Corin Tocho: Tpickles211

Character Name: Corin Tocho
Login Name: Tpickles211Corin Tocho was not always the name of the human the citizens of Narfell recognize. It once belonged to a wemic firemane. It’s owner was a happy and simple tribe member and priest to Nobanion. However this happiness did not last forever. A band of Malarites began a mass genocide of wemics in response to the Lion God‘s push into the plains. It was during the massacre of Corin’s tribe that Nobanion appeared to Corin and revealed an alternate fate. Nobanion transformed Corin‘s lower body into that of a human granting him the appearance of one. Under this disguise, Nobanion ordered Corin to escape to Cedarspoke as a Malarite. Corin followed the order to Cedarspoke and became a dockworker, as he needed to make a living.
He kept his faith for awhile after his escape and even tattooed his chest and biceps in honor of the Lion God. However, His sadness for the deaths of his tribe and guilt for his inability to protect them were traded with confusion over a human lifestyle and the difficult labor he was assigned to. One day when he was drowning his delirium with a bottle of ale in the tavern he frequented, three robed men entered all bearing multiple daggers strapped to their belts. In this situation Corin learned that humans are better kept ignoring such open hostilities displayed by strangers. However, as the men sat at the table, Corin noticed a charm crafted of a wemic’s paw strung around one of men’s neck and instantly knew they were Malarites. Years of guilt and mental anguish pushed him to enter a deep primal rage that brought him back to his primitive aggression of a wemic. He assaulted the men and killed all three of them. With blood covered hands he came out of his frenzy on a ship bound for a Ilmwatch on the other side of the sea of fallen stars.
After the ship docked in Ilmwatch he simply walked off and set forth northwards. Corin knew that is place was no longer among civilized men so he resided as a hermit amongst the giant spire mountains and Rawlinswood. It was during his stint as an outcast that a small fire broke out in south Rawlinswood. Quickly, he found himself trapped in a circle of flame with no escape. His fear was suddenly dwarfed by awe as a lions head appeared amidst the flames. It let out a terrible roar which stilled Corin. He listen to the head as it admitted its identity as the Lion God Nobanion. It was then Nobanion revealed his plans for Corin. He was to head northward to the town of Peltarch and shed his suffering in order to lead. Corin was to spread honor and dignity amongst all beings in Narfell and protect it from the pure evil of the demon invaders. With those words the fires spread throughout the Rawlinswood diminished to embers in a matter of minutes and Corin began traveling northwards.
