History:
Roili Nack was born in a small village of gnomes far to the north. His father was a miner and his mother was a tailor. Everyone in the village worshipped Callandur Smoothhands(spelling?). He lived there until he was 10 years old, when disaster struck. A group of drow ransacked his village and enslaved the gnomes to work in the mines. They were given no food or drink until they found metal. Day after day they mined, never finding anything. After a week had past, the gnomes decided to try to escape. Their first attempt was a failure. Roili's parents and six others were killed by the drow. Roili swore vengeance, but the other gnomes were too afraid to attempt another escape. Roili thought of all the possible ways to get himself out of the mines, but all the plans were too risky. He then decided to just make a run for it, even though the drow would easily kill him. He waited for the best time to escape. One day, his chance came. The gnomes had found a large deposit of gold! All the gnomes except Roili showed the drow and pleaded for food and water. The drow smirked as they killed all the gnomes before Roili's eyes. When the drow turned to face him, they saw a burst of color and then darkness. Roili escaped using his emotions and his innate power to knock the drow unconscious with an illusion. Roili then took the drow's weapons and killed them. He sealed the gnomes and the drow within the cave, leaving a monumental tombstone for his village. He then traveled south, which took 35 years to the town of Norwick, seeking knowledge and power to eventually eradicate the drow. During the time he explored his magical abilities, and he was told by wizards that he had great potential as an illusionist.
Appearance: Roili is fairly handsome for a gnome. He has dark brown hair and a moustache of the same color. He is about the size of a 8 year old human.
Personality: He is kind to all he meets, either good or evil, unless of course they are anything other than hostile to drow. He is a good leader and a speaker, but relies on his appearance and leadership skills to persuade. He is always joking around and eager to explore new places, but is silent about his past. He is also very loyal and honest to his friends. Roili is an extremely likeable gnome.
