Brumir Addresses the Gathering of Dwarves Outside Fish Fort

  • Brumir Silverhammer of the Council of Moradin approaches the group of dwarves who have been gathering near Fish Fort. He gives Gemli Steeltoe a firm nod, then addresses his fellow kinsmen.

"Kin - ah come forward ta ye wit an ultimatum! Tha scum intruders in tha so called 'Fish Fort' will immediately vacate tha tower an' never return, as they were never welcome near Ihar Burakin in tha first place! Our kin built this tower wit thar own blood, sweat, an' coin under the direction o one o tha greatest kin ta ever serve Aura Runedar - Beorn Battlemail! Wut would Moradin think o us allowin' fish an' gob scum so close ta -OUR- tower!? It be an insult!"

"Nut only did these scum invade near our territory, but tha so called 'leaders' o Norwick gave 'em support an' made a treaty wit 'em! Ye know, tha so-called 'leaders' that turned a blind eye while greys were invadin' Aura Runedar, killin' many o our kin! It be as if they intentionally tried ta insult us! Iffn' Norwick had any sense o honor, they would immediately abrogate thar horse shite treaty wit tha fish farks an' force 'em outta that tower fer us!"

He then points his hammer towards Fish Fort.

    "Time fer 'em ta go!"

  • @kayleb In response to Marty asking the Defenders:

Private Grimvug, of the Defenders, states that he's found what seems like possible merchant wares, crates, barrels and such have been tossed down into the watery pit. He has seen broken crates scattered around the edges, and some debris floating down below. Perhaps it's a convenient area to "clean up" any evidence, but also... he may have a suspicion that any intact crates that can sink to the bottom for certain creatures who may be able to breathe underwater.

Grimvug also tells Marty that he's discovered some bones in the woods close to the "Fort." They are human, and fairly new.

"Fella's probably been dead for about a month or so. Not much left to identify 'im. Scavangers 'n animals took just about everything but the bones," he grunts. "I haven't heard reports of any missing persons, but maybe askin' around couldn't hurt."

  • Following his speech to his kinsmen, Brumir has a brief conversation with Gemli. He then makes his way down towards the remains of Aura Runedar.

  • Legion

Grobble, the goblin defector and resident of Norwick, has been watching the drama around Fish Fort unfold from a distance. He is a sworn ally to the Dwarven community and would not break his oath by failing to defend them against any foe, but he has also been encouraged by the building of the Fish Fort. For him, the Fish Fort was a sign that maybe he could live in "human" lands without the constant fear of a violent death hanging over him. Lacking the moral fortitude to form a clear stand, Grobble has been keeping his distance, hoping to find an opportunity to display his loyalty and consolidate his own safety.

  • Legion

Private Martoushca Leaffall from the Legion of Troff has been investigating the Fish Fort matter, asking traders from both Norwick, Hinhold and Peltarch, as well Peltarch Defender patrols, if they had encountered any of the "bandit-like behaviour" that was currently justifying the campaign to destroy the Fort.
