Tavern Rumors of Peltarch
-
Therean Ferather speaks to the Herald and asks who he needs to speak to about events in and around the city and if permits need to be applied for. He leaves his name and asks for an appointment.
((I'm usually late EST (-5) hours, 10pm-1am or so.))
-
It seems the hot new fashion trend in Peltarch is animal in nature - first a woman slinks out of Violetta's in a sleek black panther outfit, a man in a black bull's outfit strutting out soon thereafter. Druids - if they care about such things - may rejoice, being naturally trendy in the city for once.
-
Hammer spreads word that he's looking for mercenary or guard work. When asked by interested parties, he says he has experience fighting most common Narfell critters, he can grant Tempus' blessings when necessary and knows his way around the most common roads and areas of the region.
-
_As things begin to settle down to somewhat quiet, a dark cloaked elf is seen carrying what appears to be a wrapped body and bag from the Regal through the docks district to the Temple. Later he leaves with just the bag and heads straight to the residential district, where he stands in front of a home until the sun begins to peek over the horizon, as if refusing to do something in the middle of the night. When no one answers he lets himself in with a key from the bag, leaving the belongings inside and heads south.
In some of the confusion it appears, it was missed that someone has fallen. Perhaps a small price against the cost of saving the city…. but you'd not know it from the way the elf carries himself._
Best she is told… by someone who was close.. as family to him.
-
The quiet and oft hooded elf known to many as Eresse and sometimes as Sy'wyn was reported to have gone in said backroom with Sand quite awhile back… and hasn't been seen to come out. Rumors of course will likely fill in the details without him around to say otherwise.
-
Strangely, it seems that the purple druid, Fadia Nailo, is also a frequent visitor to that back room. Obviously, elven and bardic debauchery is afoot between Fadia and Val.
Either that, or there is some other, more hush-hush reason for such a diverse group of notables to be heading back in there.
-
Eluriel makes the a trip to Peltarch at least once a day. Each time she visits the Regal Maid - sometimes leaving for supplies and heading back there. Most visits involve a couple of stops in the residential district. She seems to be forever unrolling a map with something of a worried air. The only time she seems to be staying in one place or leaving the map alone is when the gold-and-black armoured Havon is nearby.
-
_The Songstress Val Kyrie, seems to be rather busy of late, especially since the announcement by Senator Ronan. If anyone were to follow her, they'd see that she goes from Town Hall, to the Markets, to the Regal Maid, then disappears for hours at a time into a backroom. Later, she emerges and repeats it all again.
What on earth could be happening?_
-
Rith Phoenixfeather has been seen by about anyone from the docks to the residentail district. Her plated armor and Lathanderite greatsword stained in foul-smelling blood, she regarded anyone along her way with a smile. When spotting any doubtful rioters, she makes mere mentions like "We've got them pinned", "There's nothing to worry", or "Peltarch is in good hands".
-
_Belma'r begins work on a project in the regal made. Supplies are being carted in by some of the most notable individuals in the realm. Rith, the high priestess of Lathander, Elurial, Sy,wyn, Val Kyre master of the bardec college. Apparently other mages will be soon joining in whatever venture is being held.
Word speaks that his is hope against the doom saying of a certain senator._
-
Private Uniel Zephyr steps off the riverboat and seeks out Ael'Que, standing shoulder to shoulder with him, calling out to try and calm those rioters nearest them. Two men fighting not far from her, who both fail to heed her requests for peace find themselves pulled from each other by her. One hand on each man's chest keeping them at armslength from her, she glares at each in turn and gives them a few terse yet bold words. Anyone listening might overhear the odd word such as 'neighbor', 'childish' and 'go home….please..'
-
Hammerhand on his part seems to keep to himself for the most part, seeming to feel quite at ease regardless of the panic and chaos – considering his calling as warpriest, he may even be enjoying it -- though he isn't above helping out those who want to but can't from getting clear of the riots.
-
(( Private Al'Que arrives at the docks and immediately offers his aid to the guards there. Standing shoulder to shoulder with them in trying to quell the mobs of terified citizens))
"What was he thinking? Announcing it that way? "he says " he could not let the Guard know first?"
-
The Legionairre known as Grog arrives in peltarch to assist the defenders with the riots. It is possible that his imposing size alone may make some of the rioters think twice about the wisdom of thier actions
-
Legionnaire Captain Benji is said to have ordered Legionnaires to Peltarch to assist with whatever they can after he was nearly trampled by rioting crowds.
-
Benji continues his frantic suit shopping. He doesn't seem to notice the impending doom has some adventurers worried.
-
On a cheerier note, rumours from the Commerce district may mention a certain wandring minstrel's return to the city as none other than Gaerielle was recently spotted at the commons, smiling and hobnobbing with a small group of people.
-
Further rumours follow shortly that two women came out of the sewer entrance at the docks warning the guards that powerful, hulking fire elemental beings set an ambush on them while simply patrolling the sewers.
-
_It seems a tenday or more had passed since Val and Troff were last seen, then they all of a sudden showed up in town, Val clinging to the elven warrior like a lost child and babbling about the dead.
Looks like the old Crypts might be haunted by something more than bad memories._
-
A group of 5 adventurers were seen entering the sewers, apparently making for the barrows. Songstress Val the most recognizable among them. Only three returned, the bard not among them.
