Rugg smokes on his pipe and ponders the situation a while
Et' seems ta' me that et' least now thar' will nay be need fer a trial or such nonsense. Dem' longleggers be a murderous lot o' cutthroat villians an' deserve no quarter. Ah find et' odd how folk think that they can apply civil punishment ta' folk who can nay understand et' an think et' will somehow make a diff'ernce' for the folk of the town.
Jus' lop off dem heads and burn their bodies and sink the ash into the sea. Then we wont be seein' them bootlicker thugs again.
::snorts::
Goes off to the craft hall in order to sharpen his axe

Jerr had been very sombre when the topic of the execution had come up. "It reminds me of when Norwick tried to execute someone using blasting kegs. For civilised societies we seen to excel at finding the most barbaric ways of 'proving' we are better than the guilty. A clean axe, even poison would be preferable. Stoning spreads the guilt of this barbarity across all of the populace that is involved."
He sighs
"So they escaped, leaving a trail of bodies behind? Is anyone surprised? But I'd love to know what the guards who were raised had to say about it. Were they struck by the prisoners or something that rescued the prisoners? Next time we might want to arrange for a barrier that is blessed to keep out any extraplanar beasts from supporting the Banites. The duel in the pass that Nicholai had was proof enough that the Banites DO have some backing from something, or someone."
"Next time, a quick axe."

((one Banite was still in the cell))
-
The previously puffy faced Nicahh, whom many had commented seems to be showing signs of grief when she had heard of the priest's death, seems no longer to be crying. Not only is she not crying, but she has been seen making inquires about the bounty upon his head.

_*General Lyte uses her keys to unlock the heavy outer Legion Hall door, and another for the warded hallway metal inner door, a third for the locked and double guarded cellblock portcullis, to discover the dead guards and the empty still locked warded main cell in this heavy, stone structure.
She sits dazedly on the prisoner's bunk for a while, wondering about the whole point of doors and wards, when a mage could just teleport into a place he had never been, and she wracks her brain trying to figure out how this same apparent mage was able to teleport all the murderers things out of Grag's backpack. She wonders if the General's collection of ladies undergarments are missing as well.
She thinks about Captain Rolan falling to these evil banites, of the training he will need to do to gain back his strength, as they walk free and unscathed, and of the completely pointless death of the brave guard at the gate who was just trying to do his job and stop the criminals from entering gentle Jiyyd.
All this mayhem for what? And then, after their dimwitted crimes in broad daylight, the villains are captured, and stowed in the securist facility in the region.
Escape to her had seemed ridiculously impossible.
She would have prefered to have simply seen the banites killed on the spot, once their guilt was established. Stoning seemed cruel and unnecessary to her, it was a town council created law seemingly designed to impress, rather than be just, and as things turned out, the delay resulted in the deaths of more innocent folks, now, with the criminal's magically enhanced escape.
The young General bows her head in thought a while more, and, fetching a few of the score of Legion Soldiers always on duty in the premises, she goes about the sad task of taking the fallen guards to Vroka for ressurection.
Before today, she had not witnessed first hand Zanetar's deeds. Now, slapped into realization, this Bushi of the Lady of the Wood would add his name prominately in a small black book she carried, and she would never forget it.
Justice would come to these murderous banites, she thought.
Just not today.*_

Hours before the execution was scheduled, Grag visited the Banites in their cells. Zanetar was – mysteriously -- breathing again. They'd have tied him up and stoned him even if he was already dead from some unknown asfixiation, but stoning someone who is alive is always nicer, right?
A short while later, the prison guards were found dead with terrified looks on their faces, and Santos, Nickolai, and Zanetar had vanished.

//Dang it. The 12:01 AM Wed thing threw me off. To me, that's Tues. at midnight. I thought it was going on tonite. Oh bother… I wanted to participate.

- Milla can be seen wandering in the dark corners of Jiyyd, her face hidden under her hood.
As the people starts gathering around, she is seen walking away from town. *

A lone red head stands amongst the crops of the Sisterhood farm holding a letter sealed with the Legion stamp, smiling to herself. Looking up from her reading as a man approaches her, he tells of the priest's death. The smile fades as she drops the letter and slowly makes her way back into the house, her mumbling softly.
"But…I had something to say to him..."
-
Mark, spending a lot of time in and around Jiyyd again, frowns deeply at the news and murmurs, partly to himself
They had it coming… the way they fought the undead, they deserve something better than this though.
I will not touch a stone.

Rhoni hears the rumors as it spreads outside Jiyyd. With a satisfied smile he goes about his business. Businesses he finds in the dark corners of Narfell.
-
As soon as hearing what is happening a large manin black and gold armor turns livid, and stalks away from the coincul building seeming to be hunting down Grag with a scrowl on his face
-
Sara has begun gathering the sharpest rocks she can find.
Ezachiel is saying prayers to Bane in his cell, for those heathens who would strike down Banites to be smiten from this world.
Belade says that she would prefer an execution by sword or hanging, because stoning is too…uncivilised.
-
_Zanetar has become very, very still in his cell…
In fact, he seems to have stopped breathing._
-
_To those that would visit the banites take note of the dread knights features, he wears an eerie smile on his face… His eyes are closed as he awaits the inevitable.
"If death is what The Dark Lord wishes, I will fall."_

((wednesday is tomorrow.))
Chaevre' hears of the public 'stoning' of the banites and her lip curls into a grin, she may be considering making an appearance
-
((i was at jiyyd at this time but nothing happening ))

Nicahh listens to the announcement then turns, leaving Jiyyd, her face pale and placid.
