IC: Norwick's Rent-A-Friend Program


  • A long scroll of colorful pink parchment is tacked up inside town hall. The writing is in very careful script, with a small sketch of a prismatic dragon at the very bottom of the page. Those who take the time to read the flyer will note the following:

    Ever wanted to buy yourself a friend without resorting to underworld contracting and while still maintaining your moral integrity? Well, now you can, with Norwick's new Rent-A-Friend Program, sponsored by the town of Norwick in conjunction with the Minister of Fashion, Penny Lane! No more lonely trips into the Rawlins by yourself, folks! Take your very own Rent-A-Friend today!

    **How the program works:

    Announcements will be posted throughout town several days in advance of a Rent-A-Friend auction. Posted on the flyer will be the names of those individuals who have volunteered to be rented out. Pick your new favorite friend from the list, and show up to the auction. Highest bidder wins a full day of fun with your Rent-A-Friend. It's as simple as that!

    **Think you'd make a good Rent-A-Friend?

    Sign up to be a Rent-A-Friend today! Leave a letter for Penny Lane with any town guard ((PM please)) listing your name, and what type of friend you'd like to be - for example, hunting partner, date companion, etc. Then show up to your assigned auction date. When someone bids on you and wins, you retain 75% of the proceeds just for participating! A great way to meet new friends and add a few coins to your pocket as well!****

    Part two of Norwick's Rent-A-Friend program is on the horizon! Be there, or miss out on a potential friend-connection! ((This Sunday, October 29, 4pm eastern, which I think is either 8 or 9pm GMT. It'll be happening at this time, as promised, to be more Euro-friendly :)))

    If anybody happened to be nearby, a faint sound of giggling can be heard just shortly after Tindra leaves, but then is gone._

    Most definitely, Attlen. Keep in mind all, this is not a buy-a-sex-slave program. Participants will tell you whether they are available for dinner, long walks in the park, hunting, etc., at their discretion. You are ABSOLUTELY NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, allowed to force, pressure, or otherwise coerce them into doing something that they do not OOC agree to beforehand. Those types of pressures are not tolerated, and are dealt with via swift discipline, so please keep this concept true to the fun lightheartedness with which it was conceived. Thank you!
