Fall of the Warrens
-
_Work quickly spreads that an army composed of mighty folk from the Legion, both Druid Circles, Spellweaver Keep, the Norwick Militia, the Silver Valley Dragoons, and other unaffiliated adventurers has marched on and decimated the infamous Bugbear Warrens.
Deep inside the foul tunnels, beset by demon and bugbear, spirit and warmachine and undead, they fought and vanquished the vile mastermind Thoon, a bugbear who claimed to be a by-blow of Orcus himself. The embryonic planar cyst he was nurturing was closed.
Victory came at a price; five of the adventurers fell, and many dragoons, hinnak, and druids gave their lives to hold back the tides outside the Warrens. But the power of the demon-tainted bugbears has been broken; reduced to small bands, the few survivors have fled east to try and shelter with the tainted goblins.
A mighty force of evil has been vanquished._

*Cyrian's and Devlin's torn apart bodies were carried in honor to the healers where they were prayed over by Kia and Tristina as well as other party members. A somewhat bemused Devlin wandered back into life and prayers are still being laid upon Cyrian's body. (He had to log, it was a long night).
It seems also a heavy attack by wolfmen occurred at the north gates of the realm while the army fought through the warrens. The Miltiia and scout forces held the wall against all comers until, with ear splitting howls the wolfmen suddenly stopped their onslaught and fled in terror and dismay.*

_After the group who went down the warrens emerged back up, all surviving dragoons gathered their fallen back to Norwick at the healer's, where Theaon resurrects any dead he could. For the main bulk of their numbered dead that they couldn't, they bought them back to the valley, where the numbered Yondalla's Faithfuls, chosen priests of Yondalla tended to the dead, bringing them back with their priest spells.
Dietrick also personally carried the body of one of the dead hinnaks who went down the warrens with the group and died in the battle against Thoon. Her body was given back over to her kin._
