Running after the maiden in black...
-
"Where are you call? Where are you? Don't leave me, no!" Ethrun awakes in cold sweat in his room within the Mermaid, this is the third time he has been awoken by the same nightmare.
Again and again, despite his wounds, the terrifying vision haunts the elf: the winged dark figure appears, and the body of Call Blackrose levitates towards him. "Awaken." the word seems to echo.
On the very night of Call's disappearance in the crypts, her fond elven friend had been searching all the lands for her. Only finally finding her by chance one fateful day within the kobold caves during one of his scouting wanders. He secretly followed Call and her group, hiding within the shadows and behind the rock pillars of the cave. Only to see the demise of all her companions at the hands of a legion of kobolds.
Managing to fight his way to the above level, he finds the stranded friend he had been searching so long for. Alas there were enemies nearby and Call could not rest her wounds despite the elf bandaging her up. Having little choice and not an opportunity to converse, the elf is forced to fight his way out to find help.
Ethrun, skilled in walking unseen, managed to slip pass most of the kobolds, except one that is skilled in the same area, a kobold silencer. Ethrun was forced to run instead of being subtle, and a small army of kobolds lead by the kobold silencer pursued the elven ranger, taking all measures they could to attempt to silence the elf, the only hope Call and her slain companions had.
The elf dodged and ran, ignoring the wounds the many kobolds inflicted upon him, determined to escape into town to give word and find help. He ran till he saw a dwarven figure, and collapsed. When he came to, he spread the word and gathered help, and a rescue team set off. By the time they reached however, Call had died from her wounds. Nevertheless the bodies were being carried to the temple in Peltarch.
This was where the nightmare began. The winged figure appeared at the temple gates, holding up his hand, the body of call levitated to him, along with that he took the sword bonded to Call as well, and vanished. Ethrun stood there, he could do nothing. "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" he shouted up to the skies.
"Where are you call? Where are you? Don't leave me, no!" Ethrun awakes in cold sweat in his room within the Mermaid, yet again, the fourth time…
Where are you? Maiden in black? Where?!?!? The elf runs in search of his dearest friend, but in vain, he finds no trace...
