  • Traitorist Act - Betraying the City of Jiyyd by giving information,
    aiding, or conspiring with an enemy faction of the city is a violation
    of the law.
    -Recommended Sentence: Ban and public punishment/Death

    Premeditated Murder - Plotting and executing a plan to kill a person
    is a violation of the law.
    -Recommended Sentence: Banned and public punishment/Death

    Non-Premeditated Murder - Killing a person without premeditation but
    with intent to kill is a violation of the law.
    -Recommended Sentence: Banned and public punishment/Death

    Conspiracy to Commit a Murder - One who does not participate directly
    in a murder, but help plots or mastermind it, is in violation of the
    law.
    -Recommended Sentence: Banned and public punishment/Death

    Involuntary Murder - Killing a person by inflicting harm upon them,
    without intent to kill, is a violation of the law.

    Negligent Murder - To act without regard for a person's safety and, in
    doing so, directly cause their death is a violation of the law.
    -Recommended Sentence: Banned and public punishment/Death

    Attempted Murder - One who plans on murdering a person, but is stopped
    before they can do so, is in violation of the law.
    -Recommended Sentence: Banned with public punishment

    Necromancy - Individuals found practicing Necromancy, including
    the reanimation of the dead, corpse theft, or magic acts that utilize
    the dead.
    -Recommended Sentance: Banned

    Kidnapping - Kidnapping a person against their will is a violation of
    the law.
    -Recommended Sentence: Banned and public punishment

    Assault - Intentionally harming another person is a violation of the
    law.
    -Recommended Sentence: Public punishment

    Theft or Destruction of Jiyyd Property - Taking or destroying property owned by the Council or fair citizens of our town is a violation of the law.
    -Recommended Sentence: The right hand on the thief will be severed and a fine.

    Fraud - An intentional perversion of the truth, in order to induce
    another to part with something of value or to surrender a legal right,
    is a violation of the law.
    -Recommended Sentence: Public punishment and fine.

    Trespassing - To enter a private area without permission from the owner is a violation of the law. For businesses and shops, permission is
    assumed to be granted for the storefront area unless the owner informs
    the individual otherwise, in which case the person must leave and not
    return to the private area without permission.
    -Recommended Sentence: Public punishment/Fine

    By Order of the town Council, preaching, teaching or speaking the names
    of known Evil Gods shall NOT be permitted within the walls of Jiyyd. Those
    who do not heed this town ordinance shall be banned from the town of Jiyyd. NO EXCEPTIONS.

    Those who worship in silence and not within the walls of Jiyyd are still welcome to spend time here if you so choose, as long as you can obey the Ordinance. The Council will not address your concerns regarding
    this matter so do not attempt to seek council. Their is enough evil
    within the lands of Narfell and Jiyyd will not fall prey to those with evil
    intent.
    Our children will not be corrupted or influenced by such individuals.
    There are exceptions with regard to education but if you are a follower and believer to a God of evil intent, then your words are not welcome.

    Furthermore from this point on all Banites to be banned fomr town due
    to some of their factions attacks on our city.

    Elementals:
    No elementals permitted in town until further notice. Those who choose to ignore this will be banned from town until it is deemed that they are no threat.

    Public punishments may include and are not restricted to, flogging, stocks, imprisonment and stoning.



  • Just an update to keep in tune with the militia additions. Since Jiyyd is still a lawful town, this would be public knowledge.

    When fines are exacted and cannot be paid for, the set jailtime for the offense will be doubled. In case no jailtime is set, this will translate for IC 1 day of jail for every 50GP of fines overdue._

    Uncontrolled Animals
    An person is responsible for the acts of the animal that he/she brings into the town of Jiyyd. Disregard of or inability to control the animal resulting in damage to property or persons is a violation of the law. The same extends to creatures being summoned within the town's borders.

    **Council Decrees regarding the Town Watch

    Resisting a lawful arrest by the militia
    Resisting a lawful arrest is in violation of the law. If you are being charged of a crime you did not commit, then you must still adhere to the proceedings of the militia, and appeal your case to the Council. When there is doubt, resisting an arrest will be taken as a sign of guilt.

    • Recommended Sentence: For all offenses, loss of weapon.
    • Militia Rights: Execute arrest as per the original crime.

    Fleeing an arrest from the militia
    Resisting an arrest and fleeing, resulting in the need of pursuit by the militia, is in violation of the law.

    • Recommended Sentence: For all offenses, loss of weapon. Double the sentence.
    • Militia Rights: Execute arrest as per the original crime. Double the jailtime/fines.

    Disobeying a reasonable request from militia
    The militia is entrusted with keeping the peace within the town of Jiyyd. Henceforth, violating a reasonable request from the militia, is in violation with the law.
