Jiyyd Rumors
-
The familiar face of a yound elven lass who seemed to spend the great majority of her time in Jiyyd is now gone, as is the annoying blue creature that followed her.
-
Lope mutters, "I thought they'd banned the open worship of evil gods in Jiyyd? My mistake, I guess."
-Lagermane
-
A man with an expressionless visage and reddish skin was seen blessing hunters in Jiyyd proper. He was heard calling upon a god of the hunt, and of slaughter, and his prayers involved minor but startling blood sacrifice.

_Rumor spreads that Jiyyd is the second largest rumormill in the lands of Narfell, surpassed only by the great city of Peltarch. It is commonly agreed however, that considering the difference in population between the mighty Jewel of the Icelace, and the humble Commonwealth, Jiyyd is currently the center of Narfell's latest news. It is a title well agreed upon by the commoners, who have always prided their concerns for the world around them.
A new rumor quickly spreads thereafter that Maria Otarch has ordered a new dress in Peltarch, and that this would surely be a cause of disagreement between herself and Anadra Dy'nesencia , proprietor of the Wayfarer's Garb. It is said that Saline, the servant who tends at Lens's home, would know more on this, and further whispers quickly spread about an incident involving afternoon tea and salt.
As well, one of the farmers who usually tends fields outside of the walls, is seen making a mad dash out of the Regal Whore, followed up to the gates by a madly screaming Myrie, waving a pan high above her head. The cook is said to have been thrown in a fit of rage for complaints about the lack of meat in her stews, shouting that "the next time it'll be yer bones in me dish!"_
-
One or two farmers close to the town center are seen complaining in the Regal Whore about an outgrowth of blight upon some of their crops. As for the Regal Whore itself, little besides soup is being served, as the meat they had in storage had "grown a bit fuzzy on the edges" says a whistful owner.
A couple patches of grass have turned sickly yellow and died behind the benches, and then leading in a direct line to the western gate.
-
Word spreads along the crafter's grapevine that Dentin is looking to hire a non-union miner…
-
Stange rumors speak of a cow that was dead yet walking right towards some adventurers at the cookpot. There's some talk of the cow exploding and spraying gore over all those in the area. Later it seems, the remains of the cow were burned.
-
General Grag is seen by many with a smile on his face walking Milshot chancelor of Norwick and Lucidius out to the edge of Jiyyd jurisdiction milshot seemed to be in a good mood as well..
-
Early the next morning, Kara is seen entering the west gates with polished and neatly attired armour as she approaches and disappears into the Council building for a time to speak with Just'ene. Sometime later, she is seen to be leaving the council building with a satisfied expression.
-
Fetishes hanging from his armor (that looks like it was once the shell of some giant insect) the Featherflight shaman stepped through the missing gates of the town and took one look about. He was flanked by three cold eyed tracker who examined the grounds of the oft travelledroad before tunring back out to the long road. One of them spoke softly to the shaman, shaking his head and pointing to the ground. Even with the early morning lighting a few people had passed by. The shaman frowns and follows his hunters not saying a word to any of the guards but looking ready to strike in any direction.

A frantic druid could be seen late one night running around the east road to ompur amassing a Animal army to take on the beasts from the east that had slain her freind Sywynn. "AEYEEEYYYEY!!" and a HAHA! MADD CACKLE could be heard frequently… During her rescue attempts 2 heros tried to help one bythe name of william but he looked much worse off upon his return to jiyyd and a unamed follower of Torm who was seen bieng praised for saving the two form the beasts of the East. Another madd cackle was heard as they were both raised.....
-
First, it was just talk of a troll mage creeping dangerously close to Jiyyd. It was a group of Sails that went after the monster returning to the town with a corpse that was simply dropped off at the entrance. They didn't seem to care about the dead and just headed east accompanied by a druid, apparently looking for more bloodshed. A good while later they were seen running back into Jiyyd, muttering about frogs or slaadi and - a bit later - coward.
-
Regal Whore patrons can be heard talking about the death of a hin whose name was reportedly unknown. Some accounts claim that this hin was seen running around town, explaining, nay, exclaiming that she did not fear death. She simply did not wish to die unknown. Moments later, she was found frozen to death on the Eastern Road to Ormpur. Unfortuntely, nobody knew who she was and she was arranged to be buried among the various unknown would-be heroes of Jiyyd. When asked about the hin woman, one Regal Whore patron commented "What hin woman?" before downing an ale and stumbling into the nearest table.

Just after sunset a frantic Skald lead a small group out onto the orc plains following a trail of burning drums. In town he was heard to say that someone was playing out there and it was not an 'orc or hobby'.
Most of the group returned to the town just after dawn, Jerr was last seen running north, and it did not looki like a good time to stop and ask him questions.
Several hobgoblin corpses on the path proved that point very well.

Anyone wishing to speak with me on the werewolf matter, may find me in Jiyyd or in the gypsy camp, simply ask for Aelthas Benthur.
_After saying that, Aelthas is seen once again heading off to the east, if anyone follows, they see him simply kill a deer and leave the meat just inside the cave entrance, he then sits outside the cave for some time, as if waiting for the werewolf to emerge.
He can be seen doing this most days by any who are near and makes no attempt to hide the fact that he is feeding it. He spends more and more time each day near the cave.. especially after hearing about the body found there.
He has also been heard asking where the body went to, if it was brought to the Temple for burial._
-
_Visitors to the poor werewolf cave near Jiyyd may be surprised to find a naked human body there. Looks like it was ripped apart by something strong, with large claws.
Astute trackers checking soon enough afterwards might be able to find tracks near the cave including a smallish set of footprints with uneven stride length. The bootprints are nondescript, but definitely indicate an injured left leg. The farmworkers don't report hearing anything unusual._
// Shadevar was the werewolf DM for further enquiries

The silver haired Sister, Nyda, nods with a smile to word of the mans attempts to contact the Werewolf.
"Yes, please leave the creature be, Aelthas is attempting to bring it into Selune's Light, he has my support in this and I have laid in a goodly supply of Belladonna"
-
A blond half-elf wearing green and black leather and a brown cloak seems to take interest in the rumors about the man in blue and grey plate. She asks for all the details she can about the man and his incident with the werewolf.
"Verry interresting," she remarks with a slight purr in her voice. She seems to quite readily agree that the werewolf should be left alone.

Rumor has it that a council has conveened and decided to rename Stirges to Wisps, and Wisps to Stirges. This decision seems to be causing an uproar among the long-lived citizens of Jiyyd. Whether this story is purely fictional, or completely true, is hard to tell.

Rumour buzzes around the town about a thick darkness covering the swamp, penetrated by flashing, strange lights. Eerie howls have been heard and foul hounds have attacked the townsfolk, causing most to bar all their windows and doors. As a small group entered the swamp with grim and determined faces, a group of stout defenders took their position near the entrance of the murky place. Demonic beings poured out to attack the defenders whilst the other group ventured deep into the swamp on their mission, returning hours later looking tired but cautiously optimistic about their success. The darkness has lifted, the town is safe and the swamp is now once more the home to nothing more than the lovely stirges, wisps and occasional troll.
