Jiyyd Rumors

  • Jerr has been seen looking very glum indeed. He has been asking any and all if they have seen his armor. It seems he removed it to do some cooking and laid it to one side and now does not know where it is.

Custom colors and special enchantements in it may make it a tempting prize for an enterprising thief but Jerr seems morre worried about what happens to such a person if . . . others . . .find out that the armor is in the possession of one to whom it does not belong.

  • A large pack of wolves recently came running through Jiyyd, causing a bit of a stir. Though seemingly benign, the pack surrounded a young woman clad in black and proceeded to lick her quite thoroughly. It is speculated that the unfortunate girl might have had bacon in her pockets, but regardless of the reason behind the canine attention, the woman was nowhere to be seen after the pack left town and headed out into the Nars. Only far later did she reappear, sitting in the Inn drinking some heavy duty liquor with a male companion.

  • @9b2341aa29=strepsiades:

Sir Roland is seen at the site of Talgris' grave, surrounded by a group of Defenders and Divine Shield knights. He examines the ground around the greatsword, frowning deeply. With a tired sigh, he turns to his guards and murmurs:

    "Dig him up."

Jerr or some of the other sisters request that the Defenders refrain from grave robbing in braod daylight and at least have the courtesy to speak to the sisters before 'digging him up'. A proper funeral WAS given for the warrior and the ground IS consecrated. Is it the intention of the guard to defame this holy ground?

They are pointed in the direction of Nicahh, Amith (who officiated at the funeral) or Jerr.

  • Rumors spread like wildfire that the pink-haired bard, Penny, has recently undergone some sort of alarming transformation of appearance. What appears to be a brilliant prismatic tattoo now curves across her forehead, around her left eye, down her cheekbone, and spirals loosely around her neck before disappearing into her clothing. Several of her outfits reveal that this tattoo continues its spiral pattern across her torso and abdomen. The more unusual of these rumors seems to indicate that the pattern isn't a tattoo at all, but rather, a continuous patch of brightly reflective scales.

  • The townsfolk whisper about how the somewhat excentric young bard Elor, spending a moonlit night talking to the pond. The conversation seems to have
included talk of "their son", and the it seems that Elor and the pond may have had a romantic history..

  • Shannon visits the grave by the Sisterhood and silently empties an entire flask of hard liquor on the grave, bows his head, then leaves.

  • _Those that pass close to the Sisterhood may notice a small grave that lies next to the woods, the grave is marked with a finely crafted great sword in the ground. Nicahh is seen standing near the grave off and on, softly speaking "Pira?" as if she is looking for someone.

Rumor spreads a man of Tempus by the name of Talgris had fallen in defense of the crimson haired woman and she had brought him home to bury him._

  • Though he insists wolf stay far from Jiyyd, Raryldor also insists on a peaceful solution. To those vigilantes that decide to attack wolf on principle, he simply states that those who live by the sword die by it, and that he is more than willing to take in payment a head for anyone that lays a finger in harm of the possessed innocent. Those that mock and insult him over it, he keeps a careful eye on, but otherwise ignores.

  • Wolf appears to be returning to normal. He stood in town, with no weapons or armor on. He completely disarmed himself. There have been no reports of attacks by the druid for a while. Perhaps the evil has left him?

  • People say that a crazy mage in black clothes, wearing a skull helmet, ran around town during an orc attack, casting spells on people (Firebrand, Fireball and Fear for those who would recognise them)

He later ran away with a group of defenders chasing him, but went invisible.

  • General Lyte describes strange arcing lights across the night sky recently, and the bombardment by cylindrical explosive devices of the gates of both the Keep and the Temple just north of Norwick.

Apparently there were two deaths related to this attack.

She also mentions someone found a note condemning folks worshipping gods and using magic, and mentioning a new "age of iron".

It is rumored that one of these strange metalic bombs was found and recovered intact.

  • Our general store manager of jiyyd, unexpectedly placed 3 kegs into the center of a group of people talking, lighting them. The crowd dispersed, but the manager stayed to get blown to smithereens.

    Motives unknown.

A guard is posted outside his shop to stop any would be thieves from looting the place.

  • _Words of acts of genocide at an outpost located at the ColdStone mountains is being passed to the people of Jiyyd.

Apparently, it was discovered by an adventuring party who was sent by an assistant from "Rare and Exotic Goods" shop to check on the status of the Outpost. There are no survivors to be found from the post event and the adventurers return to Jiyyd with a disturbed look on their faces for some.

One particular silver haired man wears an haunted expression as well as one who carries a heavy burden.

The speculation for the cause of the genocide has been confusing. Some says it was by the machinists, the other by an entirely different cult who worship machines._

  • The Gates of Jiyyd are once again Bathed in blood. Guards are seen dragging countless Destroyers and Crushers off to be burned. Equinox Stargazer could be seen congratulating the Dwarf Tolin on his fine use of the haste spell during the recent battle.

  • Hearing of the assault by the golem on the Sisterhood, Dentin sets off to find Sisters and answers.

  • Jiyyd was recently awash with black and gold as several members of the Black Sails held an impromptu meeting in the village. Spirits were high, but the combination of lewd and raucous dwarven singing and a striking pair of orcish Hot Pants proved too much for the nearby orcs and hobgoblins who launched a brief assault to break up the party.

  • Word spreads of a gigantic golem that was spotted ripping chunks off the back of the Sisterhood building. A large, presumed to be half orc man, was seen tracking after the creature, him carrying a glowing trident that called forth lightening and a water elemental. The man was heard warning the local citizens that the golem was damn near impossible to kill and could only be damaged by acid. He was also seen tromping off to the woods after the creature had left the Sisterhood. He only identified himself as the "Hunter" of the creature.

  • A few boxes were positioned during midnight infront of the spider caves, but were removed under the veil of darkness shortly thereafter.
