Tavern Rumors of Peltarch
-
Raman hears of the call from the priestess of Auril. He contacts a few others, making sure, that the message is received and then hastily leaves for Norwick.
-
Word is spread in the city, that Norwick is building a shrine of Auril and that all Aurilians in nearby regions should immediately arrive to the town of Norwick and contact Frostmaiden's representative in Narfell, priestess Meye Spark.
Apparently She claims of having personal mandate from the Frostmaiden to arrange such a calling.

Another streak of inordinately cold weather seems to touch the city, a freezing snowstorm that comes just as swiftly as it passes. Scattered rumours speak of a great wolf-shape being visible in the drift of snowflakes, while others claim this a trick of the mind, the eyes, or just pure nonsense. Something seems to have sent a group of guards scurrying to the Bardic College though, and more than one citizen may have heard the sorrowful howling of a lone wolf before the storm faded.

_Word quickly spreads from City Hall to the ears of interested merchants and traders that the Senate has narrowly voted to maintain its trade agreement with the City of Oscura, to the consternation of its critics and the approval of those making a tidy profit out of the arrangement with them.
In other rumours, despite the ongoing and reportedly successful series of meetings at City Hall between the Senate and the Chancellor of Norwick, word on the streets themselves is that Lord Dolvak is not long for this world, and that his beleaguered realm cannot possibly stand against the bugbear warlord Ostromog for much longer. Prior to the Chancellor's visit, few citizens could even tell you who or what Ostromog was, but it seems interest in Norwick's plight has increased as of late for some reason._

vague rumors of unknown origin claim that no threat, in comparison to 'a raising evil' from the rawlin's, are worthy of mentioning. No one knows what exactly is at play here, but supposedly it's neither goblins or bugbears work

***Well-known loudmouth Grak was in commons, sharing his views with all elves present. Rumors say that elven ears were bristling red due Grak's ill-mannered behaviour.
Talking might have ended in blows unless for some dark clad person joining the crowd. After brief downtalking with this stranger, they actually found mutual understanding as both were trademen. After brief examination of some leathergoods, stranger gave large pouch which immediately disappeared within Graks chainmail. Stranger was rumored to be eager to continue trading as obviously Graks items were in demand. However before being able to haggle price of some wooden staves, Grak abrudly left***

An armed procession of Red Falcons from Oscura were seen, with an Oscuran Wizard at the front, carrying a large box to just outside the Temple of the Triad. There, the box was passed silently to a mysterious figure, then each went their own way.
-
Word spreads from the Commerce District of the visit of a towering Fire Giant, who clambered over the Western Walls and was escorted to stand in front of City Hall, where the Senate spoke with him from a balcony. By all accounts their discussion was brief, and the Giant left again very shortly. Rumour has it the old truce with the Fire Giants has finally fallen apart, and that the Defenders are scrambling to prepare for the potential wrath of the Giants.
-
Someone starts spreading a strange, but perhaps believable rumour about the Oscura auction.
"Did you hear about Oscura? They've done themselves a Peltarch and started holding auctions to pay for the construction of another Church of Bane, the way I hear it, is that the original Church of Bane just can't hold all the Banites in their underworld!"
-
The Stonemasons Guild has begun work proper on the rebuilding of the Western Watchtower, under the watchful eyes of the Order of the Divine Shield. Apparently the Guild were uneasy about beginning work until now, but with the recent increase in Defender patrols in the foothills, they have finally committed the bulk of their labour force to the task. The work is highly sought after, as it comes with higher pay due to the inherent risk of being eaten by orcs.

A wild story flies around about a Hill Giant tippy-toeing through the Peltarch Commons, some versions of the same story claim at the Giant was going to the Mermaid for some of the house brew, Elidur Ginen's version of the story seems to tell a mixture of both tales, with the inclusion of himself acting as a hero for the city, and scaring the large brute off with as swish of his sword!
There's no doubt about it, however. A Hill Giant running through the streets - whatever next?!
-
The rumor spreads that there was some conflict in the commons between Meye Spark, Grak and Hammerhand. As a result of the clash, unconscious half-orc Grak was seen to be carried into the jail by Adelie and Lisa
-
Rumor has it, acting like a know-it-all ass and interfering in city officials work constantly, may not be appreciated by some city officials.
-
Rumor has it that quoting from the list of city ordinances in front of Defenders is now a crime punishable by… well, threats to make peoples' lives miserable when they are in the city. Sounds like corruption. It is also rumored that 'filthy' Oscurans are not wanted in Oscura and are frequently told they should go back to their 'tyrant ridden city.'
-
Wielding a tray of saffron and raisin buns, Perriwig seeks out the (slightly besmirched) elf, Elidur, pressing the thigh-plumping pile of toothsome treats on him.
-
The rumours of Elidur being attacked are refreshed by claims that the bard had been seen entering the guard house, unescorted. Some might wonder if 'mad' Elidur is handing himself in, others are perhaps - still not interested.
-
rumor spreads a bit that wherever inside the city of peltarch someone speaks bad about Elidur, Raúl steps out from the shadow to give them a hard look and telling them to stop talking trash about his friend
-
When Raman hears of Elidrus chase throught the streets he just says "I wish they would have caught him". He curses the "mad" Elidur and walks away…
-
A rumor spreads around the city that Rath Ashald has been seen waving his manhood from a window somewhere in peltarch's residential district
-
Perhaps nobody bothered to report it, or perhaps nobody cared - even as Elidur fled through the streets of Peltarch, clearly being chased by Hammerhand weilding his halberd, and a strange woman who Elidur says is actually a guard from Norwick. As the two men ran down the main market street, it seems the warrior of Tempus shot at Elidur with his longow - with critical success, still no guards came. When neither of them emerged from the alley it seemed to not raise enough suspsicion or alarm, even when the local bard cried out for help. And despite going directly to Lisa there has still been no formal action. Are people talking about it, it doesn't seem so. Is there any justice for the bard? Not really.
But Elidur survives, apparently. At least in body - although it's evident of late that his spirit is a little damp, if not totally crushed.
