Question about Enchanting XP loss

This one is rather easy, I guess. But I need to be sure about it.
If a lvl 8 caster enchant a 8 point item how much XP this will cost?
Around 2500?Thanks

I believe that's because 1st edition XP ramps up exponentially, where 3rd edition XP is more linear.
At one stage (can't remember what year or month, but Mori was head dev) we went to 3rd edition XP. That lasted about 2 weeks, before the decision was made to go back to 1st edition. Not sure what brought about either end of that change, but there you go.

Narfell runs off of 1E XP, really…
All xp tokens are granted in 1E xp. (50, 100, 250, 500, 1000. all 1E)
All xp costs are in 1E xp.
All monsters are calculated in 1E xp.

Isnt there a conversion or something? From 1e xp to Narfell, or I got that wrong?
