    Ok, I'm not the best writer around nor do I know much about FR so feel free to correct/slap me for anything that seems wrong.

    Melanie is one of the two twin daughters of Kayla and Merandos Stern. Her twin sister is named Jen and they share an elder brother, Arden.

    Her mother is tall and lithe, with deep brown eyes, fiery red hair and a temper to match. Born a northern within the Silver Marches, Kayla was forcefully taken from her tribe at a young age and through many hardships eventually became a priestess of Torm the True.

    Melanie's father was born in Arabel, his mother the owner of a brothel. He was taken within the church of Tymora the Lady Who Smiles, learning the faith and himself becoming a faithful of the Lady. Merandos is a tall, built, dark haired man with bright blue eyes.

    Melanie herself is 6'2" tall, built, has fair features, hazelnut brown eyes, deep red hair and tanned skin.

    Born in Arabel, Melanie was raised within a loving family in good surroundings. Though her other two siblings were led to favour Torm, Melanie took an eye to Tymora. While growing up she learnt the ways of the sword and staff.

    Roughly a year ago, while she was still in her late teens. Melanie was in an inn with a friend, a rather close friend so to speak. While minding their own business, a man took fancy to her. Her friend, defending her honour stood up to the man, but lost his life after a blade was drawn. In kind she stroke back, killing the man and fleeing the scene.

    Emotions running wild and knowing what would happen to her if she stayed, she made the rushed decision that it'd be best for her to leave entirely. She only made one stop that night before leaving, her friend's home. There she told his parents of his demise and collected a single item of his.

    She left Arabel, heading to the north early that morning carrying only a few meager possessions. After some time making her way the best she can, she arrived in Narfell.

    Melanie still has the blade. She can sometimes be seen flipping through an old tattered book when times are dull, sometimes smiling and at others tears can be seen streaking down her face.
