The story of Vash.

  • _The wind blew on a cold winter afternoon across the Nars, causing the snow to dance and cyclone across the path.

Vash was fairly tall, about 5' 10" with long, flowing white hair and a slightly tanned skin tone. He is rather muscular and wears a hooded robe with a greatsword sheathed on his back. He was 28 years old now, and from the look in those cool, blue eyes of his, he was looking for a fight.

He stood there, his greatsword in hand, prepared to fight alongside his father Solomon and his two older brothers Mard and Justil. The Eastlanders had assaulted their home once, there were not going to do so again. Vash was not really his name, but Solomon took it upon himself to name the child that was found on his doorstep one cold night 27 years ago.

Vash snapped from the flashback and spotted the regular patrol of Eastlanders approaching from the North. It was smaller than the normal patrol that usually came this way. 'All the better' Vash thought. Once spotted, the Eastlanders approached unknowing of the group's intentions. The patrol consisted of two human rogues, a human fighter, and a human mage with a strange tattoo of a dragon wrapped in thorns on his right arm_

"Wot ye think yer doin' around 'ere?" The fighter asked, obviously the antagonist of the group.

"This is my land, and I demand you leave us be or we will have to use force to remove you. Your kind already has assaulted my home once, you will not get away with another attack." Solomon responded fiercefully.

The Eastlanders laughed and spat in Solomon's face. Taken aback by their brash decision, Solomon readied his rapier and pierced through the fighter's abdomen, sending him to the ground with a dumbfounded look on his face

"You will regret this decision old man" The mage said and made an attacking gesture with his hands.

_With that, more bandits appeared from the surrounding hills and made their way torwards the small group

The fight was abrupt, leaving all the bandits slaughtered but one. The strange mage still stood.

He grinned and said_ "I've had enough of this horseplay." _And with that he wove his hands in a spherical formation, causing a ball of fire to sail torwards Solomon and Mard. The blast left them badly wounded on the ground. Vash and Justil charged the mage but when they approached they were struck back by a powerful force. The mage wove his hands again and send out a brilliant flash and force from his palm, blinding and knocking out Vash as he lay dazed from the last attack.

When he came to, Vash was surrounded by blackness. He felt the area around him and recognized the cold, lifeless body that lay next to him. It was Justil, his oldest brother. An overwhelming greif set over him and he began to scream and shout the names of his brothers and father, knowing there would be no response. He felt around for the bodies of his father and other brother Mard, but could only find the body of his father Solomon, flesh seared away by what felt like another explosion some time ago. Mard's body was gone.

Afraid the Eastlanders may catch him off guard, Vash crawled and felt his way around the Nars for what felt like several days before ending up in Jiyyd. He has spent the last few months fine tuning his senses until now he is able to do everything as if he still had sight. The attack had left Vash blind and made what were stunningly blue eyes into colorless, white eyes. He walks through Jiyyd with his hood up to avoid drawing attention to his abnormal eyes. Vash usually remains silent, sitting hood up and leaning on his greatsword carefully observing his surroundings through feeling the wind of a passerby, the sounds of the area, and the smell of nearby friends and foes. He has recently joined the Troff Legion to seek revenge on the mage who took his family away and left him blinded. He also seeks knowledge on what happened to his brother Mard, and if he is still alive. Until that day, Vash will fight for honor and justice, his blade craving the blood of the one who took his life away._
