Hoarrans at the tower

  • _A group of close to twenty Hoarrans, mounted and in full plate, shields held at the ready, though spears in cases ride up slowly to the Legion tower. Two non-armored ride with them near their center, one a young looking woman, the other seemingly just a boy. They are talking quietly amongst themselves, and even to the Hoarrans now and then, obviously in no distress.

Rather then passing the tower they draw up close to the base, and the leader dismounts slipping her helmet off. Some might recognize the face of Danielle. Raising her voice to be heard by her people as well as any in the tower she shouts out,_

Recently I was called murderer by one of yours. I was told that we have no right to defend our home against those who think our land is but only their road. They claimed no one has this right, if people come with no seemingly hostile intentions. My unit and I will be camping in your yard based on this. I've been told you have no right to stop me. Would one of you like to come down and tell me I was told wrong?

  • General Theaon watches from inside the Legion Tower as the Hoarans leave.

  • Labur is seen helping load up wagons and in any way possible, glad to see them moving on from the Legion's land.

  • Corporal Anor can be seen saying goodbye to Danielle with a smile, asking her to stop by sometime soon for more chatting

  • With little warning, Danielle returns with her two guards. Quick orders have her entire unit breaking down their camp and packing up under her watchful gaze. Riselle, still seemingly slumbering still from the previous night, is loaded on to a wagon. When all the tents have been struck, Jenni and Jonni appear from the wood line suddenly carrying a box and having quiet words with Danielle. With a nod and a small smile and prayer the two are loaded with the box on to the same wagon as Riselle. Once all has been packed and loaded, Danielle leads them south through hostile lands to the Kelemvorite Shrine.

  • With the return of three of her men, the last two still in Oscura, Danielle taps off two more who mount up as well as herself. She leaves instructions with the remainder to ration what they can and keep order for the next few days, she's heading to the Shrine of Kelemvor. With a few nods she wheels south along with her two guards. Shortly down the path two arrows smack against her shield to calls of "Trespasser!"

I know your mother Jacob! Do that again and I'll be having a talk with her!

The three continue south, while in the pass two Hoarrans nudge a young and now red faced boy. Yeah, Jakey, she'll be havin' yer mum after ye!

  • "Ah, very well. Let's be off then."
And with this, Adrian and his retinue set out to the checkpoint.

  • Inconvenient, but not unexpected. Jonathan will be meeting with you west of here at the northern checkpoint. Should have maps. Danielle calls off five of her men who immediately began saddling their horses. They will escort you and make sure you arrive safely, Senator. Good luck.

Danielle returns to the tents talking softly at one of them, before returning to her overseeing of her camp. Not long afterwards a young woman and a boy exit the tent she stopped at, and taking the boys hand in her left the woman lays her right on a tree before they seem to step into it and are gone.

  • Labur is seen in the door as Grag storms out and mutters something about them still being camp out on their lawn. He then turns back to the troops and helps Elsbeth with supplies and drills for the troops.

  • Adrian looks at the raging horc for a moment, then simply comments to Danielle.
"Well.. that is rather .. inconvenient."

  • Vick drifts back into the wood and down south, checking the troop movements by the Hoarans and their build up of forces

  • Legion

barges out the doors Te hells this i hear? Nae Jonathan comin ta my HOME until I am welcome back IN his and nae longer called a murderer by his lips danielle. When Jonathan grow up an stop accusin me for shite i nae did he is welcome ere… Until that day he is not.. Have yer meetin at the tempus shrine or sumthin...

  • With no voices raised in protest, or immediate shouts of no, Danielle sends a messenger of for Jonathan, then waits patiently watching the Senator and the Defenders.

((Send me availibility for IG meeting in PM Archon))

  • For that I'm afraid you'll need to get the Legion's permission I'm afraid. I am here under their… sufferance. If they agree then I'll send for Jonathan immediately.

  • "Ah, as soon as possible. That is why I have come here, afterall. As to the location, I believe this area or the area outside your main encampment would do fine."

  • A messenger has been sent and returns back at a dead run to Danielle, who repeats back his words to the Senator.

When and where do you want to meet?

  • "I see. Well then.. the Senate of Peltarch is debating the possibility of officially recognizing your claim to certain areas in this region. No doubt you see the value in such a thing. To this end, however, we require your leaders to deliver a written and signed declaration of exactly which areas your people claim."

  • Any in the tower might have seen Aelthas there late one afternoon, after serving a meal out to all the Hoarrans, he spoke with Danielle for a short time near the fire. The two of them went off to the training grounds and had a friendly sparring match, both laughing as they did and seeming to have a good time. After another short talk Aelthas was seen heading north with a smile on his face and in obvious good spirits.

  • At the sight of the Defenders, whether sparring, at rest or tending the horses, the Hoarrans drop what they are doing and form up in semi-circle with Danielle at their center, and the Peltarchians in their center. Danielle raises a hand in greeting.

I can send for him, but I am not sure his response will be any different then the last time you tried to arrange a meeting with him. May be best to state your purpose here in the open where all if those in hearing may know. Now is not the time for word to filter back of me meeting with Senators in private.

Her words seem carefully chosen and loud enough to be clearly heard for a good distance. Some might find this odd, but then some might find it odd that there's been no new shipments of supplies either, ever since Danielle herself left a few days ago, and returned after a day.

  • _A notable sight, Senator Adrian Petrarch arrives at the Hoaran encampment, along with a retinue of Defender guards and an assistant or two. After finding out who's in charge, he approaches Danielle with a smile.

"Ah, well met. I believe you are the leader of this encampment?
I am Senator Adrian Petrarch, and I come on behalf of the city of Peltarch, to speak with Jonathan. If you so wish, I am willing to expand on the exact nature of my presence in private."_
