Whispers at the Fire
-
_Lord Dolvak and Union Leader Z are seen east of town scoping out an area that has been previously cleared of shrubs and trees. The two walk around for a while, inspecting the fast moving stream that flows nearby, as well as the slope of the land (Dwin uses the standard ale-bottle level test).
After a while, the two start scribbling some numbers on paper and appear to making some sketches. After a bit more of thatm they eventually shake hands and return to town, discussing the need for "lumber, builders and nails… lots of nails...."_

_One day, Fendon solemnly makes an announcement that the town's secretary had recently resigned from the administration.
If one inquires for reason of such decision, he would simply remain tight lipped about it and encourages everyone to continue on with their work and business. Though his expression is apparently one of somberness_
-
Lieutennant Cyrian was seen recently chasing his shadow around sword drawn trying to stab it with a look of pure fury in his eyes, he eventually stopped and stood staring off into space for several minutes before he started walking around. He eventually went south into old Norwick where he fell asleep on the road, only to wake several hours later with rats chewing on him, oddly enough when questioned about the odd behavior he just smiles and says "thats silly".
-
_Recently, the Seneschal of Norwick could be seen gathering Norwick labourers and workers alike together, offering them new work as well as briefing them on the matter of upgrading Norwick's existing infrastructure.
Once she is done briefing, Fendon begins to take down the names of the signees and days later, the workers are to be seen busy shoveling up the roads and pavements of Norwick, filling them with smoothened stones or gravels instead.
It seems it is time for Norwick to upgrade its once used to be muddy and dusty road into one made of stones and gravels._
-
A man clad in red armor, known to some as Alfonso, had been seen panting, shouting at the fire some time ago. Witnesses claim he was proclaiming warnings of dangerous pale-skinned goblins attacking the nearby towns and the grave urgency with which the goblin problems ought be addressed.
-
Farly can be seen talking to the guards, warning them of some cheating hins to come around town recently. Apparently they claimed to be from some group, so tighten your purse strings and keep a wary eye open for them.
-
_Cherry who when in Norwick often spends time the romani merchant, Selene, with her stoe Mostly go -for chores or cleaning up merchandise and organizing it.
It all gives Cherry to lounge around on the cusions piled around under Selen's store encampment. When Cherry gets the nerve up, she hurries through Old Norwick to the old suthern gates where she occasionaly meditates and prays, sitting amonst the menhir located there to attune herselflocal anomalies of the Weave. Her explanation if asked, "Grandma Cera told me doing that used to make her feel better."_
-
A tall, muscular blonde, carrying an assortment of spears and other heavy weaponry across her back, comes trotting into New Norwick one day. She heads straight to the office of Norwick secretary Harmony, emerging a while later in the company of the smaller woman. After being shown a tent, the warrioress spreads out a soft fur next to it and begins tending to her weapons with great care. It seems Ragnhild is in town to stay a while, and by the looks of it, she's ready for war.
-
_Stories make the rounds of an old evil roused in the northeast Rawlins.
Something from before the goblins were tainted has returned, perhaps seeking the restoration of sacrifices once made to it.
Dark creatures heralded its appearance, yet the thing did not seem able to fully manifest… quite... yet.
Some say a priestess of Kelemvor in shining mail faced the thing down and drove it off.
Others say the folk spreading such rumors have had too much to drink._
-
A statue of a goblin Veteran can be seen in the near east woods left intact to mock the goblins and their masters. further east there lay the slain corpses of dozens of goblins, many laid waste by terrible magics, some which were killed instantly by the deadly spells
-
Kull can be seen by the norwick´s south gate straping his armor and sharpening his massive war axe, few minuts later he leaves and is seen heading towards the rawlinswoods. Few hours later when the sun is seting, kull can be seen entering the very same gate, is armor somewhat scorched and the tip of his hair and eye brows a little bit burnt. He´s massive war axe is stained with Goblin blood
Farkin gobwins tried da lit me on fire…. he said, and walks off cursing the goblin casters in his native language, orcish
KULL (Half Orc Barbarian, Training Officer and Major in the Legion)
“To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!”
-
_Dwin and the Dwarf known simply as the "Foreman" are seen walking some of the open ground near the Main Road in town. After some grunts and gestures, they open 4 ale bottles and lay them out as corners to a large rectangle. The foreman gets down close and looks at the level of the ale in the bottle, presumably to check the slope of the ground. After nodding at each corner in succession, he drinks the ale, and leaves the empty bottle in its place.
Dwin smiles as he is subsequently joined by his cousin Nor who seems a bit out of place in this rural setting (being a Peltarch resident, after all). The 3 of them quickly open a large scroll and start scribbling some rudimentary plans and arguing over what one might assume was building estimates.
This goes on for a while until the 3 shake hands, share some more ale, and part ways._
-
Chancellor Dwin and his senior Red Cloaks, Mord, Devlin, Elyl and a few others entered the old "bear" cave in the woods only to find some bugbears and what looked like a crude altar. It was the work of a few minutes to destroy the altar and "remove" the bugbears. Once they left, there was an attempted ambush which didnt get too far.
-
Rando was seen at the south gate just after.. ready for anything that dared to attack
-
_Word reaches Norwick that two guards posted by the South gate were recently murdered viciously through the means of being impaled alive. In addition, all of the gates by the southern walls were also destroyed and razed completely to the ground leaving the place undefended for a time.
With the lack of abled trackers present at the time when the scene was discovered, the group present were unable to locate the on responsible for the attacks though curiously, one of them mentioned that they witnessed a necromancer by the name of Chaevre present when they arrived with the bodies of the two guards being reanimated just moments later._

Town rumblings abound regarding the strengthened goblin army in the far East Rawlins… word is that the town healer, a powerful Cleric of Chauntea was carried into his own Apothecary along with a local Druid as a result....
-
A well known Bard of the region has been inquiring at the fires of stories of ogre activity in the Pass. Seems he happened on a pair of ogres acting suspiciously, near what he terms as "Ambush bridge".
If pressed he is of the opinion that the orges were negotiating with the Hobgoblin but states that they made off quickly to the south before he could pick up any specific information.
-
_After dragging the statue halfway to the Spellweavers, a crowd forms and the wiggler known as Peppy emerged.
it was the work of a couple finger wiggles and some chanting to break the curse and bring the Chancellor back to his normal self, who unfortunately still thought he was in a raging battle with the Minotaur.
Later that day, a large force was assembled of Militia, Legion and may others. The small army made its way through the Rawlins leaving little but trampled greenskin corpses in its path. RUmor has it that they entered the cave and likewise left nothing living in their path as they searched the entry level of the Twisted Lair for clues as to why they are here and what they might be guarding._

Rando notices how short the statue is, but does not make any comment
-
_After hearing that his statue at the old south gate was too far destroyed by the fog tobe salvaged, Lord Dwin must have commissioned a new one. Smack in the center of town is where it sits, quite lifelike!
The sculptor must have been quite gifted, as the axe and shield that the statue holds are identical to the ones that the Chancellor himself uses.
The only odd thing is that Dwin isnt there to show it off–usually he'd be the first one to admire it and show it to everyone... odd!_
