Royal Troff Legion in the pass

  • _Not long after word spreads of the departure of the Hoarans from the pass a column of Troff Legion scouts and soldiers led by Aranwë, move South into the bridge area of the pass and make camp on the hill surrounding the tower.

During the next few days and weeks, Troff Legion soldiers constantly patrol the road and perimeter of the encampment. Legionnaires are seen entering and leaving the tower throughout each day and others seem to be inspecting the structure of the tower on the outside and searching the grounds surrounding the tower._

//Any DMs interested in this activity feel free to send me a PM//

  • ((bumping this as a helpful reminder of what was agreed upon back when the camp was vacated, the Legion should be well aware of it still though new people might not be - unless they ran into a pink-collared werewolf 😉 ))

  • Albry mingles with those about her for the majority of the day, exchanging pleasantries and discussing recent news with the more familiar faces. As dusk befalls the land, she bids farewell to her friends as she packs to depart for Norwick, and informs Aelthas she will take his request for aid to Chancellor Biswan.

  • _::High Priestess of Lathander Rith Phoenixfeather joins those holding the camp and offers whatever aid she can, both in mundane tasks such as cutting wood and cleaning, or other more divine, with spells and prayers such as Create Water, Heroes' Feast, Stone Wall, Stoneshape, or any others in her repertoire that can be of use. Often she performs her dawn prayers in the Gypsy Camp asking for Lathander's blessings to nurture the land, and aid it in thriving.

She does not take permanent residence in the camp, however, choosing to use teleport spells to save travelling time and remain within the camp as long as possible before leaving, to then return the same way after having enjoyed some well needed rest and company of her most loved ones::_

  • _During breaks in the meetings, Aelthas is seen wandering the Camp on patrols with any friends by his side that will come. He moves as much rubble as he can in front of Ceras tree door and is often seen in the general area making sure no one goes inside.

He makes his way to the Waterfall in search of Dwin when he hears that he entered and hasn't left, seeking a word with him._

    ((Will pm you.

  • Dwin Dolvak marches into the camp and heads straight for the cave behind the waterfall where he seemingly remains.

  • _With the first lights of dawn, a unit of eleven Peltarch Defenders entered the Gypsy Camp, all armed and armored in official Peltarch issue, weapons in sheath. At the fore, a young soldier woman, ashen-haired, stern-looking, with two great axes crossed at her back.

She seemed to spend a fair while discussing with Aelthas in the open, with Lycka, Fadia and anyone else who would care to come nearby at that moment as witnesses, in which from a distance appeared to be a formal conversation. Once it was concluded, the young soldier bid farewell and together with the unit of Defenders, turned around and left whence they came._

  • As folks begin to gather, Aelthas motions them all to take a seat on the hay covered lower floor, none of the usual luxuries available at the moment. He reaches deep into a pack and begins to pull out bottles of Romani wine to share about and also salted beef that he begins to warm up over the small fire he has going. As the smell of the food begins to fill the tower and the wine is passed about he looks to all those present with a smile.

I know some may be surprised that I'm here before you all, some less then surprised. The Hoarrans are gone as you've noticed. Some went easily, some not so easily. As for Jonathon himself, he is not dead last I saw, but was judged by the laws of the gods. His punishment was fitting for his crimes. If any should meet him, do with him as you wish.

Rightfully, this land belongs to the Romani. I will send word to any I can find and ask if they wish to return. Whether one year from now or a hundred, this land is theirs by right. Until such a time as they come to reclaim it, I will hold back the monsters and men who wish to claim it as their own as best I can.

I cannot do this alone though, we all have fought a long hard battle to retake the Camp.. so I ask of you all a simple thing. All the groups of good heart within the land, all the towns who do not try and take this land from the rightful owners, I beg you send aid to help hold it not only for the Romani, but as a strategic center of Narfell. One or two men, ten, it matters not. Food, weapons, armor, whatever you can spare to help keep back the gnolls as they will not waste much time in trying to move in with the Hoarrans gone. I need help and I'm not too full of pride in my old age to admit it.

He takes a few moments to check on the food and pours more wine for the guests in attendance before speaking again.

Those who do agree to come, there are few rules. The land is Romani and as such the laws here shall remain Romani. They are expected to obey them. Until the Romani return, the Camp will not be settled, it will remain a land welcoming to all, a resting place for caravans or any traveler, but not a home, not even for me, I simply take this as my post. The soldiers who come will remain under the command of the Legion, Peltarch, Norwick, whoever sends them but they will respect my leadership as well and listen in such matters. Cera's tree shall remain closed until further notice.

Caravans will be given free passage as of now, we will have no bridge tolls. He chuckles lightly I do hope with the kindness of the towns and groups within the land, I will not require taxes of any sort to maintain the tower and the camp within.

We have been given payment for the wrongs committed against the land, the Pass is safe for the time being and I wish it to stay that way for the foreseeable future..

This may be a lot to take in at one time, please think on it, enjoy the wine and food and rest easy.. for the moment, the Camp is Romani again and safe. Any questions, please ask them and I will answer as best I can.

  • Seeing the Generals relaxing, Labur calls over two privates, after a brief conversation, they are seen running off to the Legion Tower with smiles on their faces, only to return shortly with two kegs of fine Red Army Ale.

  • Legion

Grag joins Marty. Less see wha me nephew is up ta grins

  • Legion

Marty takes out her pipe and begins to pack it as things start to become merry. You'd probably not notice she was there before she speaks…

Well then, This is great! It's such a blessing to be in this part of the pass without having to dodge Hoaran arrows!

she lights her pipe and draws back on it deeply. After holding the smoke in for a moment she exhales it with a relieved sigh

  • After hearing of the happenings, Val arrives on the scene and waves to Aelthas, then makes some very complicated waves. She looks happy though

//OOC: Anyone who understands Sign Language and wants to know what she said, and would be there, send me a PM

  • @1370b803c6=Zangeen:

_Albry (who just happened to be in the area seeking General Grag, no doubt to discuss the Hoarans' departure) makes her way towards Aelthas, a slight smile catching the corners of her mouth.

"Aelthas, it has been quite some time. It's wonderful to see you again."_

Rain tags along with Albry, keeping guard of Norwick's military advisor.

  • From the top of the tower, a merry Gypsy melody drifts down, before a silver-white head of hair comes into view, Lycka's strong and clear voice calling out:

"LOVE! All this friendly talk means a no-go for my artillery muffins, doesn't it? I should probably contain them, they're errr.. expanding.. "

She disappears from view again, alarming pops, cracks and splats coming from above. Reappearing with a bright, triumphant smile, Lycka adjusts the black armband circling her bicep, wipes a bit of muffin shrapnel off her chest and calls down again:

"I'm fine, everything's fine! Nothing to see up here.."

  • Even with the arrival of many friendlies, Labur instructs his troops to stay on their guard.

  • Looking relieved to see the community converging on the pass, Aranwe has a few quiet words with a Legion scout who, immediately afterward, takes to horseback and rides North at a gallop.

  • Approaching from the south and crossing the bridge at slow speed, a human figure dressed in red can be seen walking leaning her weight on a staff, her red-scaled cloak shinnes under the sun's light. Near her a large black feline pads quietly taking a couple of steps ahead of her…
As she arrives to the tower, she nods to everyone, giving Aelthas a small wave of her free hand.

Ah, excelent. Thewre's exactly the people I thought thewre would be.

  • You will serve fine Ama'bael. I simply wish to discuss the matter of this land being taken and now held under the banner above with the people of this land. Bring whoever else you wish to hear. I've stocked up on romani wine and food for the discussions.

A bright smile lights up his face, something rarely seen from the man when not around his family. A peace finally settled on his face, the creases where all the stress he held once suddenly gone as he welcomes them all into the tower.

  • Ama passing by looks up at the top of the tower and those gathered before she speaks.

I can serve as the Shesae's representative. If you wish me to help gather any others in particular, do let me know and I shall assist where I can.
