Whisper Winds

Character Name: Whisper Winds
Login: DondiahTime seemed to slow down as they fell, yet in an instant they were gone. In the black of the winter night all she could hear was her heartbeat as it thundered in her silvery pointed ears.
"Ada!", she cried, "Naneth!"
Deep snow muffled her panicked cries as the silvery white crystals whipped into a cyclone from the very gust that had knocked them over the edge of the shaky bridge. The girl held onto the broken rope desperately for her own life, legs swinging wildly to find purchase. With wide golden eyes she watched them helplessly; the screams echoing off the sides of the black abyss from which they would never return.
"Bring them back!" ,she screamed into the howling storm as tears streamed down her face, "Bring them baaaack!"

Finding shelter in a cave the young elfling watched the storm raging, a small fire warming the dry earthen sanctuary. Red lips quivered as her teeth chattered, only her pale silvery face visible in the thick furs and skins of the animals that had died in the cold. Shaundakul had blown this way and for what? To end the lives of the most important people of her life? For the first time in her life, she bitterly hated the deity that had been a part of her life and the lives of her now passed parents.
The warmth of the blankets and the fire lulled her to sleep, curses to the wind-god on her tongue.
A sharp cold breeze startled her out of her week long slumber. Thick black lashes dusted with flurries opened just enough to let a sliver of gold shine through to peek at the white world outside. Throwing off the furs and donning a cloak, she hastily shoved her feet into leather snow shoes and was met with the utmost powerful beauty she had ever seen.
The mountains at The Spine of the World were clad in shining Ice and snow, the caves she was in a part of were a small crevice in a palace of ice. A silvery moon glistened off the peaks of snow in the distance catching the light and illuminating ice towers, pillars of snow that were tall pines and halls of glowing white. Black sky above was clean and clear, silvery white specks of light dancing in the night like a million floating beacons.
Everything was still, muted and glorious.
In this cold, in the frozen night, a breeze, warm and comforting glided along her body. It was nowhere else in the area, just around her, wrapping her in comfort. A familiar, peaceful feeling filled her heart.
"Ada? Naneth?" she whispered into the cold night as the warm air swirled around her; tousling her long black hair.
Hot tears prickled her golden eyes and she closed them in the warmth. Their spirits here with her and they danced with Shaundakul now. They were at peace; now so was she.
"I will continue our journey…wherever the winds may blow."
