New Whispers at the Fire
-
A man not seen for ages staggers into the inn, armor rent and covered in blood. He rushes to the bar and orders the strongest thing they have and gulps it down. Beneath the blood his face is white and hands shake uncontrollably. Ordering half dozen more bottles he lunges out of the inn and crouches by the fire, drinking one after the other. Hours later a the commander of the Legion wanders by and looks over the decrepid figure. Muttered words are exchanged and a story forms about a huge beast in the goblin wood eating man and goblin alike. Bigger than an ox and with teeth like knives its very presence seemed to exude fear.
After talking awhile Theon rises and heads south, reluctant Kalem behind him. It is dawn the next day when the two return, both dirty and somewhat bruised. Tied to the pack of the man is a huge hide, thicker and heavier than any beast seen in the area. Theon turns and heads toward the Silver Valley while Kalem heads north with his prize.

On a merrier note, Norwick's traditional Fight Night was held once more, to the merriment of all and bruising of some. Word has it some long-legger took down two stout dwarves, surely incentive for one hell of a rematch in future!

"Goblins!"
_Once so common as to hardly merit a place in town gossip, goblin attacks have declined dramatically since the successful assault on the Moldy Rat Tribe base - until now.
It started with explosions, granades peppering the gates before the main bulk of goblins arrived, this time supported by wolves. It is said a wolf-wrangler of sorts, perhaps a minor chieftain, was taken down before the attack ground to a halt, sadly not before the life of a young adventurer had been claimed.
A problem nipped in the bud, or the start of something worse? Only time will tell._

A white-haired dwarf and a red-haired human were overheard talking near the South Gate fire. They warned Legion General Theaon that they had seen the notorious necromancer Kyan killing animals in the field south of South Gate. "I saw him kill a white stag!" the red-haired woman said. "That could bring loads of bad luck!"
Though what could be worse than having a necromancer so close to town?

Eilonna is still seen delivering food to the houses but recently she has been seen entering the homes and talking to families privately, she continues soon after and moves onto the next house doing the same thing over and over again. Her motives stay to herself.

_Wave upon wave of goblins, undead of bone, of rotting flesh and putrid hide from a multitude of species, a shambling, shrieking, moaning army intent on slaughter poured forth from the darkest of night.
Norwick was under attack, the Silver Valley suffering the same and the gathered party rushed from gate to gate, attempting to stave off the worst and buy the defenders some breathing room before they moved on to their main target, the cold, unbeating heart of the problem behind the solid barriers of eerie red.
Less shiny heroes were seldom seen, the party already covered in blood, gore and clumps of splattered poo golem as they approached the ruins, runed items in hand. One by one, they entered the narrow tunnels to the lair of whatever beast poured such hatred at the living…
Time passed, the defenders of Norwick and the Valley holding the lines while the goblins and their undead kept coming, their numbers seemingly endless. Until suddenly - a great shout of rage, the earth shuddering. Violent combat from within the cave, shrieking goblin voices and something very large, very angry, thrashing and roaring.
The fighting seemed to last a very long time, but when it ended, it seemed it all ended. By the time the battered party reemerged, the goblin hoard was gone, scattered or destroyed, the undead with them.
Ragged cheers greeted the party, words of thanks, kegs of ale and gifts of potions from Norwick and the Silver Valley. As the survivors enjoyed the free drinks and a spot of well-earned rest at the gates, several could be overheard speaking about a large and fearsome bone dragon, strong and incredibly resilient to harm.
Pieces of the dragon bones seem to have been brought back with the party, transformed by the gods of nature into boons tailor-made for each person, after its destruction.
As the ale flowed, the 'boner' jokes were soon in full swing, especially after Salin brandished his impressive bone staff..._

// Posting this as I cant be there, but its what she would do ICly
Eilonna looks over those gathered still leaning heavily on a Cherrywood walking stick as she glances over those gathered and for the brief quiet moment of the group she speaks loudly enough to be heard.
On behalf of Norwick, I wish to thank everyone that has come together to stop these beasts. I wish deeply I could be joining you all out there but sadly I cannot, so instead I will grant you what knowledge I do have from my scouting the day of the deceptive attack.
Inside the cavern I noted a door glowing with an evil red aura, this may be a major key, I could overhear many many goblins and undead within the caves. Possibly in the hundreds. I have no doubt there will be traps as this seems to be a common thing. It is my belief that Necromantic spells alone will not get you through the barrier as it did not seem to work for me while being tested but instead requires one of the items baring the runes. These caverns haven't been fully explored but I remind you that these caverns were collapsed before and may be prone to doing so again. Please be careful in there.
That said I thank you all again and look forward to hearing back from you all and seeing everyone back here alive and safe.
She steps back leaning on the staff as she watches them finish planning and prepare to go deeply wishing she could be with them for this.

_Night falls over Narfell and a thick mist rolls through the Rawlins. Norwick redcloaks light extra torches as they patrol the walls of the small town and the hard working townsfolk enjoy an ale together at the Grapevine after a hard days work.
A creeping Norwick scout keeps his eyes focused intently on the glowing red cave entrance of the Moldy Rat tribe as he moves quietly through the woods. He stops frozen in his tracks when a echoing chant picks up from the caves, growing louder and louder. Hordes of goblins armed with wickedly sharp weapons made of rusted iron and decorated from head to toe in the gory remains of corpses pour from the cave. They chant, laugh, scream, and squeal as they swarm over the old ruins. Countless rotting zombies of crudely stitched humanoids and animals shamble alongside the army of goblins, their grunting, moaning, and roaring a chant of their own.
The wide eyed scout turns to report the coming hell when a group of sneaking Moldy Rat goblins meet him with rusty daggers in their grubby little hands. Their bloodshot eyes look at the scout with a burning hatred and a devious smile stretches across their dirty faces showing their sharpened yellow teeth. They howl with glee as they leap upon him and overwhelm him, sinking their blades into the man over and over again as they bite and tear at his flesh, his screams of agony filling the air and fueling the growing army onwards toward Norwick._
//Will pick up from here with event 9/28 - 9am EST

As the days grow colder and Eilonna grows stronger she makes more and more rounds through the town delivering food to the farmers and townsfolk and hot meals to the guards and troops as well as Voss. If asked who to thank she tells them that it has become a joint effort between her, Elessar and the Forsworn Commander Gnarl.
-
Eilonna is seen hobbling about town once again handing out food to the farmers and townsfolk of Norwick, as well as delivering hot meals to all guards on duty and even those in reserve. Even going so far as to deliver hot meals to Voss and any of the reserve troops. She does this daily with each mealtime ensuring everyone has food regardless of her own physical condition she can be seen delivering to ensure everyone is fed.
// Will see DM Clownbaby to hand over food being delivered.

Word spreads through Norwick of the Moldy Rat Tribe attacking again but this time setting up a decoy, the town was saved when Eilonna appeared at the south gate crying out that the incoming attack was a decoy and that they needed to rush to the East Docks. Raryldor, Eilonna and Nica were the first to arrive seeing icy goblins, rats and more crawling out from the frozen waters. The fight was going well until a Golem grabbed Eilonna and the sound of bones shattering under its grip was heard across the farm. The beast was soon slain and Eilonna was rushed from the field by Elessar.

_The Moldy Rat tribe continues their assault on the town showing no sign of slowing down. Wildlife around Norwick grows more sparse everyday and has worried many families about their future in Norwick. However, a huge amount of fresh meat was delivered to Norwick's guards from an anonymous hunter living outside the gates. The meat was inspected by several Raumviri chief's before being handed out to the needy families, but not before a healthy portion was taken into the Great Hall.
A rumor of a horrible evil stirring in the caverns behind the barrier creep through the town and many goblins of the Moldy Rat tribe are often seen running from the caves direction as they shriek for their lives.
The trees around the old ruins continue to fall under the crude axes of the goblin tribe, evidence that their attacks will continue until they are finally dealt with._

More attacks by the Moldy Rat Tribe, still hiding smugly behind their magical walls to avoid repercussions for their many, increasingly disgusting experiments. The latest invention is reportedly a golem made of goblin feces…
((I can't believe I missed the poo golem! shakes fist and chuckles))

Eilonna, Elessar and Victoria arrive at the cavern late that evening as they whisper amoung themselves before Elessar casts a Dispel and Spell breach. They stay on guard awaiting the results of the casting
// Awaiting the DM to be available to continue, Elessar also rolled a spellcraft of 35 prior to the castings.

Legion Coporal Legan Axckleln is seen looking over the gates of Norwick, whenever he's not taking the fight to the enemy. Meanwhile, Salin Ashald is seen examining the odd negative energy barrier that blocks the entrance to the cave where the goblins hide. On a different front, lone wildsman Brane Lannen works with the hunters, trying to prevent excessive draining of natural resources while looking for safe environments in which the wildlife can grow.
-
Fresh meats turn up randomly at the homes of the people in need as well as small sums of gold. Delivery times are never at one specific times and no one sees who is coming and dropping the food off. Some whispers spread that the Ranger in green is still watching over the people.
EDIT: OOC note, will trash food when DM Clownbaby is around to view it.

The Moldy Rat tribe has grown bolder as their numbers continue to swell in the corpse filled ruins of Old Norwick. They attack Norwick's South gate regularly with a seemingly endless supply of corpses and slaughtered animals while droves of goblins hack down trees by the dozen to construct primitive catapults to continue sieging the town. The wildlife around Norwick has grown notably scarce, the price of fresh meat at the markets have risen considerably, and many hunters are having a difficult time bringing home meals and income for their families

Uljas grumbles hearing the rumors
"Can no trust hexers."

_The grim and ghastly warrior who's face is painted returns to Norwick with yet more tales of gargantuan heroism and over-the-top gore and violence, he tells those who care to hear of the gathering hordes of Goblins and their undead allies. Of on the first day he and but a handful of fearless slayers repelled a massive assault against the town, and laughs as he gives an account of the 'not-so-fearless' horseman who was dismounted and quit the field, to run home to Peltarch to feed his fat children more sweet-bread no doubt. He tells with much drama and detail of the Goblin's head he collected, of how he paralyzed the Goblin army with fear by yelling out his name aloud, thus bellowing as part of the story "CORMAC! CORMAC! CORMAC RANDOLPH!" and swore he'd wear the creature's skull as his new codpiece.
As he tells of the battles that came after he thumps his fist gently at first upon his thigh, and tells how he battled a great and evil storm with his own mighty sound, of the vast army that marched along with him into the deep forest where the lightning struck down in fierce and deadly anger! The pounding fist on his thigh moves onto the shield he carries, pounding like a kettle-drum in rhythm, quick and noisy like the rolling of thunder - punctuated at times with a loud BANG! as he tells of their journey through hostile lands, with many of his allies being struck down by stray bolts of lightning. Of how he reached out boldly and gripped one of these bolts of lightning which had killed those in his group who were weak of heart, or unworthy of the power of the lightning, and held it in his very hands! Except - that it had been stolen from him, by an Elven witch who had been found unworthy of it's power at least three times during their mighty and hard quest._

Soldiers of the Troff Legion have been seen more often south of Norwick helping to combat the undead goblins.
