Sounds in the Night

_With increasing frequency, people in New Norwick are hearing sounds drift in on the wind from the valley below… screams, battle cries, roaring flames, bugbear roars, and the stomping of giants.
Others report hearing a child's giggle.
The guards on the southgate speak of seeing parts of Old Norwick, as it was in days past, suddenly drift into focus out of the fog... then vanish again.
The Constable is said to be taking missing person reports from the families of several people who went into the ruins at night and failed to return._

During daylight, Keen spends time seeking out the bodies of the missing, even though given the mysterious nature of their dissappearance she doesn't hold out much hope. At night, she occasionally visits the families or friends of the lost, hoping to provide some sollace to them in their grief.

On a recent night when the druids were out about the fire in various forms, Belia, Jerrick, and Naiya, a ghostly image of Naiya in her human form appeared, and reenacted a previous conversation with Fadia, from back in the times of the Defiler wars.
Jerrick stood by with a magic arrow ready to strike the apparation, but it dissapeared without conflict.
The druids sat about for a time discussing this, and wonder if it has something to do with a ghostly girl they spoke about before.

Dietrick is no longer looking listless, but seems in higher spirits. His eyes looking determined, it appears he is preparing for something…

Dietrick can be seen lately in a listless mood, appearing mostly in deep thinking. At times even seen walking impatiently up and down around the fire muttering.

In recent days ghostly manifestations in the old ruins have slackened, and fewer spectral images appear.
Conversely, the noises on the wind and the sense of unease and displacement seem to have risen in scope.
A stillness hangs over the remains of Old Norwick… calm before the storm.

Celestria slowly nods and sighs
Do we have any descriptions or information that would help us keep a watch out for these people? And can we get some warning signs up at the south gates to possibly deter more losses like this?

Guardsman Dietrick warns any who approach towards the south gate at night that it is dangerous to venture out and that it is best to stay in until daybreak.
