Dentias Flomeigne, Azrael Galuisen, and Gulir Minert

  • Council of Moradin

Dentias Flomeigne, devoted servant of Kossuth, Acolyte of the Order of the Flame, and Librarian of Spellweaver Keep.

Always dressed in red robes with his hood low on his brow, Dentias makes for an intruiging figure. Most times his hands will be tucked into the alternate sleeve. He wears gloves over his hands and the top of an ornate necklace can be seen around his neck though if there is a charm at the end it cannot be seen.

This leaves little if any skin exposed to the eye and most should be thankful for it.

If you are unlucky enough to see him with his hood down or in a brightly lit room or early/late in the day where sunlight isn't casting a deep shadow over his face you will find his face a rather shocking sight. Most of his features have been burnt badly enough to be nearly nonexistant. The tip of his nose is gone and one can stare directly into his nasal cavities. He is completely bald including his eyebrows from deep burn scars that cover his head and neck. Hands are in similar shape though, since they are covered in gloves much of the time, most will never know.

He is a slightly larger than an average man both in height and in frame and seems to manage his equiptment with ease. Seems quite at ease with using a sword and shield despite his claims of being a librarian.

His voice has a strength to it and despite his appearance most find him an agreeable conversationalist. He speaks with an educated mannor and can be a compelling spokesman.

    –------------------------------

(Lore 18 unless you have been there)
For those who have traveled much and know such things they will detect a Thayan accent which he seemingly makes no attempt to disguise despite Thay's less than friendly history.

(Lore 25 if you have been a guest of the Church, 30 if you have been to Thay, 40+ if none of the above)
If you are exceptionally well versed in the inner working of the Church of Kossuth from Thay you may recognise the insignia that connects his belt tassles as that of the Order of the Flame, an exceptionally elite group of persons devoted to Kossuth and prone to self immoliation as a test of faith.

Most probably wouldn't recognize the librarian of the second floor if it were not for the red robes and other accoutrements. Dentias has recently returned from a long trip to Thay and seems a bit different.

His physical appearance being one of the more obvious. The deep scars and gnarled features people had grown accustomed to are now perfectly smoothe and a more consistent shade of red. While still very disfigured and strange in form he seems less like a creature to be pitied and more like something alien.

His old red wool robes have been replaced with padded silks and gold fringe.

Gulir Minert, Battle Cleric of Tyr and Advisor to the Crafters Union and the Dwarven Council

Wow… You honestly can't remember seeing an older dwarf... or one quite so round and can still squeeze into armor. He is so damned old even his beard fell out... How it is this fossil is alive, much less swinging that huge greataxe around, is really a miracle.

Did I say huge? Maybe gigantic is more the case. This axe has a brilliant golden shine to it and even the dumbest of people can figure out this isn't a show piece. Anyone who has ever fought beside this crusty old dwarf knows damn well that you do not want to be on the business end of this thing. The handle is nearly as long as Gulir is tall and wrapped in what looks to be scally skin of some sort. The head of the axe is as broad as most men's shoulders.

His hands look harder than steel and bear the marks of many years of working the forge. A firm handshake from him could make most grown men cry. Gulir will be the first to tell you he is the best weaponsmith for a hundred miles in any direction. He'd be more than happy to prove it... IF you got the coin.

He wears a holy symbol of Tyr around his neck which is a little strange for a dwarf. His armor is finely polished and well kept despite looking to be a couple sizes too small. There are more than a few reports of him skipping putting on armor in a surprise attack as it would take too long to squeeze into it. His helmet has a somewhat overly large spike coming out of the top. If questioned most of the other dwarves will grin and tell you it's for keeping giants from getting too close... You don't want to know how ruthless Gulir can be when fighting giants... trust me...

Gulir spent many years running the Norwick Militia. During his time he is known to often remove the off hand of criminals as punishment for a crime. Gulir would always leave them with their good hand so they could still find honest work.

When things are smoothe the cantankerous old dwarf will joke (not particularly well) and tell old stories (again... not so well), but when trouble is near the battle cleric who has survived more wars in the underdark than most people have seen years takes over. Yelling out orders to all around and tearing thru the ranks of the enemy, Gulir will most always be at the front of a fight. Between battles he will often heal those around him and then himself last.

Again... how this living fossil manages to do all of this is really beyond explanation.

  • Council of Moradin

Azrael Galuisen, Captain of the Peltarch Defenders and Leader of the Far Scouts

The first thing most will notice is the keen eyes looking over you as if sizing up an opponent in an upcoming contest. Other than the eyes however, he seems much like an average, middle aged elf of around 220 years. Average build, average looks, nothing particularly descript about him or the way he dresses while in the city he has come to call home.

Around the city he is somewhat known. Some consider him a charming fellow with a good sense of humor; others consider him a complete bastard. Perhaps the opinion is flavored by whether or not they have spent time in jail due to an investigation he conducted? Desipte being a member of establishment of the city, he seems very at home in the dock's district and many smile and nod to him there. Are they merely trying to stay on his good side or has he been a friend to those of the lower caste of the city?

He has no discerable accent or markings of origin. Seems as much a local of Peltarch as any other elf who has lived there their entire lives.

For those who watch such things, you will notice his hand is never far from the rapier at his side. He often rests his right hand on the hilt of his trustly blade.

If you do see the rapier drawn it is a rather nastly looking piece of killing equiptment. Deep serrations cover most of the length of the blade and they seem to be designed to cause even more bleeding than a usual strike. Nothing about the pommel or scabbard are remakeable.

Out on the road, he is a very different person. The joking attitude and quick humor fade to a very business like demeanor. Often will issue orders to people regardless of ability or position and expects to be heeded. Prone to disappearing in the middle of a fight to reappear with the head of some hidden enemy.

While on the road he carries a rather large pack. When confronted with a particularly strange or hard encounter, all manner of things can be seen pulled from very organized bags and replaced carefully. Around his waist is a thick belt with several small pouches with an array of items in them. Some seem to hold bits of parchment, others are more like scabbards for three rods that hang close to the short sword on his left hip.
