Grags Return!

  • A vigilant woman elf in legion armor discover's Grag tied to the watchtower near Jiyyd's front gate, and she sprints to his side cutting the ropes holding him. A mixture of tears and relieved chatter greet the morning, and she produces a huge robe from her pack, as if ready for just such an incident.

"Gosh, it's awfully good to see you, Grag. We were really, really worried. Welcome back, you big lug."

  • _One early morning, months after Grag's disappearance, a shout rings out. Apparently in the dead of night, with no one seeing or hearing anything, a body was bound to the watch tower. Naked and seemingly uninjured with his gear by his feet Grag waits untying. This one seems quite 'full' of internal organs and quite vocal.

Next to the gear lies a note easily seen.

"The half orc has paid for his crimes. May he have learned about his true self and reflect."_

  • Chaevre' attempted to visit Grags corpse but was told it was in the Temple, she stated she was curious to see what was the cause of his demise.

  • ICC

An ancient and extremely shaggy halfer walks into Vroka's, covered in numerous animal hides. He leaves a small crest on Grag's chest, the crest, a plate of bronze embellished with scales, is the size of a halfling's hand.

  • Vroka seems subdued of late. Those attending vroka can attest she seems tobe working on little sleep caring for Grag's corpse. Seems she keeps casting various spells periodically that don't leave her looking happy. She does seem to appreciate the attendance of others in her own way.

  • Private Calen has been seen checking in on General Grag and kneeling in prayer at the Temple of Helm and the healers in Jiyyd. He can be seen with his head in his hands around the fire waiting for some word of the Generals healing.

  • "SIlmiel get's the new like a shock seeming mad at having miss".

  • Vroka leaves the healers and walks up to Lyte and has a few words with her and hands her a scrap of paper. She then nods and goes back into the healers.

  • Felix is seen entering Vroka's every week, at the same time, carrying a small bag of salt and some copper…Those who are familiar with divine spells will recognize the reagent for the Gentle Repose spell. Though the corpse is usually covered with a shroud, upon inspection of the head it appears that a bandanna has been placed over the place where the eyes should be.

  • General Lyte is seen silently standing vigil outside Vroka's, patiently waiting for a report from the healers on Grag's condition and eventual return to life.

  • Rumor has it that irate, outraged Legion soldiers have had to chase away a number of snow goblins who keep sneaking into town and sidling up to Grag with clubs, repeating over and over, "Pinata?"

  • The Halfling Defence League

_After hearing news, Dietrick was seen at the healers, at the bed where Grag's body is laid upon.

He is seen kneeling on one knee, with his sword's point on the ground, holding it upright with one hand on the handle. He muttered words the volume of a whisper and is seen doing this for a long while.

When he walked out, a long howl can be heard in jiyyd._

  • Upon walking by the tower, Felix is seen to double-take the sight. "By Tempus, is that Grag?!" he's heard to exclaim, running up the tower to hear the story…

Minutes later, he is seen walking away from the tower, his face set and his hands white knuckled on his hammer, a foreign fire in his eyes...

  • Jerrick's keen eyes take in the sight before the few stragglers that can't take their eyes from the body can tell him what happened.

There are no words, no sounds, no expression, or gestures that could have been seen or explained just then. Simply an overwhelming, gut turning, bile raising, soul aching wrenching feeling that stops time… and defies logic.

He stands there for a while, motionless, seeming to have a staring contest with the body, as if unable to move... until a small hand grasps his cloak and tugs, a little Jiyyd girl asking him "Is that misters Grags? Why he not movins, huh?"

That is enough to stir Jerrick, and he gently turns her around and points her to home, telling her that her mother needs her help with something, and she should hurry along... eventually he heads to the Hall to give the dire news.
