Sharrens in the Pass
-
A haggered and beaten Hen shuffles to the gates of Peltarch before the break of dawn looking quite angry demanding the first guard she saw to unbind her immediately. Once she hits the city interior she storms right into the City hall to inform the herald of a cell of Sharrens setting up camp within the pass accurately detailing three dwarven fighters whom came from invisibility and one elven mage who similarly came from invisibility. However she focuses much of her attention of the leader, as masked man in purple and black leathers who appeared to be the main force.
The man was able to call upon darkness freely even with a dagger to his throat and with Hen in a position of seeming control on the man so she urges it to be included in the report that he is to be killed on sight or enspelled upon at first sight. She goes on to include that overall He is a poor fighter and can be confronted in open combat but you need to be careful of his ability to vanish into the shadows. From the shadow he is a rather deadly foe, and especially with the combined efforts of his group.
She details that she was able to openly fight them with the use of valuable potions however would not advise such to be taken into consideration without accurate preparation and surveying of the area. She Urges people not to travel and if the do to take the boat to and from North to South to make the bandit attempts fewer and to hopefully force them into a more disagreeable position.
Once Hen is done detailing the report to the herald she makes sure spread the word through the city especially to the Far Scouts, Defenders, the triad and Lighthouse Temples first before she herself vanishes from the city in quite a grump.

The druid Wick Lockrah, also validates the Sharrans in the pass. He claims to have done honorable combat with one for a undisclosed sum of money and found the man extremely tough, and surprisingly immune to most Druid magics. A disturbing tale indeed.
Though Wick admits he lost the fight, he states the man seemed to have honor as he stuck to the deal and let him go afterwards.

Mystran priestess and Cerulean Third Star Shesarai arrived at City Hall with a tale of another Sharran ambush on the road. It occurred in same place as the attack a few weeks ago reported by Hen, on the west side of the road near the entrance to the Kuo Toa cavern and the Oscurran tunnel. Also as before, a masked man led the ambushers, though the really dangerous one was a mage who cloaked himself in invisibility and then cast several high level spells. Shesarai said she identified Bigby's Interposing Hand, several Great Thunderclaps, and at least two Flesh to Stone spells.
Shesarai, coming up from the opposite direction while Alvaniel and Gnarl were dazed, managed to severely wound the mage with two Searing Light spells. He then ran off to the south, followed by the masked man. In the aftermath of the battle, a note was discovered on the ground staked by a knife. It read: "The pass belongs to the Sharrans. Don't forget!"
The bandits also laid a number of traps on both sides of the road to help cover their ambush. A night earlier, several traps were discovered near the Nars Bridge on both sides of the road. Until this Sharran threat can be adequately dealt with, great caution is urged when traveling south, especially on the road. Do not travel alone!
