  • _After several dozen undead are felled the incoming seem to lessen giving the defenders some breathing room. The floor is well littered with severed limbs and dead goblin remains making quick movement tricky.

Maybe it was her cat instincts, maybe it was a sudden change of movement in her peripheral vision but Tindra suddenly had an urge to dodge and just barely avoids a crippling strike and instead gets a painful gash on her side that was definitely not a mummy. Turning a quick look at her attacker she sees Spitter…but not Spitter, gone is the life from his eyes, his face gaunt and skin grayish seems quite intent on swinging his axe at her again.

From Grahk and Rag's view Spitter, long having held his ground suddenly stops moving, standing still in the midst of a handful of mummies. The mummies then seem to ignore Spitter and rush towards Tindra. And while the odd sight is still being deciphered, Spitter turns and rushes Tindra axe poised to decapitate Tindra but at the last moment she twists to the side leaving a notable gash on her side.

    Mark <g>BAD MOJO!

Grahk stiffens his resolve and with a growl seems to bash at the dozen or so mummies still surrounding him and Rag with renewed frenzy.

Belin prepares for the onslaught of the Lady and takes a quick glance at the Tensered and Dwin sparring back and forth, neither seems to have the upper ground and both support minor injuries but nothing of note.

The Lady advances on Belin as the first axe smashed into her back, then the axe drops to the ground as if gaining no bite on her. She quickly pivots and looks at the new threat.

Tal: :: snorts in derision:: Dwarves like dirt, chew on this!

:: The Lady gestures quickly and before the armored dwarf a very big earth elemental appears from nowhere and wasting no time begins swinging at his head::

The Lady then turns back to Belin (but has no move left to advance).</g>_

  • Tindra shrugs off the minor slaps and scratches from the mummies and retaliates with her claws and rends mummies apart with all her strength. In the back of her head, she takes note of the odd feeling, but decides to worry about it after when she has time to think.

    Until she sees Spitter.

"He's sick, definitely sick. Could that be what the odd feeling is? Why?" she thinks to herself. She deduces quickly that it's likely to be something from the mummies but her inexperience with these kinds of undead leaves her ill-informed on exactly what it could be.

She takes note of the armored dwarf who appeared and cleared his own path to join Dwin. The cat doesn't bother to wonder who it is, that will be revealed in time she's sure. She does take the opportunity to shift her attacks to see if she can clear some room for her and Spitter to move toward the rest of her party for more hands to fight with and perhaps somebody will recognize what is wrong with Spitter.

  • Meanwhile, Ragnhild fights back to back with her own kin, keen blue eyes alert to the fight near the throne, making sure she's never so thick into the mass of mummies that a well aimed kick or slash of her axe won't give her free room to race over. She knows the Dolvaks are no push-overs though, and for now focuses mainly on decimating the number of oncoming mummies as quickly as possible. As usual, Ragnhild fights with full strength and fury and seems to ignore many of the smaller hits she inevitably takes in return.

    • Narrowing his eyes through his helm as he starts to jog a bit faster towards Dwin, the armored dwarf towards the inside of his shield as he reaches for a throwing axe.

As his eye pick a spot on the Lady's back and slows his pace as he transfers the momentum of his motion as well as the power from his legs and arms to the poison dipped axe.

As the axe leaves his hand, he quickly picks up the pace again, reaching for another axe, and taking aim.

This continues as he runs towards his kin-folk, and until he runs out of the poison dipped axes. When the axes run out, he just runs faster towards the lady already picking the spot in her spine where he wants to plant his axe.

Roaring with rage, he becomes more beast like as his blood lust grows. Enjoying the thought of the Lady's gruesome death, he prepares the savagery in his mind.

    No one touches his kin.*

  • Belin stops moving when she sees Dwin take his tumble. Practically holding her breath to see if the bat wing notices her for a few heartbeats. Throwing up a magical circle against evil as she keeps her dark eyes trained on the devil woman. Noting her approach she steps back 10 ft closer towards Dwin. Her battleaxe in hand she grins at the creature.

Yuh look like yuh need un ale. Yuh seem tuh be having un bad day…

casting another spell as she stands her ground, bulls strength.

  • With Dwin now occupied with the Tensered goblin, the Lady turns her gaze to the resilient Belin with the glowing mace shedding an erie purple aura.

    'Time to make dwarf paste'

    • The armored dwarf eyes the mummies as they ineptly scrape at his broad shield with their fingers.

His shield hand clutching a small holy symbol, he mutters in gutteral dwarven, his jaw clenching as he does so.

As he mouths the final words (Turn Undead), he pushes them off with his shield.

Annoyed by the undead attention, those mummies nearest are quickly hobbled as he kneels and spins tightly, his axe aimed carefully at the knees.

The keen edge of the Amn can be heard cutting mummified sinew and scraping bone with a clear "ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing".

Mummies lean, mummies fall, and the dwarf stands as he clears some space.

Narrowing his eye towards his blood kin, he starts to make his way towards the bigger threat. *

  • Dwin grunts as he sees the new threat and barely ducks in time to save a decapitating blow. He plants his feat firmly and takes his ever-familiar Defensive Stance against the oncoming greenskin. Dwin's first attacks are meant to powerfully knock his foe to the ground if possible, setting up a deadly sneak-attack follow up.

  • _Grahk flashes a grin at Rag then directs Spitter to push towards the doorway. He then makes an odd hand gesture at Mark who nods in return and starts casting something.

Gritting his teeth Grahk begin weighing havoc into the incoming mummies.

Tindra stuck in the masses, seems to hold her own well, each individual hit she takes is minor but she feels odd. As Spitter nears her she can't but help to notice he doesn't look well, his skin seems to be yellowing and deep circles lay beneath his eyes.

The armored dwarf is quickly mired in mummies their claws clashing against his plate.

As Dwin begins prepping his list of defenses the tall woman does in kind. He might of even finished his preparations before a now Tensered goblin comes out from behind the throne swinging at his head._

  • (( I was waiting till after the holidays, but I will post something later if you want ))

  • ((Bumpity bump))

  • Ragnhild meets Grahk's grin with one of her own, slinging the spear to her back and instead gripping the silver greataxe he once gifted her with, ready to cut the oncoming mummified goblins to shreds. Though the demonic woman's reappearance startles Ragnhild, she stays alongside Grahk and Spitter in the melee that follows, fighting like a furie and shouting back:

"Dwin!! Yell if need extra axe, and.. save giant bat wings - gifft for Horbag!"

She grins ferally, keeping an eye on the fight near the throne whenever possible in the midst of melee, as if ready to leap to Dwin's aid if needed. With the appearance of the third dwarf, Ragnhild's full attention turns to the mummies, cutting a path to aid his way to Dwin's side.

    • The heavily armored dwarf grumbled and watches, thinks for a moment, then stands *

"Greenskin yeh stay eer. I will leave you protection if yeh cen stand the smells.."

    • with that he mutters a few gutteral words in dwarven summoning an undead, with whom he mutters a few quiet words to.

Satisfied that the undead will protect his goblin "squire", he stands and begins to make his way towards the undead. *

"DEMON! TAKE HEED DAT YEH MAY WANT TEH CHOOSE YEH BATTLES AFORE YEH MEET MY MISTRESS!"

    • Walking quickly with his staff leaving burn marks on the cave floor he makes his way towards Dwin *

  • Dwin rolls and tumbles and jumps back to his feet, holding Steelcutter in one hand and his shield in the other. He reaches down and yanks a strap on his boots. Seconds later he is covered in a thick bark. He then yanks his belt (Protection from Evil) and turns a ring (Bulls Strength) before attack-rushing at the bat-winged wench…

  • @9e93a7d931=Salsadoom:

Moments later Mark turns around and screams as a mass of obviously mummified goblins come pouring thru the doorway.

Tindra pauses for a quick moment in shock at seeing mummies storm through the door. While she had expected trouble at the door, this obviously wasn't what her instinct had in mind.

But she quickly adapts. She expected a fight and here it is. Her belongings quickly hit the floor and with a feral roar she shapeshifts into her werecat form and readies herself for the assault.

  • _As Dwin rushes to the throne he is immediately hit by what feels like a 'ton of ore' and is thrown 20 feet back hitting the ground hard and tumbles several feet.

Seemingly, out of nowhere, stands the tall woman before the throne where Dwin was approaching wielding a glowing mace, her face marred by a look of pure irritation.

((in what sounds like a yell to the party))

<tarl>Mortal fools, you are too late. Lord Orcus has the Orb in his hands and with Orcusword in the other now hunts down the Champions. Soon the Gates will open and the War will be brought to the Enemy.

::with that her eye begin glowing a fiery red as a pair of demonic bat wings unfold from behind her back::</tarl>_

  • Seeing the imminent danger, but unable to avoid his instincts, Dwin rushes to the back of the throne where he thought he saw some movement and quickly searches for anything peculiar.

  • _Tindra's spell seems to have no affect. Spitter and Grahk stand side by side trying to discern any sound or movement. The room seems completely devoid of the giant woman or the goblin on the throne to everyone….

But Dwin who swears he saw 'something' duck behind the throne.

Moments later Mark turns around and screams as a mass of obviously mummified goblins come pouring thru the doorway.

<grahk><g>::grins at Rag:: time to feed axe</g></grahk>_

  • "I'll try," Tindra says with an unsure voice. She focuses her mind and releases a spell to purge magics again, this time showering the area around the throne with the nullifying magic. ((Dispel Magic again, as an area spell))

As soon as the spell is released, however, she turns around and steps toward the exit. Instinct tells the werecat that her spell won't help and that the prey might be running to the exit. She discreetly loosens buttons and straps and makes ready to shapeshift.
