  • Just as a side note, it was the "Lost Sage Augathra the Mad" who wrote the years down many centuries ago in Candlekeep, according to p. 78 of the 3e FRCS.

  • Shameless bump because i've had a lot of people asking "approximate" dates of narfell lately

  • @9c197559bd:

1453 - Year of The Strangled Jester - February

That sounds about right for you Adlanail, after all, i've heard you sing!

Only joking, it is surely true that he has the voice of an angel!

But what funny names for years! You can't help but wonder at the origins of those strange year titles.

  • just to add some info Aluando the Wise was a sage and historian in candlekeep (around the city of Baldur's Gate as evidenced by the games). I'm not sure, but I think he was blind, and apparently gifted with some sort of sight… anyways, he had many different prophecies that he's predicted, and which is why he plays so heavily in the Baldur's Gate games since its HIS prophecy. Anyways just some information I picked up from a sight, think it was www.candlekeep.com or something like that. had a list of his other prophecies and might be interesting.

and now back to the real topic. 🙂
