Tavern Rumors of Peltarch

*Nelor has been seen training with and buying drinks for various guard groups around Peltarch. He seems most interested in imroving his defensive skill. He is often heard to say" If I am going to be a Shield, I better be the best one I can be" *

_Many Silver Valley refugees, as well as a few Peltarchian guards and citizens, were killed in a recent attack on the docks.
Apparently a man demanded a group of Silver Valley refugees convert to Bane. When the stalwart smallfolk refused, a small boatload of assailants wielding Zhent blades attacked, butchering whoever they could see.
The attackers were eventually slain by guards and adventurers working together._

Ardent finds a disturbing find in the hills outside Peltarch. Corpses in the hill giant and manticore lands of all the Peltarch defenders and a brown clad man near the barricade. Ardent carries the corpses of all to the Temple of the Triad for any who wish to examine them further. It could just as easily be the actions of the local fauna as it could be the actions of some unidentified enemy.

Ardent is seen around the Docks asking about Harkle again, she mentions that if he is looking for her, to find her in the Mermaid.

It seems the Elf, was looking to commission a piece of music….. and can be found often enough at the Mermaid, should Bon accept his offer._
After hearing said rumour, Bon begins to frequent the Mermaid in the hopes of being found by this elf.

Senator Leaffall rarely seems to leave town hall these days. When she does she is always flanked by a pair of Defender minders. The defenders seem to be less focused on potential threats and more focused on the senator - ensuring she doesn't wander off.

Rumors spread that the reopened pass is closed again. Most people aren't as optimistic about the orcs staying cooped up this time.

_With the Heavy Snow, Devils in the Commons and War with Bugbears you would be forgiven if you thought the world was coming to an end.
The usually mopy Arlan Meynolt was seen running through Peltarch, with a massive smile on his face, and looking incredibly happy.
Yup, Worlds coming to an end._

Along the same Erinyes rumour, the Black Sail Mogadishu was heard saying, "What the… FARK?!" for days afterwards, insisting that nobody seemed to fully understand that there had been a Devil in the middle of the Commons.

Rumors spread that one of the Remnants, the black clad Ardent, was having a discussion with a woman in the commons who before the eyes of others, changed into an erinyes and disappeared from view. Ardent left soon after, offering no explanation to any who may have seen the exchange.

Cecil is seen about Peltarch a whole lot, but goes missing for a couple days… only to return on a Silver Bedecked ship, nearly a warship from the looks of it, looking exhausted, and bloody, but pleased.
He seeks out Ashena at the temple.
He also has begun asking about only ONE emerald for his vulcan project.

A distraught Ashena searches the city for her guardsmanly fiancée, long braid dancing a jittery jig down her back.

Rumor has it that the great big guard Cecil… was slain.
He's up and walking around though, isn't he?

Rumors spread that the orcs, thought blocked off from attacking Peltarch, have found a way though the blocked pass. Some say a magical spell was involved in freeing them.

Having heard about Vulcan's goodies, and needing to face a Black Dragon soon, Cecil seeks out to get some Golden Hand Gauntlets of his very own.

With gauntlets in hand, he goes seeking the emeralds. He hasn't much coin, but has a few interesting trinkets to trade, and it's for a good cause!
He searches through Peltarch passing along the word of his quest.

_Rumors spread that about a week ago a small group of adventures descended into the caves of the Fishmen near Oscura. Upon their return they were "detained" by a large warrior calling himself Sogar, and a darkling mage named Kyan. The two harassed, taunted, and threatened the group until they left the caverns for the City.
It was noted that Sogar made references to the destruction of the Temple of Tempus near Peltarch. He also did not conceal his disdain for this deity or faith._

Rumour has it that two Gnomes have been killed in broad daylight in the Commons and the Residential district via magic. The assailant has been said to have disappeared without a trace after each attack, and was dressed in black robes and a hood looking like a damn Oscuran! Both of the corpses were completely incinerated on the spot, it is said, leaving no trace remaining.

There is a considerable sound of explosions ringing off to the west throughout the night until a large group of adventurers return rejoicing at their victory. Soon it becomes clear why, someone had powder kegged the numerous entrances to the orc lands, easing some of the pain Peltarch has felt at their constant attacks. Word is that the Norwick remnants, aided by numerous allies spread across many of the factions in Narfell, were responsible.
There are even tales an elven champion slew one of the biggest orcs anyone had ever seen. The takes say that the orc managed to slay her only for Corellan's light to shine downward from the heavens and bring her back to slay this beast. Have the elves claimed final victory over the orcs of Narfell?
