Agathon grew up in Peltarch, the son of a common family. Yet through the inheritance his father received from the passing of Agathon's Grandfather, the family was able to put Agathon through a bardic training program under the direction of the Bardic College.

Proving to be an adept student, Agathon was pleased to set his mind to the study of musical instruments, singing, and the writing of poetry and dramatic works.

The years of education passed quickly for Agathon, and he made many friends and learned much during the course of study. As the final year approached, Agathon began work on his culminating project: a theatrical work including song and dance that was entitled "The Call of Lathander”, in honor of his family’s devotion to the Morninglord and of his inspiration by his patron deity.

Sadly, midway through his final year of study, his father passed away from natural causes, and in his sorrow over his father’s passing, Agathon withdrew from studies at the Bardic College. Taking up a part of the family trade (carpentry) for a time, Agathon’s work on “The Call of Lathander” slowed to a stop.

After a few years, the pain of his father’s passing had subsided, and his family business was doing well. The children of his two brothers were now of age to help with the work, and Agathon decided to begin pulling out of the family business, hoping to complete his course of study at the College. Finding all the records still in place for his coursework, all he needed was to complete his Final Work. He has now set to completing that, while wandering the city for inspiration in his musical.

He is also fascinated by the songs of the city, and hopes to record them for posterity’s sake, so that when the old songs are no longer sung, they can be remembered by a few.
