March of the Past

  • As day break broke the past day in Norwick numerous adventurer's would've been seen by those gathered on the hill, streaming into the gates, running double time.

For the most part, they were ignored. The observers eyes were instead turned towards old Norwick. The shaking tremors had persisted all through the night, with the longest, most horrendous coming just before day break. Now, upon the horizon, they saw hundreds of goblins, bugbears, and even giants rise up from the ground. Some were missing arms, others half a head, and all were wreathed in the purest black shadows.

The creatures turned, their eyes not northward towards the gate but south towards the rawlins, and in unison began their march. Some with staunch eyes swear they saw the strangest thing leading them; a gaseous, cloudy mist almost in the outline of a man, swirling in a deep purple and black.
