_With the destruction of the Hungry One, the last of the Taintbearers has been defeated.
First Thoon Half-Balor, in an epic battle in the old Warrens.
Then the Dowager Hive-Queen, in an infested cavern below the Ostromines on the very eve of the N'Jast war.
Now, with Wendigo's death, the last anchor of the Taint of Orcus is gone.
The next day seems little different… the woods are filled with goblins and worse... the Lost City is still a forsaken place...
But a healing has begun in the Rawlins, and the unnatural demon-taint is rapidly fading away to nothing.
Today, at least, the forces of Good and Balance have won the day. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?_

Albryanna, perched on the tower as always, makes no move to join in the celebration. Instead, she seems content to merely watch, a smile slowly spreading on her face. Something appears to be on her mind. Whatever could it be?

Apparently several bugbears wandered up to the south gates of Norwick, built a huge wooden effigy of the dracolich, set it on fire, and proceeded to dance around it in celebration, hitting at it with weapons and cheering. Several adventurers came out to swap alcohol with them and join the dancing. When the effigy finally collapsed under sword and fire, the bugbears cheered, bellowed, waved, and wandered peacefully back into the woods.

After an all too brief day of rest and sweets, Danika wastes little time before returning to the deep woods to observe those who might take advantage of the sudden change in power.
-
_The attacks upon the south gates, which until the battle had been nearly unceasing, first falter and then die to a trickle… then nearly stop.
What strikes do appear are just small goblin bands trying to pick off a lumberjack and getting too near the gates because their scout read the amp wrong._

Albryanna sends out small attachments of Guards and Scouts to escort all those back to Norwick who sought refuge elsewhere.

Belma'r can be seen celebrating by gorging himself on the most delicious of food and drinking plenty of wine and ale, taunting the dead dragon lich and the stoopid hungry one. Also if you haven't heard: CHAOS RULES

_Brendel is taking a lot of time in the Rawlins, exploring all his haunts. He can be seen around breathing deeply of the air; and touching treees and animals.
Though more perceptive folk notice him to be getting a bit edgier everyday, his gaze slipping South often._

::Rith is seen for a while around Norwick just chatting with her friends and having a tea over some new stories to share. One villager approaches her asking "Lady Rith - you told us this would happen all along, you never had the slightless doubt, how is it possible that the most optimistic of all outcomes came true?" to which she just responded "Because in the end, there were many more than me believing it."::

Jerrick, bright and early the next morning, is seen leaving for the glen, exclaming that it's time for the Druids to go tree-felling in the Rawlins… very specific trees.
(Going to finish off all the rotted trees, once and for all! Lager, want to post some NPC responses? )

Shortly thereafter, announcements go up that Aramuil will be hosting a victory party for all those who fought in the battle in a months time ((Sunday, 3 pm Pacific)). Free food and drink will be available!
EDIT: I forgot completely that I have plans on Saturday, so I changed the time over to Sunday at 3 pm.
