Guards have been placed near the mines


  • A small contingent of well trained guards, along with a black robed individual holding a back disk, is seen stationed in front of the mine entrance often. They stop and arrest anyone that is no blooded entering unless escorted by a blooded. If the same blooded is escorting people routinely however, it will likely be reported

    ((Simply put, if you're not Oscuran you shouldn't be walking through the underhalls. The guards would see the mine open, the cleric has invis purge on, don't do it. ))


  • Yes it is in effect, more likely so near the gates. No nonblooded is to be allowed in without a blooded as a chaperone.

    For anyone that's not been there.

    Oscura is kind of like the Camp used to be. The main place you get to walking through th sandy cavern and through the raven's rift is the upper city. You all are welcome to go around there, just keep to the laws, don't misbehave, etc 😉 That's not the problem.

    The problem is the lower city, which is accessed one of two ways. One is through a cave INSIDE oscura. This brings you to a gate that is locked and you and has guards on it and can't get through without the proper item. This generally isn't the problem.

    The second way is through certain caverns that lead to the mines of Oscura. I'm not going to give you the exact ones, but you'll know it if you come out in mines or out into an area labeled as "Oscura".

    THAT is where the guards would stop you. So basically, if you go through a certain hostile area, into the mines of oscura, and then into the undercity…the guards would stop you. If you do it by mistake, I personally have no problem with you just going OOCly: "Oh crap, didn't realize this was it" and turn around and go back out the way you came. ::shrugs:: DM's can comment differently there.

    So i don't think you did anything wrong, as I don't think you probably went through the spawns to the undercity and you wouldn't be able to get past the gate to it on the other side 🙂 ))

    (Jeez, there should be a gate or something, I went and visited every single home of Oscura yesterday. No worries, I'll consider the trip ooc.)
