Test of the Loyal Fury

PC Name: Darius Durano::The dawn broke and night became morning, it was a cool spring morning and the City of Tantras was abuzz. Darius awoke from his slumber not really feeling any differnt then he had when he went to bed, but today would mark the beginning of the rest of his life.::
"Darius! Darius!, your not outta bed yet? you lazy sod, how you ever going to serve the Loyal fury from your back?"
::Darius wiped the sleep from his eyes and looked at his younger brother, Javon. Javon was 4 winters younger than Darius but the age gap never seemed to keep the two apart.::
"Ugh, Javon you coulda given me a few more minutes, Im not due to take the Oath til mid-day."
::Javon excitably bouncing about the room, pulling open curtains as he continues to speak.::
"Pa wants to see you well before that, he sent me to fetch you!"
::Darius just sighs sitting upright in his bed.
"Fine, Fine, go tell him I'll be a few minutes and I will head down to see him soon as I am done my morning prayers."
::With that Javon left Darius to his prayers and the young man recited his daily prayer to Torm, upon its completion he slid on a pair of clean under garments and the outfit set aside by his familes butler. Shortly after he departed down to the his fathers sitting room.::
"Ah, Darius, glad you finally decided to grace us with your presence, I have something for you, before you head off to the Order for your oath."
::His father walks to his armor stand and places his hand on the armor and then turns back to his eldest::
"I would like you to have this, the family armor, may it protect you in your battles against the evils that ravage the realms."

::Mid-day comes, and Darius now wearing his Families armor arrives at the Temple to take his vows, a few other youthful men and women are also present, awaiting their turn to take the oath and begin their penance of duty, after a few others were summoned to the Shrine to Torm, Darius is summoned, he approaches the shine and does as he has been prepared to do for nearly all of his eighteen winters. He kneels before the altar and recites the following::
"I Darius Durano, shall always love Torm, the Loyal Fury God with all my heart and follow his edicts as I have been taught, I shall give alms to the poor as I am able to do so, as well I shall offer hospitality to those who require it and heal those who are ill, I shall be merciful to prisoners and allow them the security I would give my family while in my custody, I shall do ill to no man, nor consent unto such, for the receiver is as bad as the thief, I shall forgive as you hope to be forgiven, and seek to redeem those whom can be redeemed, I shall help the oppressed, and defend the cause of the widow and the orphan, I shall make it my place to render righeous judgment and justice to those who deserve such, I will not willingly consent to commit any wrongs, I shall perservere in the name of the Loyal Fury, not in wrath but as part of my duty, I will not give in to the temptations of the drink or over indulge in food, for there are those who could better use such, I shall be humble in my actions and kind to those in passing, I shall serve my Church and those my Church calls friend with the same loyalty, I shall not steal nor shall I pergure myself or allow others the chance to do so, I shall be mindful of Envy, Hatred and volence and not allow them to cloud my path, I shall defend my church, my god and his edicts and ideals with my life."
::After speaking his oath, he rises a Paladin in service to Torm, he then exits the altar room and speaks to the High Priest, The High priest looks over a scroll and then looks down to Darius::
"Ah, Darius Durano, seems your penance of duty will be undertaken in the realm of Narfell, you are to head north within the tenday, seek out the Order of the Divine Shield, for you are charged with aiding them in the removal of the evil taints of Banite and Cyricist Cults of the realm."
::Darius simply nods at his task and departs, preparing himself for the journey to come::
