Camp Bon Fire Rumors and Stories
-
_Lycka can be overheard repeating the tale in a sing-song manner, the spider growing larger with each retelling and her gestures ever wider and more dramatic. The story ends in a spectacular manner, Lycka thrusting a branch into the ground with full force, simulating Asha's final spearing of the monsterous spider.
Ragnhild appears mightily proud of her daughters latest exploits, and Asha's use of the spears in particular brings a wide grin to her face. She'll often spar playfully with her youngest, showing her a few of the tricks she's picked up over the years.
Whether due to this current mood of good-will or for some other reason, the blonde warrioress makes no move to stop Lycka from spending her nights in Aelthas' tent, just as long as he remains outside it. One cold, early morning before the first grey light of dawn creeps across the sky, the commander even wakes to find himself covered by a warm polar bear fur._
-
Around the fire a story is told of the Daring Gypsy Girls and their exploits in the spider woods. Asha claims that she went with Rhistin and Lycka into the deep woods, apparently looking for ways to try out a new set of spears. They were swarmed by legions of spiders, or so the story goes, and when they did return Rhistin and the otherwise healthy if plump Asha looked deathly pale and barely alive. They claim they met like a giant spider deep in the woods, that tossed a web over them and froze Rhistin in place. It almost killed Asha with poison and could only be cut down by the combined effort of Lycka and the other two young women. In the end, the dashing trio overcame even that horrifying threat and returned victorious to the warming fires.

_Aelthas seems to be tired of late, maybe due to the undead attacks and the extra time he spends outside in the pass with Kara waiting for them, or the even later patrols into the night he has been taking his men on.
Of course it could also have something to do with the fact that Lycka seems to fall asleep inside his tent most nights, studying her books and Aelthas sleeps just outside his tent on the cold, wet ground, after he covers her up with a blanket.
No matter the reason, he is rarely seen in the camp itself until late at night near his tent sleeping, even getting up well before sunrise and heading into the pass again_

*Rumor has it that a motley group of young bloods seems to be always surrounding a man in black leathers. The reason why the man in black leathers seems to always be surrounded by the young bloods remains a mystery. Whether they are generally concerned about his almost always wounded nature or perhaps the hint of prosperous dealings is anyone’s guess. One thing is for certain that the chuckle that is rumored to be heard so commonly from the man in black leathers seems to be having a ragged tired tone of late. *

_After months of absence, since the first weeks of Aeltha's missing, Cherry literally just walks out of thin air, magical energies forking over her form until it is no longer transparent. She aparently was truding through something, as she leaned heavily into every step until her last twosteps made her fully opaque.
This ocuring near the Heartfires,, she took a deep breath and smiled. Giving a chirpy and cheery greeting to anyone around or near the fires at the time, Cherry strolled off to her tent, uttering nothing else._
-
_Some even whisper about a hell hound killed and a knight of Torm tossed out of camp by Aelthas, but amid all the other more deadly and exciting undead attacks happening, the whispers don't last long.
Most people seem to be talking about the red haired knight guarding the hill outside the camp with the Warriors, she seems to be getting a lot of pillows, food and wine to make her stay comfortable.
Also, Aelthas is the newest merchant in camp. Anyone interested in some nice wands, rings, boots, cloaks and armor are to come see him. Suited for the woodsy, sneaking and mage types. Although no one will be turned away._
-
_Trouble seems to indeed have presented itself to the knight, as the skies over the Nars pass again grew dark and stormy. Near the bridge, several powerful undead warriors, mummies and skeletons emerged to fight a small group of defenders, the red-headed knight the most prominent of these. Gypsy warrior trainee Lycka and a hin wearing the colours of the Black Sails could be spotted hurrying to Cera's tree, soon thereafter leaving with Jeni for the pass. The three returned a while later alongside Kara, Jeni looking tired and drained.
With a tone of clear admiration, Lycka will readily describe how the valiant lady Kara stood her ground against the numerous foes, all but single-handedly defeating them all._
"There was Kara, surrounded by undead, her sword a blur, a flash of shining light as she struck them down! It was totally -awesome-, and meanwhile me, Aalaril and Elenwyd were trying to fight just the -one- skeletal warrior, who near killed us all! Well, they were trying to fight it.. I mostly ran in circles, screaming at the top of my lungs to be honest."
Lycka smiles a bit sheepishly to her listeners, but adds that everyone from the camp should be wary of travelling alone in light of recent happenings. In the company of her mother, she then leaves for Peltarch and her studies at the Bardic College.
-
On the hill overlooking the camp, a lone knight appears to have taken up a watchful eye in light of the recent troubles the camp has been seeing. Armed with both Bow and a Sword, The Redheaded knight appears to be waiting for any trouble that might present itself.

*Rummors as it that last night in the nars one gipsy guard was found dead by another gipsy guard. The guard hussled back to the Camp to inform his Captain, Aelthas.
Aelthas was sited around the camp fire with some adventurers, Major Kull and Captain William morison of the Legion, Lycka and a Dwarf named Gimly Deathbringer and Tindra (ty for the info sethan) were the ones gathered by the fire whne the guard arrived with the howfull news. Enraged by the sudent information about one of his men death, Aelthas rushed to the nars, after him the adeventurers followed.
Arriving to the crime place, the poor dead guard was indeed found laying flat in the snow with a wound on his back that cracked open his rib cage, carved on his chest a symbol could be seen.
The experienced ranger Captain William morison searched the ground for tracks, and the group folowed. Few kilometers away they stoped when this sinister voice laughed and proposed to them to cut a deal, Deaths would stop if the wanted relic is delivered to the undead warriors.
Such deal was refused by the Adventurers and up one various taunts from the group of adventurers, one undead warriors showed up from thin air.A long battle occured in that place, the brave dwarf by the name Gimly, fell fighting the undead warrior that was blessed by some dark force that granted him power out of the ordinary. The battle was long and harduous, in the midle of the battle the young mage by the name Ronnan showed up alerted by the sounds of battle and war crys from the group of adventurers nad casted the most powerfull spells he knew and downed the undead warrior that was already weakened by the bave warriors.
The brave men and woman carried the Dwarfs and gipsy guard corpse back to the camp to bring them back to life, the dwarf was retured to life with little trouble… but the guards life could not be restored do to the carved evil symbol on his chest, his soul was traped and couldnt be recovered.

_Ragnhild seems very happy to have her "little wolf", as she calls Asha, back home again, feeding her many well-meaning and supposedly strenghtening meals of fresh, if badly charred polar bear steaks and penguin slices. Whether due to the food, to Ragnhild's loving care or to the hilarity of Rhyndar's famed green and pink outfit, Asha could even be seen giggling at the heart fires, a bit of her old self returning then. Though the incident with the recently returned Aelthas seemed to bring the mood down again, both for Asha and Ael, Ragnhild remained in high spirits after defeating Rhyndar in a very close and brutal boxing match.
Over the coming days, black smoke rises from Ragnhild and her daughters tent as the warrioress spends an extraordinary amount of time attempting to cook, often assisted by Asha. Regardless of the questionable quality of food these attempts result in, mother and daughter appear to enjoy the time together, happy giggling drifting from the tent as this dish or that is prepared. Those who plan to attend the upcoming celebration of Lycka's eighteenth birthday might feel a bit nervous at all this cooking, though with any luck, Zyndel will be hired to bake the actual cake.
The birthday girl herself seems to be practically walking on air, sometimes happily twirling her sister or even innocent passers-by around in a little dance when their paths meet. The only thing that even remotely dampens Lycka's spirits is the guard that now seems to linger near Aelthas' tent whenever she joins him there for supper, but aside from a few grumblings she takes that too in her stride.
Lycka cordially invites any and everyone in the camp to the celebration of her birthday, stressing that they don't have to get her any gifts, but stories or songs are always welcome!_

For some reason, Asha punched the commander of the pink armband warriors. Why she got away with it without a beating is probably related to her mother. Whatever the reasons for that punch or fight, it seems Asha has finally recovered from her always-sad mood. It seems more likely, though, that this was due to a chat with Ragnhild, after which the young woman was even seen smiling for a long while. Though it might cause wonder to some people, Asha eats Ragnhild's cooking which is at best an acquired taste with obvious relish. And as there's still a lack of enthusiasm for her training, the girl slowly gains in weight, soon clearly chubby. Asha doesn't seem to care much for that and can be caught giggling or even laughing from time to time again.
-
Asha returned recently to the camp and seems to spend large amounts of time once more hiding away herself and watching people. She seems mostly tired and spent, and goes about most things with a lethargy or apathy that was alien to her before. Those who pay close attention might notice a smile on her face, though, when she watches her sister practically dancing.

The afternoon sun bathes the camp in its golden light as Lycka walks into the camp after her usual lessons at the college. As has been her habit ever since Aelthas' disappearance, she heads straight to his tent to check if he has returned and to tend to that wet stinky dog of his. Spotting the guards and the pile of armour outside the tent, sudden hope lights up her eyes. Lycka approaches the tent cautiously, holding her breath before peering inside, her face growing positively radiant upon finding its owner sleeping there, safe and sound. She sits by the tent while the sun sets over the treetops, and though she tries not to disturb, her soft, happy humming while tending to the fire seems to make Ael stir awake at last. They talk well into the night, until a starry-eyed Lycka at last heads back to her family's tent with light, dancing steps.
-
Charlie sits against a tree nearby. Obviously relieved and equally obviously not planning on letting anyone disturb her father.
-
Raver snorts as one of Ael's men relays his "command", and continues on about her business
Tell the boy that if he asks nicely, I might come visit him after he's had his nap.

_Looking tired and like he has travelled a lot, Aelthas enters the camp after being gone over two months. Strapped to his back is a greatsword that seems to be made of silver, small elvish letters etched upon the blade. His usual clean shaven face now covered by a small beard, his shiney armor dulled and dented as if not taken care of that well in the past few months.
As he makes his way through camp, he stops to talk to some of his men for a short time, his eyes still looking towards his tent as he gives them a small tired nod. When asked where he was, he simply waves a hand and says it is good to be home before continuing on towards his tent.
When he finally gets to his tent, his armor comes off quickly, being put into a messy pile just ouside the tent, his swords just tossed inside carelessly as he collapses to the blanket inside, his wet stinky dog curling up beside him, he is heard yelling to one of the nearby guards._
Get Raver here as soon as possible!
With that he seems to fall asleep immediately, a few of his men walking up near the tent and leaning against trees, maybe waiting for the chance to smack him upside the head for leaving without a word, or maybe there to keep most people from disturbing him.

One afternoon, Zyndel arrives early with a basket full of goodies. She seems to be more relaxed than she normally is. While she is cooking, she sings a soft elven song about the moon, song, and dance. She makes a larger than normal meal of venison roast with potatoes and veggies. While the meal is cooking, she bakes extra bread and around 4 dozen oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
When everything is done, she prepares the basket with plenty of dinner for two, a fresh loaf of bread, and a dozen cookies. The next 2 dozen cookies she wraps in a small package. A small smile crosses her face when she slips the package in her bag. After leaving Aelthas’s dinner as she usually does along with the last of the cookies, she delivers the basket to Will and Raver with a short note of “Thank you again for your kindness”.
While Aelthas is gone, Zyndel continues to cook his dinner making sure that the girls eat at least a little bit of something. She tries to reassure them that Aelthas will be fine and will return home soon. She goes out of her way to make them little cakes and treats to try and keep their spirits up.

_Despite brighter than normal moods in Cherry's demeaneor. heavy concern grows upon her face anytime she or anyone else speaks of Aelthas. It cannot weigh as heavily upon her as it clearly does Lycka and Charlie, but because she considers them best friends, Cherry spends a few of her evenings wih them outside Aelthas' tent. She even gets used to the small that dog, petting off and on once it lets her.
Scruffing her fingers al through the dog's fur, she whispers sometkhing into its ear. Then as if it understood what she whispered, it behaves as a wel-cared for and loved, not-a-care-in-the-world puppy for the time being. It's tail wagging the back end of its body gently, the wet stinky dog of Aeltahs' perhaps goes between the other girls looking for pets and slobbering sintky dog kisses on their faces.
Cherry offers Charlie and Lycka each a hug when she comes tos it with them. Hugsthat oddly offer a renewed sense of hope, ordninary hugs alone don't do that. weird.
Cherry otherwise justs ists there as quietly or as talkitive as the other girls tend to be, getting to pet the stinky dog at times._
-
Charlie reacts in much the same way as Lycka to Aelthas disappearance, and is usually to be found of an evening sitting near his tent and eating the other meal Zyndel prepared. Sometimes the girls exchange words, sometimes they sit in silence.
-
For each day that Aelthas remains gone, Lycka grows visibly more and more anxious. Rumours of his death will invariably bring a deeply stricken look to her face, though she'll dispute such claims fiercely, almost angrily. More than a few of the young woman's evenings are spent sitting and waiting outside Aelthas' tent, her arms often wrapped around the Wet Stinky dog despite the animal's less than appealing scent. Ragnhild seems to allow Lycka her time alone, occasionally stopping by the tent to speak softly or merely squeeze her shoulder. Luckily for both girl and dog, the meals provided by Zyndel are a good enough excuse to decline the warrioress' ill famed polar bear steaks.
