Whispers at the Fire
-
Fafir Ganeer is a constant and dazziling presence in Norwick these days. He spends his days walkng up and down making small talk with townfolks. He offers to help them with small matters, fixing fences, doors, and anything else an engineer can do for the people around town.
He takes sometime trying to learn the names of a few of the Raumviri, not key people, but some folks not related to the curent militia.
((OOC: not sure this is the place to post it, but I could not think of any better one. What he is trying to find out is:
1 - Aproximate number of Raumviri;
2 - If there are factions among the Raumviri and their leaders (if any);
3 - Aproximate number of non Raumviri;For his interactions with the townsfolks, he will be always walking around with an emp eagles on himself))

Upon hearing rumour of this apparition's reappearance, Val heads to Norwick to seek it out.
// Will try to catch you IG
-
Somebody -might- have seen an apparition of 5 years past in gold armor with a dark red cloak walk through town, and right back out again, looking haggard, unshaven, and a bit pale and thin. Was it an apparition?
-
Word gets around that at his speech Davos reminded the populace that the treaty with Ostromog would expire within two tendays and he stated that he and D'Cameron would continue to share governing duties. Davos thanked the Raumviri for their years of service and promoted the Raumviri chief, Vosnyia "Voss", to commander of the Norwick militia. All militia personnel are to report to Voss within a tenday or be prepared to turn in their cloak.
Of the Q&A session afterwards, no two summaries agree except in noting a good deal of furor.
There was also roast hog.

@fc7101693c=Clan:
((Was the recap of the Davos speech posted someplace? I thought it was going to be simulcast on the forums…))
…Bump?

Having missed the big announcement, Hess the Woodsman asks around to see what the big reveal was from the Great Hall.

_Rumour of the goblin-slaying kobold continue, some even saying the small scaly creature slew a bugbear - though proof of this seems nonexistant. Far more readily apparant though, are the piles of brutally killed and scalped goblins, resting in hideous droves by the walls near the gates of Norwick. And speaking of gates, a retaliation attack by goblins soon saw those gates blown to bits, virtue of a fizzling keg delivered by two grenadiers.
Norwick in turn, answered by assembling a group of their own to strike deep into the goblin territory, the warriors returning hours later with much cheer and bravado, sharing a feast with those that remained to guard against counter-attacks._
-
Rumours abound of a Kobold witnessed stalking the woods, killing goblins by the dozen.
-
_By now, no one could have missed the news - Fendon is defeated, destroyed, and is no more! Whilst popular opinion may name Allestor Hollins - newly appointed knight of the Order and priest of Ilmater - as the Slayer of Fendon, more seasoned campaigners might attribute success in the less glamorous terms of group effort. Others yet mention lady Daisy Millern's self sacrifice as a vital key to victory.
Rumours also speak of a bugbear agent arriving at the gates, shortly after the return of the parties involved in Fendon's downfall. Clearly, Ostromog is watching…_

Rumours say three warriors two of Torm and one Lathanderite fought undead within the gates of Norwick. They also had to knock down guards glamoured by a very pale female vampire with the name Liddy. People of the town of Norwick should be cautious walking outside after dark, and beware this vampire escaped and can still be hiding somewhere within the gates.
-
Elva seems quite distressed by this
-
*Word has it that the Lathander priest, Janick was under the influence of something evil and during that time he had a small conversation with Maria. What they spoke about is yet unknown for Maria left the temple running, never to be seen ever again.
The most skilled trackers have failed to follow her tracks for there are none, some priests have tried to scry but the something even more powerfull blocks the scrying powers.
There are two adventurers who last seen Maria in the temple for they were in the temple when she left running, however very little they can say about what they´ve "seen" becouse they´ve lost eye sight once they steped into the temple, only to recover vision few hours later.
One thing is for sure though…. MAria is missing and her location unknown....*

Undead attack once more, a series of seemingly probing assaults thoughout the day and well into the night, to both the south and the north gate. The dawn's pale light illuminates a field littered with zombie corpses, and the simply massive carcass of a larger than normal patchwork giant, but a stone's throw from the gates - a chilling reminder of the terrors that await.
-
seriously wounded merchants arrive at Norwick. The guards rush to the North Gate to aid the wounded men and woman and ear what happend. According to the merchants, their trading caravan was attacked in the cross roads area by bandits that were hiden in the nearby woods.
Some adventurers risk a patrol to check what happend.

A panicky Elva chases down Ashena and pulls her aside
-
A scorched and bloodied party comes rushing through town, following a sleek black panther, also in ragged condition. They come to an abrupt halt by the south gates, where the noted arcanist Maria lies, pale, near unconscious.. and far, far more noticably pregnant than but a few days past. Maria is then seen being carried off to the temple of Lathander, but not leaving it. Ashena can often be spotted going to and from the temple in the coming days, a look of concern on her face.
-
More often that not, a certain Elf can be spotted only by very keen eyes keeping close look on Andrew's training. He never talks to him or approaches him while he's training, but whenever he goes back into town for a rest, he's probably the first one joining him for some laughs.
-
Andrew Brightdawn can be seen training every day even harder and longer than usual,lately.
Sparring and hitting dummies he have put on purpose on the ground near Norwick's south gate and outside Peltarch's walls.
His moves are more and more refined and swift, performed increasingly with efficiency and prowess, despite the heavy full plate he always wears, even during training.To those who ask him the motif of such hard training, he answers with vague phrases, such as getting ready for the incoming threats and battles,
but the slight smile and taunting attitude he displays makes clear there is something else behind his behaviour…

Two dwarves and a hin, all bloodied and badly wounded, were seen running towards South Gate late last night. Once inside, they slammed the gates shut and leaned down, breathing heavily. "Duergar by the Goblin Lake!" they were heard to say. "Four of em'. A wiggler, a priestess, an assassin, and one o' them damn arbelasters. We killed em' all, but barely. The last one chased us all the way to the Norwick ruins."
"They was helping the goblins fight" the hin said. "They was casting divine spells on em and makin em hit us harder." The hin was seen entering the Grapevine Inn, while the two dwarves made their way to the Hold to report to the Council. "We gotta' get an army and stop this threat now!" one said.

Two exhausted squires Celia and Ky'Amendos enters the south gate, and as they continue up the hill to take a rest at the Inn they let the guards know graverobbers has been sighted in the old graveyard. Some of them, not sure if all of them, got caught and forced to face justice.
