a new shield that he said he found on his journies that has been helping to protect him. His presence has reinspired me. Afterwards the strange old wizard that was with him gave me a magical wand, but I told him it wasn't magical. He asked me how I knew it wasn't magical and I didn't know why, I just knew. He said that I was very special and should keep to my training as a Knight. He also said I could keep the wand, even though it wasn't magical. It was still nice to look at, carved from a white birch tree branch.

    Journal Entry #85
Mother came to visit me today. I'm leaving the Academy. She didn't seem very happy or impressed. I knew my progress at the Academy wasn't going very well. Furthermore, the ghost had been making more frequent visits as of late and I think the Headmaster instructed her that I was too much of a menace to keep around. I'm heading back in a carriage now to our homestead.

    Journal Entry #95
Something horrible happened today. I woke up and our house was on fire. I managed to salvage some of my special belongings and this journal before I had to run. When I got outside I saw a red dragon and my mother fighting each other. She looked very regal in her armor and shield and sword. They were exchanging swords, claws, and bite back and forth. Suddenly the dragon reared it's head and flames engulfed her. I trembled in fear and ran into the cellar. I don't know how long I was there but when I finally gather the courage to come out the fires had subsided and mother was nowhere in sight. I didn't know what to do so I took a horse and rode it to the Academy. When I got there, all I saw were dead bodies and flames everywhere. My brother was there too and beside him lay his companions he had been travelling with. I ran to his side, but I knew he was dead. I didn't know what to do. I began crying whenI heard a moan beside me. It was the wizard who had been travelling with my brother. He was trying to grab a potion at his belt so I grabbed it for him and put it to his lips. A rosy glow emanated all around him and he looked me in the eyes. He looked around frantically once he was somewhat conscious again and tears filled his eyes, but he quickly grabbed me up and I suddenly was whisked away via some kind of magic. The sensation was quite disturbing. Where we arrived at was a tower. The wizard looked at me, smiled and said to take some rest. He put his hand on my head and I fell into a deep slumber.

    Journal Entry # 113
I have been training with Master Perindalf for the last ten months. He said I am making excellent progress in the magical arts. It's hard to believe that in such a short amount of time I have come to gain so much magical power. Ten months ago I came to understand that the ghost who haunted me up to that time was in fact myself - my inner desire and urge to learn magic that I never knew about. Since that time I learned much more about my father, mother, and brother and why the dragon had attacked everyone and everything I held so dear. Apparently the dragon, an ancient red wyrm by the name of Zygotholos, was trying to prevent a prophecy from coming true nearly a millenia ago. This prophecy stated that my family would eventually bring his downfall and ultimate demise. Thus, he has been hunting my family for generations. It was only through the skillful talents of my family that we had survived this long. Now I am told that I am one of the few remaining members of my line and that I too will be hunted down. For now though I am safe. My Master tells me that in one years time my training will be complete.

    Journal Entry #180
Today I have left my Master in search of new friends and experiences. Master Perindalf has told me to seek out Spellweaver Keep if I am to continue my magical learning in the region known as Narfell. He said there is much to learn from that region and my talents as a would-be knight and sorceror will be well-sought.

    Journal Entry #181
I have changed my name, and keep my true identity secret. I keep my sacred vows to Torm at heart every day and vow to one day destroy this ancient wyrm lest he bring ruin upon myself and my family. I keep my brother's sword with me at all times, as well as his shield for one day I shall learn to wield them with great might. As well, I keep my family ring upon my finger at all times, a constant reminder of my will to survive, and my brother's necklace. The wand, who's energy was drained from the very beginning, I keep with me also in the hopes that one day I shall learn how to rekindle it's magic.

    Journal Entry #182
My journey has taken me to the town of Jiyyd after a horrible battle that left me the only survivor of my caravan travelling to that region that I and several others were entrusted to keep safe. The orc ambush forced me and my familiar to flee. Both of us horribly wounded, we took shelter at the first inn we came upon. In a few days, once our wounds are healed, I will seek out companions and learn more about this land and it's Spellweaver Keep.

Good style. I suggest copying it to Tales By The Fire and continueing the journal there (assuming you feel like it 😉 )
