Rumors heard throughout Oscura.

  • _Oscuran Guard, Illath Deathsand, has been reported missing.

His personal belongings are reported to be gone, and he was reported missing whilst off-duty. He is normally a guard around the Temple in the city._

  • Sipping wine at her usual spot in front of the fire Mystic over hears some talking… "how peculiar" she mutters to herself

  • _Rumours spread of another missing person in Oscura, Aldo Westgate, renowned mercenary.

He was last seen in his room at the Coppers, currently not on a contract, and after not paying his bill for a few days, Black Lotus guards found his room empty and a lot of his belongings left behind… yet no one saw him leave._

  • The rumor of the mysterious disappearance of the Shar prieast reaches the docks. While Mystic is delightfully busy measuring up the ship’s crew for uniforms, she overhears them talking. A bit annoyed over having to quit doing what she’s doing she tells the sailors she has to finish this up later. She leaps off the ship and heads up to the temple to see if she can find out what this rumor is all about.

  • _Lesser priest of Shar, Noam Jherral, has been reported missing.

The Church is believed to be on high alert, and rumour has it that he has disappeared without a trace._

  • Rumours in the West District may mention Treasurer Marcus Debilile receiving a visit from a group of surfacers, including two of Peltarch's Cerulean Knights. Whatever their errand, the group seems to have made no trouble, yet wore extremely troubled expressions upon leaving.

  • Ach well, it's your Crayve.

John heads on over to The Zombie Queen for extra sacrifices to the Bitch Queen, as if their heresy is contagious.

  • The not so well known warrioress Abby has been seen about the ship and chuckles a bit a John says that.

"I''ll place my faith in what gets me to a good fight faster. Akadi seems to have that down pat!"

With that she goes on about her observing.

  • _The owners of the Leviathan appear to be serious about their faith in Akadi. On the high-deck at the back of the ship, a large incense brazier is installed.

The sweet aroma of burning incense being carried to Akadi on the winds, is a necessary action so that she will recognize this ship. Appeals to Akadi can affect or change the winds, such as producing a strong current of air.

There is no doubt that this ship is built primarily for speed on the open water._

  • John narrows his eye at the figurehead.

"Ye sure ye want t' ride Umberlee's realm on some other bitch? She might get jealous ye ken.."

  • _Work on the Leviathan continues. Although many workers prefer to call her by her synonym, a.k.a. the "sea monster".

A magical statue in the likeness of Akadi, now adorns the prow of the ship. This figurehead is a beautiful, buxom and bare breasted woman, who is enveloped in a whirlwind.

Some pirates believe that a woman's exposed breasts can shame a stormy sea into a state of calm._

  • The boy rushes through the docks taking the next ship to Pelt where he was seen barging into the Mermaid with a large envoleope under his arm.

”Miss I was told to deliver this to you”

As usual Mystic is sitting in the bar with a glass of red wine casually chatting with Kat.

“Very well boy” she returns with a smile “Let me see what you have” She takes the envelope from the boy and drops him a few coins.

She opens the envelope and turns it upside down, swatches in various shades of red forms a huge pile on the bartop

“Ahh… these must be the samples for the sails”

She carefully studies each of the canvas cloth, the density and color.

”Hmm… I think this one will do I together with this one, a blend of the two shades promise fire at dawn and blood at dusk.”

A content sigh slips out as she places the two chosen swatches back in the envelope, together with a note explaining her choice and instructions:

    1. Cut the canvas into 1 1/2 inch strips
    2. Sew them together vertically to create the shape of the sail.
    3. Add ropes onto each side in order to stop the fraying
    4. Have places to attach the rigging

How much of the canvas we need depend on how many Square or Lateen sails we need, I do not remember.
    Mystic

She calls on another boy, hands him 20 coins for the delivery to Cray no later then the next day.

  • _Cray was in the docks recently, he was seen buying a navigators compass and a bowl of summoning water elementals.

After a stopping for a drink, Cray made his way to pier 7, and met with a Black Sails engineer. The pair toured the Leviathan, as repairs continue. Cray appears to be supervising the refurbishment.

Cray also instructed the engineer to paint the new name on the back of the ship right away, there was no need to wait, as the damage is mostly at the front end. The engineer gave Cray a bunch of various shades of red swatches, to select the colour of the new sails. Cray immediately pays a delivery boy generously to deliver the swatches to Mystic, so that she may approve the colour._

  • _An eruption of panicked yelling and sudden commotion, arise at the river entrance to the docks of Oscura. A damaged and sinking ship, being propelled forward by multiple air elementals, is hurtling out of control towards the piers. The ship bears no markings, names, or flags. A stone skinned pilot is visible up on the high-deck, he is behind the wheel of the ship, and seems to be attempting to command the motley crew working down on the main-deck. The ships pilot screams ahead to warn people on the docks, of the impending crash. The ship smashes into the dock, it's occupants leap from the decks just before impact. After the dust settles, people all around are picking themselves up or climbing out of the water. It appears no other ships were hit and the dock seems undamaged. Dock workers tie up the ship tightly to keep her from sinking completely. It isn't long before a few notable Oscurans, various dock workers, guards, and plenty of other on-lookers; are gathered around the crash site. Nothing attracts more attention than a big bang.

The damaged ship is then stabilized and towed into birth #7. A Black Sail's naval engineer surveyed the damage and seemed to be drafting up plans for refurbishment.

By the next day, a few workers can be seen beginning the repairs to the ship. From the looks of things its gonna take a couple months. People in the docks are referring to the ship as the Leviathan.

As the days pass, rumours abound about the Leviathan. It's said she is a pirated ship, the old crew missing, presumed killed. It is also said that bright crimson sails have been ordered to replace the old damaged ones, as well as an overly buxom bow lady being commissioned for the new front end._

  • Legion

((Blade was left there. Unless server was reset it should be available for pick up or already picked up))

  • _Cirden wrinkles nose with disgust as he passes by and mutters something about bad taste and sacrilege.

He tries to ward off stinking spirits with his druidic shamanism but goes away hastily instead, waving hand near his nose._

  • @c7e514ca1c=MexicanCookie:

An EXTREMELY smelly sword of goblin enchantment is left at the door to Oscura's temple. There's no sign of who left it.

One of the temple's faithful spots the sword and immediately covers his nose. After a (f)ew moments of pondering whether he should toss it in the Well of Souls, he simply decides to stuff it in a bag, hoping to find some use to it…

((Not sure if the blade is still there or not, but if it is, I want eeet!!))

  • Rumours say that Mystic is seen in the library again, this time researching and reading books on Night Hags, some sort of duplication spell, and the various uses of rat poison

  • _::Word goes out about the Senator of Peltarch María entering the Grand Arena contest of The Brawling Bodak with the ashen-haired soldier Shallyah Rethshinei.

Sorcery and steel raged for hours in the Brawling Bodak as all kinds of monsters and vile criminals joined the Arena in a fight to the death against the female duo. Amongst other things there were bandits, Runeskin Minotaurs, mummy lords, bodaks, undead death knights, colossal trolls, elite assassins, and even a gargantual spider that was terminated rather disappointingly quick.

Even though the two Peltarchian women were repeatedly offered to withdraw, or at least take some rest in between rounds to restore their spells and loosen some tension from their muscles, they kept going on without a break until all ten rounds were left behind them, and the sponsors had no choice but let the duo leave alive and sound with a king's hoard in their purses::_
