Whispers at the Fire

Dwin reminds his advisers when he hears about the Oscuran queries, that all sales of property in the Realm are governed by the Chancellor and his office, and that any Oscuran interest in purchasing should be directed to the Great Hall.
-
Word has it that Oscuran agents are inquiring about closed shops, farms, or anyone wishing to sell either. Not that any offers have been made, but they do seem to be keeping track of what is available and how much people want to sell for.
-
_Seems a wagon bearing various goods for Oscura has arrived. Various cheeses, pottery and glasswares are being sold from the wagon by a handful of people bearing the sigil of the Black Lotus. If the wagon isn't emptied they give away what's left for free.
At the end of the day they hand the proceeds over to the ranking Norwickian nearby and leave town.
When asked about their odd behvaior they just smile and say 'it's business'_
-
_People in Oscuran livery are about town seemingly talking with people and being polite to the various Norwickian officials.
Seems they are doing two things of note quite openly.
First, a group has gone to all the merchants and have handed out a small sack of coins containing a platinum, a gold, an electrum, a silver, and a copper pieces all stamped from Oscuran mints. While handing the coins over they are told the benefits of having a standard coinage weight used for all transactions to maximize merchant profits and minimize loss per coin trade as the Narfell coinage used is a wide mix of various quality and weights used throughout Faerun.
Secondly, another groups seems to be offering jobs for the unemployed and skilled workers in Oscura, for Oscura, and outside Oscura depending on their vocation.
How effective either group is has yet to be seen._

Caelian has been wandering around the Rawlinswood and Norwick, seemingly preparing things for somebody's arrival.
-
The Chancellor sees the large rat-hunting orc above ground for the first time in decades and chuckles a bit. He asks his guards to keep an eye on Bigus, and if he misbehaves or tries to eat anything (or anyone) inappropriate, to lure him back to the jails with a dead rat on a string.
-
Bigus Orcus has been released from jail. Not that he was sentenced for anything. he just liked to hang out there and catch the rats to feed the prisoners. He is seen wandering around looking for food
-
A small party that traveled to the Lake and the west Rawlinswood encountered a Bugbear caster that stated that the West Rawlinswood was property of the Bugbears. The party seemed to agree that the bugbear was very lost and not in its right mind due to the way it acted
-
Rumour spreads troughout the Realm that Rando has adopted a litter of puppies, and sneaks out during the night to go play with them. Or so rumour spreads.
-
word has it that an Orc was seen eating its own ear near the fire and liked the taste
-
Rumour has it that a group of adventurers encountered magical portals on the outer edge of the Norwick southern defenses. Hooked Horrors, Giant Spiders, Deep Feeders, and an enraged Umberhulk were met and dispatched, but not before they destroyed the southernmost gate and inconvenienced several heroes.
The stalwart band continued south to find the source of the menace, and got as far as the shores of the lake before being forced to turn back after running out of magical resources.
Amongst those present was Elyl, Ginger, Parsley, Gears, Aramuil, and a very scared, very confused Scuttle.
-
Arak´Hur can be seen limping into Norwick, coming from te south gate. Word has it that some masked man gave him bad food and in consequence, they fought out side town. Anyone speaking to Arak´Hur wount get any answers from him…probabbly becouse he couldnt hear what they were saying or becouse he simply ignored them
-
One morning after sunrise prayers, Elyl and Kia are seen coming from the east valley and heading up to Z's farm. Holding hands and in a happy mood, carrying what looks like a picnic basket and blanket, they enter a field that seems to have the healthiest and highest crops on the farm. Being careful as they enter not to trample the crops they disappear for a while to enjoy their picnic, emerging later with the basket and blanket, both looking happy and content as they head off for home.
-
_The young Temposan called "Hammerhand" has been moving around the town, offering blessings from Tempus in exchange for donations to guards and adventurers alike.
At the same time, he's been asking around for any appropriate work that's being offered._

Runners go out to the various towns and hotspots informing people of a secret job and a strange employer seeking applicants. The runners explain that the details of the job are unknown, but a man at the Mithril Mug tavern is seeking applicants. Anyone is welcome to apply, but there are a limited number of available openings… Skilled adventurer's of any type are welcome to seek out Marshal in the back of the Mithril Mug.

Talk at the fire was Rando had a fight in the woods with someone called Harvey… fight lasted a while, but then it was said this Harvey just disapeared mid fight
-
*Rumour has it a Dwarf called Hoggstar Stonegutter was causing trouble near the fire. He was insulting Rando and a Scout named Vlad and generally causing trouble. He claimed he could get way with anything because he was cousin to Dwin.
It was said Rando gave him one day to apologise or Rando would give him a lesson in manners outside the gates as Rando had promised not to kill or beat anyone inside the town.
Vlad, more annoyed, challenged the Dwarf to meet him outside the gates… The dwarf then run away to his ale mug instead of meeting the Elf outside the gates...
It was quiet a shock to see a dwarf run away from a challenge from an Elf.... Strange times in Norwick, strange times indeed.*

@a85f052c70=Archon_Prime:
A young man who calls himself Hammerhand has been asking around Norwick for any local clergy of Tempus, or any experienced faithful who can help him learn of the faith.
Yana, who has been in Norwick recently flags him down. Though she bears the symbol of Lathander, a raven's feather is pinned with the symbol of Tempus in her hair.
I would either speak to Devvie…um...Devlin, or my mom Maya. Devlin is the local militia commander. My mom helps run the inn, and teaches combat behind it. She's the local master at arms, and Norwicks martial champion.
She's also Tempus' divine champion in this region, if that helps. At least I think she still is. She fell recently, so I don't know. She doesn't talk about it that much with me.
Oh, there's also Krig Skullboil. He's the High Priest of Tempus. A dwarf with white armor. You can't miss him...except, well, I haven't seen him around in countless years. You could try the Dwarven Hold
