From a long life of loss, Gabriel has risen through the distortion of evil. He comes from a land known as Zelland. It is a land where Mages rule. The Hierarchy of Mages is somewhat mis-understood by those who do not share the Magickal Gift. Those who do not, are treated as slaves and forced to do manual labor for the "good of the Land." Gabriels parents brought him into the world of slavery and tyranny with a hope that the struggle to be free would be over before Gabriel was old enough to understand. His parents were part of a "rebel" group known as 'Arcane Archers', not a title, but a target. They would fight in the shadows, distancing themselves from the Mages Awesome power. Gabriel quickly learned the way of the woodsmen and women and learned archery for the very reason he was an outcast, the Mages. His parents were killed in a Night Raid hosted by a Mage General with orders from the King, to Purge the non magick scum who refused to be slaves. Gabriels father died fighting, while his mother was killed by a fiery blast trying to protect Gabriel. He survived, but has a severe burn scar on his left forearm that reminds him everyday that no person with Magickal powers can be trusted. He then Fled, living off the land alone for a while, untill he made his way to a hidden dock, where a trade ship had posted anchor. He snuck onto the ship and headed for anywhere but Zelland. He arrived in Norwick sometime later and his life, which has just started, is still yet to unfold.
