Camp Bon Fire Rumors and Stories

  • William seems to be everywhere Raver is these days, almost hovering…. Raver looking a bit pale at times, and almost giddy others

  • _After eerie howls were heard throughout the nars pass, the badly bitten, bleeding and all around beaten forms of Kara DuMonte and Ronan Redralen stumbled into the gypsy camp, promptly collapsing and muttering something incoherant about demons and hobgoblins.

After the two recovered somewhat, a larger group consisting of Aelthas, Kara, Lycka, Ronan, Rudi, Vagabond and Zyphlin set out towards the bridge area to investigate further, returning in pretty much the same torn up state. Word is that there is a powerful hell hound on the loose, and that the hobgoblin cave is infested with demons and cross-bred, corrupted hobgoblins. Lycka can be overheard later recounting the battle with large, dramatic gestures, describing in great detail the horror of the slimy slaadi encountered, the great hulking shapes of demonic hounds and the frighteningly alluring succubi and incubi dropping from the skies to cast evil spells to tear at body and mind._

  • Rhistin's seen running into camp and talking with Mira with large gestures: "There's Kuo Tua in the Pass just North of here"

  • More Warriors are seen patrolling the Pass, and the Camp itself these days, while Jaiden and Mira are seen training with the men and women Warriors and each other. One of them is overheard speaking of someday bringing all the squads together under one group.

Araganor has been seen near the orc head, he wasn't runned out yet.

  • A run in with the Gruumsh worshipping half orcs near the old Orc head slave marker ended with the Gypsy Warriors and Star seeing them off camp land. Star asks that for the moment only the female be allowed back, since she seemed to prefer talking to violence.

  • A small, but colorful poster goes up near the canopy in camp:

Those who have ever been to the Morrison home may notice that large, booted feet have been skulking around in it. At least three pairs of muddy footprints lead up to the door and head inside the house proper. The footprints go everywhere, including to the bathtub which has muddy water and emits a horrible stench. The dressers also show signs of tugging, but their locks have not been opened. The carpets have been used as rugs. Who could have done this crime?

  • _Jonathan, long absent from Camp, is said to have returned - though whispers say he was discovered wounded nearly to death, lying close to the Heartfires.

After being healed, some say he spoke long with Jonni, though no one seems to know about what_

  • Raver and Mira are seen disappearing into Jonni's tent and come back out shortly both relaxed and smiling. Raver hands Mira back her Pink Armband, pats her shoulder and heads off to talk to the Black Dragons. No one still seems to know what's going on, but the storm seems to have passed.

  • Jerrick has been seen lately in the Camp, more often than he is usually seen there, but wherever he is, there always seems to be an argument nearby, which he makes a habit of shying from, or speaking quietly about, seeming to keep back from any real confrontation.

His trademark grin is missing as often as not these days due to such things, but he has been amiable enough to his friends, if not distracted at times.

Seems something's heavy on his mind now…

  • After three more Romani, children this time, are found partially dissolved and acidicly burned to death near the northern entrance to the collapsed mines in the Inner Camp. One Warrior posted at each entrance on rotating sentry duty make sure no other children wander so near and warn what few others who wander near too. They don't keep anyone bent on going into the mines, just any curious little ones, and keep on eye out for any further inexplicable flows of acid from inside. Water dripping just inside the mine entrances leave the same acidic burns found on the ground around the children and on their bodies too. The children were carried to Cera and Jeni to be raised and tended to.

  • Elder Star seems to quietly support Raver taking both squads, but it's never been that well kept a secret that she thinks Jonni has too high an opinion of himself so it may be just because of that.

  • Aelthas may be returning to normal, but the Commander of the Black Dragons is highly unhappy, and taking her ire out on anyone who comes within spitting distance.
She's demoted Mira back to Lieutenant, given Mira and Jaiden new assignments and duties. and informed Jonni that she's taking over both squads….. and if he don't like it, he can try an' take them from her.

  • _Aelthas seems quiet on the whole subject, even his smile returning a bit after a talk in Jonni's tent with Mira. He goes about his usual days, training at the combat dummies every morning, laughing with the men and women of camp, crafting in the afternoon and sitting around the fire with some people at night when he isn't off on a trip somewhere.

Whatever has happened to make him leave the Warriors, he isn't going to say, just avoiding the topic all together if asked._

  • Word spreads quickly throughout the camp of Aelthas' resignation from the Warriors after what appears to be a falling out with his fellow Commander Raver. Emotion seemed to run high as Raver and Lycka could be overheard yelling at each other at the heartfires, while Ael himself walked off swiftly after having said his piece, returning a while later to exchange a few tense and angry words with both Raver and William. Regardless of why or how the strife began, it seems to make none of those involved happy. Aelthas' resolve seems firm though, as he has already handed over command of the Pink Warriors to Mira and no longer wears the trademark blue-brown- and pink of the squad.

  • Ragnhild seems to take the panther's presence around their tent in her stride, apparantly used to Asha bringing home stray animals by now. Though the big cat is definitely greeted with more wariness than the lovable Limp was, a soft smile lights up the blonde warrioress' face as she watches her daughter caring for the animal with such enthusiasm. Fresh deer and boar meat is provided in generous quantities to help Pounce's recovery.

  • After the recent trip into the pass where the Fadia and Ginger and William all rescued a panther with a broken leg from the taint, Asha can be seen happily caring for the large predator. Feeding the cat meat and checking the splint. She seems to greatly enjoy caring for the animal and announces loudly that the cat will be called Pounce because that's what she'll teach her. For the time being the panther remains quiet, though, and shows no inclination to live up to her name.

  • Raver is quiet, withdrawn these days. Her eyes are sad, lifeless and she barely speaks. She's handed most of the duties of the Warriors over to Jaiden. She's been spotted on the far side of the Gypsy Pass staring into the fire, or there's rumors that there are days she doesn't leave her house

  • _For a long while a wolf was the constant companion of Asha, but now the lovingly called Limp has disappeared from the camp. Asha appears even more quiet and withdrawn with the disappearance of the wolf, but those who ask her about him are told that he's back with his own flock. That he's home and he'll be happy. The young woman seems almost desperate in her attempt to smile, then, despite the sadness in her voice.

The last time Limp was seen around the camp was when he strolled north accompanied by Celebring, Lycka and Asha, the two young women chatting and talking to the well-fed but quiet wolf almost endlessly._
