Council of War
-
As the sun sets on a war torn Peltarch, beleagured men and women are seen returning to the south tower and the large camp that now surrounds it. Soldiers mingle with refugees, and word spreads that some of the remaining leaders are planning a council of war in the morning. Few seem certain as to how things will proceed now that the traitors apparently control the city. Nico and Roland are seen speaking together with Zyphlin before retiring for the evening.
((I don't think we've decided on a time yet, but I'm pretty sure we'll get a lot of people IG together later today - this post is mainly a reminder to the other senators who are still alive and to let the city DMs know, since we need them to plot with the NPC captains.))
-
Long into the night Anna Sigerlson, Priestess of Red Knight was seen toiling away at a table surrounded by candelabras magic lights. Working from notes taken by she and Kara using a telescope and an old map of Peltarch. She makes brand new copies. Each signed with the symbol of Red Knight. The maps bear the quality of a fine cartographer. She presents copies to Lavindo, Roland, and Evendur. She is then seen tucking a little boy in and laying next to Mariston for a good night sleep.

Roland offers his personal thanks to the dwarves for their help.
-
Creaking noises can be heard as three large, shapes appear on the crest of the hill overlooking the refugee camp. Painted a dull black, 3 large trebuchets are unveiled by a group of travellers that seem nearly spent by their efforts of pushing these siege weapons
Dwin Dolvak, who appears to be leading the effort pours 2 full ales over his head. After opening the third he decides to imbibe it.
We heard ya folks could use some help, ere. We brought the 3 orc launchers from Jiyyd. They're waht ya might call "battle tested."
Seein' as Grag ain't paid fer em yet, I figgered they're still mine to make use of, and launchin' cows up here is better use than gatherin' dust in Jiyyd!
Foilir….where ya want 'em?

(( as i will not be avail. for when the further part of this event will be this will be an account of what barrim will be doing ))
Barrim walks the camp, coordinating information, and the progress of the battle - accompanying General Lavindo, and working with Foilir aiding in the firing of his siege machinery.
Before the forces depart, he says the following short speech to the loyal and civilian volunteers defenders, stood in front ofthe guard outpost at the assembled troops.
_"You will fight in the streets, the alleys in the houses of your enemy – you will fight for the enemies death, not your lives. You will fight and drive this filth from this magnificent city. You will do these things and you will be remembered no matter where you walk tomorrow beside your loved one or by the side of your god"
"Do not forget a battle for supremacy against many foes is a battle of the finest kind. There are few considerations, only those concerning where to place your next shot or where the next swordblow lands. It is war in its purest form."_

((in case anyone missed the notice in the Peltarch channel, as I did, there's going to be a meeting at 00:30 CET or 23:30 GMT, or 6:30PM EST…))
-
Anna Sigerlson can be seen moving throughout the camp her tunic splattered with blood as she tends to the wounded as they trickle in from their hiding spaces in and around the city.
She seems to be distant but always ready with a smile and a healing hand.
-
Evendur sequesters himself in a private tent in the refugee camp, emerging only periodically to speak with fellow members of the council. He seems uncharacteristically unnerved – some might speculate that this chaos is his worst fear, and without military and tactical skill, he is powerless to bring order...
((OOC, this means that I'm more than likely gone till Tuesday. Gotta graduate…))

Word from the camp and the chain of authority prior to the first council of war:-
Magistrate Barrim has been seen since escorting two senators out of the fighting during the initial troubles in and around the camp coordinating efforts on behalf of the council.
-
He has spoken to Priestess Daisy as well as Kaster Lavindo, who he is now calling General Lavindo at length.
-
He advises after speaking with the rest of the council during the early hours of the troubles that lives should not be wasted on the defences of the city without th express direction of a military officer of Peltarch, or a member of the interim council of war. Officers are recognisable by a red flash on the shoulder of the green fullplate uniform of a defender, and captains by gold or purple flashes.
-
The council being, the senators that are present from the city. Notably Senator Roland, Evendur, Black and Syne when he is found, the Magistrates Barrim and Zyphlin and the remaining military commanders Captain Anakore, (General) Lavindo (npc) and Varid (npc).
-
We have received a pledge of support from the Legion whom Grag has said will aid in securing positions around the camp, patrolling and maintaining suplly lines to the south. The militia of norwick have also pledged their support granting the use of the militia barracks should the need be there. Also Mr Dolvak, the Head of the Crafters guild has pledged his full support to the council and the loyal servants of the city.
-
He asks for any information to be brought back to camp about the situation in the city, the military council will coordinate all infomation and any responses.
-
Magistrate Barrim calls for any responsible individuals to be vigilant against infiltrators and criminals reminds folk that while the camp exists punishments for crimes, serious or small against anyone or any emplacement concerned with the loyal servants of the city will be strict.
"Yesterday we had someone trying to take a lollipop from a a childs play area, we wont have that kind of thing again" - Barrim remarks with his usual concern for children.
(( Let me know if any edits need to occur to this post for clarification anyone concerned with the council or defenders ))
