Earthquake!
-
_Several small tremors have hit Narfell, Norwick all the way to Peltarch have felt the shaking from the quakes. Although no major damage was reported, several engineers are getting some extra coins the past few days to make sure houses and businesses are structurally sound.
Rumors begin that the dwarves have delved too deep and everyone will soon collapse into the ground and grow a beard, some say the quake was caused by Leanna, that scatter brained daughter of Mystra, others say the ancient Narfell Empire is arising from the earth and soon demons will flood the land and enslave everyone while the whips of their demonbinder overlords muahahaha behind them..
Others say it was just an earthquake.. but who knows?_

((Never mind, will keep it this weekend.. I'll somehow manage to get it in, forgot I had a build ready to put in that goes with this festival. -.- This Saturday 2pm EDT instead, I do need to postpone it a few hours though

A more sinister rumour mixes with the music and festivities, speaking of hauntings in the woods at night, spectres and allips rising with hateful wailings to attack all that which lives. But perhaps this is nothing but a gypsy ghost story?

_Another quake shakes the land late one night, people are jolted from their sleeps and there is little damage throughout the land, only a few startled citizens of the towns.
The next day an odd sight is seen along the Nars Pass by the bridge, several men and women armed with bows have taken down all the gnolls in the area surrounding the bridge and the faint sound of music drifts from the old Gypsy Camp.
The archers along the Pass stop no one from entering the Camp and most give small smiles to those passing by. Inside the Camp itself the music is louder, roasting pigs turn over several fires, a few young children in Romani clothing dance and play games throughout the Camp and the older men and women tend to the cooking and serving of drinks to any who enter.
Those who remember the days of old are reminded of how the Camp used to be, if to a lesser degree with so few Romani present and although the Romani look like they are packed and ready to leave, at least for one night the heart-fires will burn brightly and music, dance and song will fill the Camp again._
((I plan on running one, repeat one Romani festival. It's a sendoff, all are welcome to come. I'll shoot for this coming Saturday, June 14th at noon EST

As more quakes hit the land rumors begin to go around that the Romani have returned to the Camp, some say they are Hoarrans and their evil magics are causing the quakes.. whoever they are, there is someone now staying in the Camp for the first time in years.

The dwarves seem to be unphased by the tremors, at least as far as their lands are concerned. One older dwarf comments in between beer and cheese one evening…
"That quake wasn't centered around here, and we had no damage below. "
shrug
''Nearest major faults are to the east... Might be worth checking in with our long lost kin in the Eastern mountains... Fark, its been years and I could use one of their ales! If the quakes were strong in the mountains, tis likely more damage was done. If we're lucky, a mountain fell on top of a whole family o Ice Giants!"
"Pass me the ale pitcher?"

Lone wildsman Brane Lannen has taken notice of these quakes, and discreetely keeps an eye out for any unnatural disturbances.

A few more small tremors shake the land. Although some seem worried about the quakes, life goes on as normal for most. Sometimes mother nature needs to grumble a bit too, right?
