Strange sight in town

  • The gates opened and Tribunal members Raila and Shai'llyn walked through the gates and stopped. Raila was holding a tied up individual by the legs and dragging him face down along the ground. They quietly talked for a momment then Shai'llyn approached the guards and informed them that the bound man was not to be allowed to leave the city and if he did they were to use any force necessary to stop him.

They both looked down and the man then at the bloody streak that was left from bound man. The man yelled out TRAITOR and tried to laugh. Some words were then exchanged between him and Shai but was abruptly stopped when Shai stomped her foot down on the side of his head. Tehn speaking in hushed tones they both nodded as Raila picked the mans feet back up and and started dragging the him face down again as she followed Shai into the tunnels.

The guards made no attempt to hide their discomfort or complaints as a large group of zombies formed in the town sqaure then staggered into the tunnels. What was happening in the tunnels none of them were eager to find out. Few hours later both Raila and Shai emerged and guards were even more shocked to see Shai'llyn openly laughing as they came near the guards. Raila ordered the guards to follow her into the tunnels as another small group of zombies staggered towars the entrance to the tunnels. Frowning the guards had no choice but to acompany the tribunal member.

Any one brave enough to look will see some guards standing as far away from some zombies who seemed to be pressed up against a gate. Anyone near when the gates are opened sees a room packed full of zombies pressing a man against the the wall at the far end of the tunnel.

  • Amerien hears rumors of Uraj being held but makes no attempt to see him. He hears the echos of the crazed wolf every now and then and chosses to ignore him though His hand can be seen on the hilt of his scimitar fingering the blade, his eyes in though as if toying with some idea everytime he hears an echo.

  • Sadly, when Uraj attempted to speak to Scyth at times when the powerful man entered, his voice was cut short by that very damnable Silence spell. So instead, as Scyth opened the door after a few dozen times Uraj had attempted… the elf who still remained so chipper shifted from his song to conversation instead.

"Scyth, can I be hung from the ceiling in Arnath instead? Like how it used to be. Perhaps from that tree of Amerien's so that I may receive a sort of beating from folks yet still remain there to welcome folks," Uraj winked to the man.

  • Scyth checks in on the prisoner at random intervals, recasting the sphere of silence as needed. Mentioning to the gaurds that should the noise become unbearbable they may gag the man.

  • So the daily, or perhaps half a day ritual of silence and vocals seemed to amuse Uraj greatly. When he was awake, he continued through both silence and grinned during the times he heard his voice ring like the Banana Gnome-Phone across the wet tunnel walls. The guards perhaps enjoyed the bit of life that came when the Silence spell faded, but their training and resolve prevented their expressions from showing that least bit of pleasure. Arizima had trained them better than before.

    Oh well, Uraj continued on…

    <silence fades="">"–- DONG DING DONANA GNOME-PHONE!"

It would only be time when either he would die, or someone would silence him definitely. No, not even ripping out his tongue would stop his little diddy.</silence>

  • Scyth hears rumor of odd sounds coming from the tunnel. Finding for himself that it is Uraj's chanting he calmly casts a silence spell on the area and goes back to work, with a word to the gaurds to alert Dahlia should the silence globe fall so that she can place another.

  • Sighing to himself as his fingers and limbs were chained to the uneven wall of the unfinished tunnel, Uraj reminded himself that the path of darkness is all that brought this situation upon himself. When crying out to the Revenancer or the Vaunted was a failure in a realm empowered by Shar and Bane, Uraj resorted to the single most pleasing phrase that was sacred to him…

    "Ring-Ring Ring-Ring Ring-Ring Ring, BANANA GNOME-PHONE!…

… and into the days and nights, Uraj sang his damned soul out. Tormenting himself and those around him with the very mantra that could destroy even the greatest of demons.

  • _Scyth looks up from his work as a messenger arrives bearing word that Uraj has been broughten in. Calmly setting asside his work he adjusts his cloak and heads for the tunnels where Uraj is being kept.

As he approachs the guards salute._
    "Open the gates"
_The guards swing them aside. As he gets closer, he pauses for a moment as he sees the masses of zombies appearing to be milling around and not doing as he recieved word that they should be doing: holding Uraj to the wall.

He pauses, taking a careful look at the condition of the zombies. He looks from the ones following orders to those milling. Noting the differences of apperance and behavior._
    "Crafty"

_Raising a hand to his amulet, that lies always under his armor, he extends his other hand towards the zombies and resumes his walk. Energy gathers around his hand, pulsing in dark lines.

A few feet from the entrance he begins a quiet murmor of a prayer. The energy crackling louder and more violently. He pauses in his prayer, looks at the zombies once more, and lets the energy roll outwards from his out-streched hand.

Wave upon wave of afflicted zombie fall, each pierced by a strand of the dark energy. As the energy reaches them it consumes them, leaving little more than dust where they used to stand.

    Turning to the gaurds_

"Shackle his arms to the walls, each finger is to be shackled as well, no words are to pass his lips and no piece of his body is to leave that wall."

Without a further word he turns and leaves, dark energy fading from him as he walks.

  • He was there to be imprisoned, pushed against the tunnel wall by a thick pack of mindless zombies under the control of Raila, the proclaimed Queen of the Undead. With both Raila and Shai against him just shortly after his negotiations with the druids on the surface, Uraj felt quite a bit more intimidated than fearful of his situation. If this room was filled with something besides zombies, then of course there would be worry, but considering that there were zombies there he was more at home.

On and on, his mind recounted the betrayal of Arar, although were it really betrayal Uraj would have had some significant relationship with the Lord of the Underground. No, Uraj had no relationship with the man and thus it was more of an unforseen consequence. This was Arar after all, to be in his position would have required a very many sacrifices to maintain order. Uraj pushed some of the zombies aside and made his way to the center, using his lithe form to maneuver through their mindless groaning selves. Then it occurred to him that he still had this weapons, but even after drawing out the daggers from the ground from when he cut himself loose, the weapons seemed a little to futile against this wall.

Rummaging through his pack, Uraj pulled out a manuscript which he could barely bring up to his sight. The script detailed some tips and tricks to dealing with undead generally, between the incoporeal to the shambling idiocies that were the zombies. Wraiths, skeletons, zombies, wights, just the average folk of undeath and it mentioned nothing more. Tracing a finger down to the short few bullets about zombies, Uraj realized that in this thick infestation behind the closed vault door he could not make any clear action against these zombies.

Ah, but there was one thing he remembered he still had. Reaching back down into his pack, currently tucked between his legs, Uraj drew out a bloated segment of flesh that undulated on its own. Plopping it in his hand a few times, he wore a smirk as he held the necrotic cyst in one hand and held his hand to the nearest zombie. A flash of negative energy sparked from cyst to destined zombie, tranferring the necrotic influence upon the shambling undead. Yes, Uraj had experimented on the Necrotic Cyst spell for a time and had used it on that fellow, Ramas Sepret who he had found wandering outside of Arnath dazed. Now, with one zombie infected, it would be only a matter of a day or two before all the zombies were infected with this cystic plague. And soon a swarm of Skulking Cysts would follow. The Skulking Cyst would evolve into its small grotesque shape, digesting its victim, but it would help Uraj to deal with what was around much better since zombies were just a pain in the ass to walk around.
