    Robert was born to a average couple of farmers who had a small patch of land and two cows, just enough to get by. Praying to Chauntea and farming land, milking cows, finding a nice girl and then starting to farm land together … this would've been Robert's future. Probably would have been if a travelling booksalesman hadn't convinced him to buy a few books on the exploits of famous heroes such as the Companions of the Hall.

    After many late nights of reading and re-reading the books and thinking about the life of an adventurer Robert decided that farming wasn't his thing, in fact it was dull, boring, repetitive, unrewarding and .. did I mention dull? One night he took with him his set of panpipes (which he could play with remarkable skill despite not having had any formal training), a few days worth of food and his savings along with a coin he had gotten from a wandering priestess of Tymora. So snuck away in search of adventure, relying only on luck, his skill and .. did I mention luck?
