    Accusations dear senator? I was merely talking to myself (read the first post and notice he was talking outloud to himself) and you interrupted me. Sad thing when a man can't talk to himself without being accused by a senator of doing some wrongAnd which law? Well, as I hear it, outside bounties, laws, and group have no enforcement in Norwick land. So essentially, your dear senator placed a bounty on a Norwick Official encouraging people to break the law.

    Wait, that sounds a lot like…the same law that Peltarch is trying to apply now. Odd that? And didn't Peltarch threaten life first?

    So this senator breaks a law in a different town, then expects to enforce their Peltarch laws on them while ignoring the law they broke?

    Look at this way senator perhaps it will be easier to understand. Two men walk down an alley from different directions. The first man tells the second to get out of the way or he will pummel him. The second says no I will pummel you twice as hard. The first man then draws a sword and says he will kill him which the second man does as well in response. The first man then runs and gets the guard and says the other man threatened my life.

    Now senator. Is it right the second man be condemned because the first has friends in the guard?

    Now, if you want to just argue Peltarch law I am all for it. First concept of law is to respect law and have equal applications wouldn't you say?

    In the Magistrate's statement he said

    "The city does not condone nor encourage private vendettas, outlander bloodletting or bounty hunters. "

    Which if I am not mistaken is what the good senator did himself, thusly going against the principles of the City. Yet then you try to enforce the same principles they broke.

    Hopefully you are a man of law. Order brings peace and prosperity. A single individual shouldn't be brandishing bounties about without the approval of the senate. Then to ignore the laws and procedures they broke while enforcing the same on the other?

    Sad times senator. If you will excuse me, I find the City, to cold for my taste right now.

    That is which law in Peltarch, for that is where the crime occurred. As stated by the miltia of Norwick they do not recognise any communication in regards to judicial matters.

    So if there is no such recognised channel and agreements with regards extradition of criminals tis impossible to speak through said channels…

    But if thou wish to level a breach of law thou shouldst speak with the magistrate rather than throw accusations in the street.

    And dear senator, did the senator making the original bounty top to consider they broke a Norwick law by placing a bounty on a Norwick official? Did yet again the City even bother to contact the Norwick authorities about their concerns?

    Like I said, sounds like a personal grievance to me as I can't imagine trying to enforce a law condemning a man which the accusers broke themselves.

    If the senator in question would of followed the law, he would of gone thru channels. They didn't. Makes you wonder why one man can break a law and be condemned and another not even have a word said to?

    Bounties or threats from other cities or organizations hold no water here in Norwick.

    Should the accused be arrested in Peltarch, you can do what you wish to him. While he is in Norwick, the bounty is meaningless. We have no such extradition agreements with Bard Town.

    I would be more than willing to host a duel between the Senator and the accused, under Norwick Militia control of course.

    Anyone seeking to fulfill this bounty within Norwick territory (anywhere south of Sam the Badger's Hill) will be prosecuted according to Norwick law.

    Rando is banned from this city, he didst threaten violence upon a senator.
    He was granted an amnesty by another senator to attend the recent festival upon certain requirements. He was accused that he didst break his word and the provisions set to regularise his visit. Whence such didst occurr he was to be arrested to ascertain his guilt in the matter at hand. He then didst post bounty with no regard for laws breached.

    At this point he is declared a criminal, and as such treated as one.

    Now if we wert to be barbaric we wouldst follow Rando's lead and hit anything that disagrees with us, since however we believe in the rule of law, we followed the law of the city….I do hope this clears up any misunderstandings or misdirection afoot. Any questions?

    So..let me get this straight…...

    A single senator sets a bounty on an outsider. The outsider sets a bounty on him. Neither want the other dead.

    Sounds simple enough.

    Then the City gets offended and offers a murder bounty on the outsider dead or alive. So the city is now threatening death on another town's officer. So the outsider then makes the same bounty on the city.

    So now the city is clamoring about this wrong and that stating laws to kill the outsider.

    Does this make ANY sense to anyone? A single senator started this, the city made the first threat. And the City is now claiming the high moral ground?

    I think it is time the citizens stood up against the mockery these senators are making of the Jewel of all Cities. This is supposed to be the center of civil behavior, a city of enlightenment, not a barbarian village where the senators run amok.

    Seems to me, the sensible thing to do is have this senator who started this mess and this outsider go out and have a nice duel to settle their differences because frankly, I don't see why the City needs brought into what is obviously a personal issue.

    The Magistrate Barrim makes a statement for the official record.

    The individual known as Rando is now to be considered an enemy of the City for his continual threats and conspiracy to murder.

    Under Statute 1.03: Conspiracy to Commit a Murder - One who does not participate directly
    in a murder, but help plots or mastermind it, is in violation of the law.

    I invoke the right of the legal authority of the city to place a warrant upon the arrest of rando for detention to face trial and public execution if found guilty.

    The extent of the offence, threatening and proposing death of peltarch senators merits the harshest offence if found guilty.

    All posessions will be confiscated by the Guard and the Legal Institutions of the City upon Rando's arrest. He is to be apprehended alive preferably to face public execution if he resists arrest. If he does not resist arrest he will be given a fair trial under the law.

    The city does not condone nor encourage private vendettas, outlander bloodletting or bountyhunters. All military and official authority of the city are asked to assist in this warrent immediatley.

    I also ask all allied and local factional forces, militia and military friendlly to the cause of justice to bring this individual to peltarch's custody with all haste. The city of Peltarch long remembers its friends and alliances and let us not give those who countenance murder to run free in our lands.

    It is also added that if anybody can provide evidence of individuals planning or attempting harm to Senator Brymor or any other senator, there is a bounty of 5000gp.

    Anybody attempting to collect Rando's bounty, will face the full extent of Peltarch law.
