Biography: Argo Orfeus
This elven youngster by the name of Argo looks a bit different compared to his kind. The gruesomeness of fate has turned Argo's exceptional features more humanlike. Bitterness and hate has brought wrinkles and humane fatique to his expressions. He tries to hide his elven bloodline under his thick raven black hair and behind his grey eyes to meld into society. He is little smaller than average human, therefore combined with his slender build and palish skin can often mislead others. But what grace he has! His finesse, skills with a bow and effortless movement sets him a world apart from humans.
Argo prefers to wear whatever the situation needs, but usually carries his bow with him. Just in case. Normally Argo isn't recognized easily from normal townspeople, but his racial features and attitude towards life and other people can give him away. Time is too pretty abstract to him. So what, if he spends 10 years in prison. It is only a fraction of his lifespan, why bother to worry.
Biography: Jutanas Orfeus
Jutanas is young male human in his twenties. Normal sized for his age by build and height. His skin is lightly tanned and otherwise he isn't memorable by any means. He keeps his black hair medium lenght and prefers to wear studded leather for his own safety. Like his brother Argo, he likes to wear clothes by situation. In his pitch black eyes is something unsettling that nobody can explain.
He hides his wickedness well. On the outside he seems just a normal fellow, but the looks can be deceiving. Nobody truly knows what are his ambitions and goals, but he is determined to use any means necessary to reach them.
Tale of the Brothers Orfeus
Nobody knows the true story behind the Brothers Orfeus. Their known tale starts from the Safe Anchorage orphanage in the bustling city of Peltarch. The orphanage itself is located in the middle of sinister docks district.
It is known by few that Jutanas' parents were not the most caring that one could have. The boy was a stain in their record. He was an unwanted child of a forbidden love, so his parents coldly abandoned him when he was just few years old. Hated by his parents, he was left out to the streets of Peltarch in the dangerous docks district. Only misery and demise was waiting for this boy, unless fate hadn't interfered. Young elven orphan named Argo happened to stumble upon this boy and took him to the Safe Anchorage.
Argo hails from the eastern city of Immilmar and his story is as sad as Jutanas'. The elven boy was left alone decades ago, after his parents faded to the afterlife while still in Immilmar. Loving human family took Argo under their wing and warmth after his parents died. He was raised as one of their own, but this bliss was soon to change. The family was forced to move to Peltarch and began to realize that raising an elven boy brings many problems with it. Needless to say, they felt it was an impossible task for mere humans like them. So they decided to leave Argo to an orphanage which was located in the docks. Argo became distant and cold after realizing that again he was abandoned by the ones he loved.
Both of them grew together in the orphanage their minds filled with bitterness and distrust towards society. The docks district as their teacher, they learned what the word survival meant. After time passed by they both started to trust each other, because they had experienced similiar griefs and disappointments in their childhood.
Years went on and financially the orphanage started to slowly wither away. One afternoon Jutanas thought a way to turn the tables and help himself and the orphanage. He ran to Argo and shared his masterplan with his elven “brother”. Jutanas and Argo started to practice arts of thievery, for the sake of the Safe Anchorage. They began with the games of hide & seek and started to practice pickpocketing and pilfering from each other. This was their secret and they promised each other that nobody would ever find about their light sensitive machinations. After few months they gathered up their courage and started to steal from the locals. They stole money, food and other items that helped their daily life at orphanage. Of course they shared their “findings” with other children secretly and nobody suspected them at all.
Inexperience were to become their windfall. In their moment of overconfidence they decided to steal from the nobles. Of course they were caught, but they never knew about it until it was too late. Their latest and last victim followed boys to the orphanage and brought the guards with him. Boys tried to talk themselves out of the situation, but they were caught with the latest loot spreaded on the floor ready for counting. After the city guards throughly searched the orphanage, their scheme came into daylight. Stolen items from crimes a year back was found and there was only one conclusion to be drawn. The whole thievery was organized and put into action by the staff of the orphanage. Considering the evidence and witnesses, the hope of so many children was closed down. The orphanage disappeared and all those children were left into the cold streets of Peltarch.
It was clear, who were responsible for the closure of Safe Anchorage. The people of the city and former dwellers of the orphanage promised that they would never forget who did this. The boys who tried just to help were left with nobody but themselves. It seemed that even the gods seemed to abandon these two misunderstood souls. From now on they had to rely on each other and to the skills they had learned. While living in amidst the shadows and the rabble of the docks district, they found someone to rely on. He was called Mask, the Lord of Shadows. Mask showed them a way in his own kingdom.
The misunderstood and despiced pair took the name of Orfeus. Years passed by and the whole incident is nothing but memory now. Brothers Orfeus learned to live in the shadows and behind the big scenes, hidden from the all seeing eye of law. Now they truly can say that they have learned how to survive.
And this is how their unspoken story begins…
