    Character Name: Lucien Lachance

_Lucien used the shadows to conceal himself, he swiftly moved about the nobles home, pilfering whatever caught his eyes as something he could return to his fence later. He had not come for common trinkets however, he was searching for something. He moved through the rooms with as much ease as the wind, his keen senses always on he came upon a large office of sorts, lined wall to wall with tomes and other books of knowledge, Lucien fingered the spines of some of the books reading over some of the titles in his head, He had suspected he would find a lever within one of the books perhaps one that would reveal the location of the true treasure he sought, however while looking over the books one in particular seemed to catch his eye, he slowly pulled it from the shelf, an Old mages tome on Illusionary magic he gathered, Lucien always intrigued by the arcane decided to place the book in his magic bag of holding and continue his search.

It only took him a few more moments to find what he was indeed looking for, an odd looking book that didnt seem to fit the rest of the look, he attempted to pull the book out from the case when he heard a click sound from his rear, Lucien turned and a sly smile came across his face, for he saw the bookshelve move away from itself revealing a single chest sitting in a tiny nook. Lucien approached cautiously scanning for trip lines and pressure plates, confident there were none he approached the large Iron lock fastened onto the chest and pulled out a set of the tools of his trade and began fidgeting with the lock, listening carefully to determine the correct path in unlocking it. In a few moments he heard a clicking sound and the heavy lock began to fall to the floor, before it landed on the ground Lucien's hand darted forth grabbing the heavy lock and aiding in its gentle decent to lessen any noise.

Lucien stood with excitement as he prepared to lift the large chect open, and see what lay within, he was not dissapointed as many magical trinkets, artifacts and gems laid within, Lucien thinking he had all the time in the world to look over each fine item was almost caught off guard, but his Keen senses once more came through as the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, he smartly decided to to a quick defensive roll out of the nook and to the left, and just in time as a crackling sound of a bolt of lightning sped past smashing the top of the chest into a million splinters. Lucien now turned and facing his assailant recognized him as the owner of the house a mage of some reknown, and he was standing in the doorway blocking the only exit. Lucien was trapped and by the smirk on the mages face he knew that much as well, the mage began muttering another incantation and whirling his hands about manipulating the weave, lucien not knowing what to do grabbed a large book from the mages desk and tossed it at him, the mage dodged the book disrupting the spell and putting an angry scowl on his face, Lucien smiled and began whirling books and a frantic pace, the Mage took a second to duck into the hallway after the first barrage of books flew in his direction and this gave Lucien the chance he needed, he dove toward the chest and grabbed at one of the scrolls within the chest, not exactly knowing what it did exactly but assuming it to be of importance if it was locked up tight he begane speaking following what was on the Scroll, Lucien had quite the love affair with the arcane so he knew quite a bit for one who never studied formally and he managed to puull off the spell and with as the mage once again stepped into the doorway he was met with a blast of several colorful beams of light, Mostly covered in a bright blue color of the light Lucien was happy to see nothing more than a Stone statue of the mage once the magical lights had dissapeared, with a smile and a sigh of relief Lucien slumped his back on the chest to rest, only momentarily however, cause now he DID have all the time to peruse the mages goods_
