Character: SarvalosThe wind howled at his back and he pulled his cloak tightly around himself, the winds bite had gotten worse the past few nights, which meant one of two things. One he was closer to his destination and Two if he didnt get their soon he would be hard pressed to last many more nights with the Temperature dropping so quickly. He gritted his teeth and continued his journey down the beaten path that lead north towards the region Known as Narfell. He had not come this far to be beaten by the cold chill of the North. Thus far his journey had met little resistance and that pleased Sarvalos, for the wilderness was not a place he was comfortable in, he made his living on the busy streets of Cities much larger than the ones he was heading to and while he could survive in some of the most cut throat and dangerous areas most cities would have to offer using his senses, wits and cunning but out in the wilderness his skills were less useful, he would be hard pressed to run into battle against even the smallest of Goblinkind. Sarvalos pressed on through the night untill he finally came upon the huge mountain range known as the giantspires, he was not far now, he knew his journey to be less then a few days away and decided it best to find a place within the range where he could perhaps set up a camp away from the cold biting wind. He searched for a while and eventually came upon a suitable little cave in a tiny cove of rocks, estatic on his luck of finding such a great location away from the elements he began setting up his camp, lying out his bedroll and prepping a fire to keep warm.
Not so far off in the distance a large Winter Wolf had picked up his scent, he had been stalking Sarvalos know for a few hours and had been biding his time for the best chance to strike out and grab a quick meal, he had watched from a safe distance as the Human sought refuge within the tiny cave and it was only a matter of time now before the Wolf would make its move, it was getting dark…
Sarvalos finished off some rations and through a few more pieces of wood on his fire in hopes it would keep burning for most of the night, he blew gently on the coals and they began sparking once again producing large flames and warming the small cave nicely, Sarvalos smiled to himself and thought his journey to be almost over, but then without warning his tiny cave seemed to get Colder, the fire suddenly withered and then died out altogether, Sarvalos quickly looking to the ground sees his two blades sheathed and lying next to his bedroll and swallows hoping he wont have to use them and this is just a freak act of nature, but his fears are realized when in the distance he hears the crunching of snow, Sarvalos peers out the entrance to his cave and just catches two icey blue eyes reflecting towards him from the moonlight, Knowing he is in trouble he makes an instinctive roll for his blades, luckily his roll was just in time as the creature now known to Sarvalos as a large winter Wolf unleashed a large cone of his icey breath just missing Sarvalos and splashing up against the cold stone wall of the cave, Sarvalos unsheathed his blades and rushed toward the beast, Not sure if he would complete his journey or not.
